The highlights of your cycle tour from Porto to Lisbon
The lagoon city of Aveiro: the university city is often referred to as the Venice of Portugal. And no wonder! Situated in the middle of a lagoon, Aveiro is criss-crossed by numerous canals, on which you can take a trip on a Moliceiros boat. In addition to a flourishing trade, salt harvesting is also part of the city's history - look out for the salt pans in the surrounding area.
The charm of the Portuguese Atlantic coast: Portugal is considered one of the sunniest corners of Europe, making it worth a trip almost all year round. On your route, you will discover numerous fishing villages with a very special flair. The picturesque Cabo Mondego lighthouse is just one of the many attractions along the coast.
Tradition and modernity in Lisbon: the city on the Tagus, with its reddish suspension bridge visible from afar, will enchant you in no time at all. Lisbon was built on seven hills, so you will have to put up with inclines - or use the city's Ascensores. You have a magnificent view from the Castelo de São Jorge and the Miradouro da Graça. Be sure to take streetcar line 28, as it passes numerous sights.
