The pearl of the tourism industry in Armenia is the Pagan Temple Garni. The ancient temple was built in the 1st century AD by the king Tiridates the first. Garni Temple was destroyed in 1679 by a strong earthquake and after centuries of attempts at reconstruction, was hardly rebuilt in 1976, during the Soviet Union time. In the complex also located one of the oldest fortresses in Armenia, since the time of the Urartian Kingdom (8th century BC), the Church of St. Zion and the royal baths. The temple is surrounded by unique natural hills called the Symphony of Stones.

Geghard Monastery or Monastery of the Spear is one of the oldest Monasteries in the world, which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the 8th century, the Spear of Fate was brought to the Monastery by the Apostle Fadeus (the Spear of the Legionnaire Longinus who pierced Jesus Christ). The monastery was built in the 4th century, according to legend, by St. Gregory the Illuminator. The complex was completely built in the rock, has many interesting cave halls and is surrounded by majestic natural hills, where you will have a great opportunity to walk and make fabulous memory photos.

The resort city Tsaghkadzor is the center of winter tourism in Armenia, where goes various winter sports events and championships. Further down the hillside is the famous cable car and many other winter and summer activities. The legendary Lake Sevan is the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the most visited attractions in Armenia. Located in the Gegharkunik region, at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level. On the peninsula, on a high hill, located famous Sevanavank Monastery, built in 874, by Princess Mariam. Climbing the hill, you will have a great opportunity to explore the ancient Monastery complex and take really fantastic photos on the background of a magnificent lake. Zvartnots Temple or "Celestial Angels Cathedral" located in Armavir region, not far from the city Etchmiadzin. Built in 640 AD by Catholicos Nerses the Third Builder and was destroyed in the 10th century by a strong earthquake, after which it was found by archaeologists in the begining of 20th century. In ancient centuries in the opening ceremony of the three-tier temple attended the Byzantine Emperor Constant II. There is also a museum complex, which was created in 2000.

Etchmiadzin Cathedral is one of the oldest Monasteries in the whole world and the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church, where sits the Catholicos of all Armenians. It was built in the 4th century AD by St. Gregory the Illuminator (the founder of Christianity in Armenia). Inside the cathedral are kept such significant relics as the Spear of Fate, which is considered as one of the authentic in the world (transported from the Geghard Monastery), Fragments of Noah's Ark, Spear of Longin and much more. It has a huge territory with a beautiful garden where you can arrange an interesting walk and take beautiful photos for memory. The Cathedral is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Sardarapat memorial complex was built in honor of the great victory of the Armenian people during the Turkish invasion in 1918, which in case of defeated, would threaten the complete destruction of the Armenian nation. This battle took place during the intervention of Turkey in the Caucasus, May 22-28, near the same name railway station. Lacking regular troops, the Armenian forces completely defeated the fifty thousandth army of the Turks, thereby stopping the invasion of the entire of Caucasus. The memorial covers a huge territory where you can take an interesting walk, make beautifel photos, and at the end of the complex visit an interesting museum.
