Afternoon Excursion: Begin your adventure with visits to the Temple of Luxor and Karnak Temple. At Luxor Temple, marvel at the grand courtyard and statues of Ramses the Great. Continue to Karnak by carriage or bus, where you’ll start at the Avenue of Sphinxes and explore its iconic features: the Unfinished Propylon, the towering Hypostyle Hall with 134 majestic columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutankhamun III, and the Temple of Amun adorned with lotus and papyrus motifs. Don’t miss the Granite Scarab of Amenhotep III and the Sacred Lake.

Afternoon Tea and Evening Entertainment: Savor afternoon tea and, after dinner on board, enjoy a traditional belly dance show.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast on board before embarking on a tour of Luxor’s legendary West Bank. Begin with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll explore the intricate tombs of various pharaohs and gain insight into Egypt’s royal dynasties. Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, an architectural marvel dedicated to one of Egypt’s most powerful female rulers. On your return, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two imposing statues of Amenhotep III gazing out over the Nile.

After your excursion, enjoy a leisurely lunch back on board as you set sail toward Esna. Relax with afternoon tea, then join in a lively disco party in the evening, celebrating your day of exploration.

Overnight on Board in Edfu

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast on board before exploring the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the second-largest temple in Egypt after Karnak. Known as Apollonopolis Magna during Greco-Roman times, this temple was dedicated to Horus, the falcon god, and was constructed during the Ptolemaic period, showcasing remarkable carvings and architectural splendor.

After your visit, return to the ship for lunch and sail onward to Kom Ombo. Here, you'll visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris, which stands on elevated grounds overlooking the Nile. Built around 180 BC during the Ptolemaic era, with Roman additions, this unique temple is dedicated to both Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, a form of the falcon-headed god Horus. The temple’s location on a Nile bend, once a favorite sunning spot for crocodiles, is fitting for Sobek’s worship. The structure also features grand hypostyle halls and forecourts added by later rulers, such as Ptolemy XIII and the Roman Emperor Trajan.

Relax with afternoon tea back on board, followed by a delightful dinner and a fun Galabeya party, where you can dress in traditional Egyptian attire and enjoy an evening of entertainment.

After breakfast on board, enjoy the scenic sail to Aswan, where a day of remarkable sites awaits. Your first stop is the Aswan High Dam, an impressive feat of engineering constructed between 1960 and 1970. Built to regulate the Nile’s annual flooding and provide water storage for agriculture, the High Dam also generates hydroelectric power, playing a significant role in Egypt’s economy and culture.

Next, visit the Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan’s northern quarries. Believed to be commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut of the 18th dynasty, this immense obelisk is the largest known ancient obelisk, measuring around 42 meters and weighing nearly 1,200 tons. Left incomplete due to a flaw in the stone, the obelisk offers insight into the stone-working techniques of ancient Egypt.

Then, explore the enchanting Temple of Philae on Isis Island. Dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor, the temple is beautifully situated amid the Nile’s tranquil waters, showcasing intricate reliefs and a rich cultural history.

Return to the cruise for lunch, followed by a relaxed afternoon on board. Dinner is served as you enjoy the serene ambiance of Aswan.
