Je ziet niet alleen de paradijselijke stranden van Madagaskar in Sainte Marie en Ifaty, maar je bezoekt ook tal van interessante plaatsen die de rijkdom van de biodiversiteit van het grote eiland benadrukken, zoals de nationale parken Isalo en Andasibe, de pittoreske landschappen van de hooglanden en de Far West van Madagaskar. Tot slot staan er twee culturele ontdekkingen op het programma: het Mahafaly Plateau en zijn mysterieuze funeraire kunst, en de Zafimaniry kunst die op de UNESCO Werelderfgoedlijst staat.

Transfer to the airport and flight to Tulear. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Free stay in this famous destination where seaside tourism enthusiasts can enjoy the sun all year long, sandy beach, quad bike ride by the sea, boat trip, water sports, ... Overnight at the hotel . Included: Breakfast and Dinner.

Ifaty

Dagen 4
Ifaty - Ranohira (6u - 265 km)
Vertrek naar Ranohira. Stop voor een bezoek aan het Antsokay Arboretum, de perfecte plek voor flora liefhebbers, aangezien er ongeveer 900 plantensoorten zijn, die 90% endemisch zijn. Voortzetting van weg RN7 en waardering van baobabs in het prachtige landschap van het spectaculaire landschap van het Great South. Het oversteken van het Mahafaly-plateau en zijn talrijke graven bekroond door Aloalo (gebeeldhouwde houten palen). Het graf van Mahafaly is een grafkunst met representatieve tekeningen van het leven van de overledene. Overnachting in het hotel. Inbegrepen: ontbijt en diner.

Ranohira
Dag gewijd aan het bezoek aan het nationaal park Isalo. Dit ruiniforme massief is een beschermd gebied van 80.000 ha. Het is vooral de habitat van talrijke soorten fauna en flora verspreid over het reservaat. Afgezien van reptielen en maki's leven er 77 soorten vogels, die 70% endemisch zijn. Wandelen in de canyons en zwemmen in natuurlijke zwembaden staat ook in het programma. Voor de meer sportieve, mogelijkheid om het reservaat per fiets te bezoeken (optioneel). Tegen het einde van de middag, bewondering van de zonsondergang door het Isalo-venster, een gelegenheid om wat foto's te maken. Overnachting in het hotel. Inbegrepen: ontbijt, picknicklunch en diner.
Dag 6
Ranohira - Fianarantsoa (6h - 285km)
Voortzetting naar Fianarantsoa. Bezoek onderweg naar het dorpsreservaat Anja, een park gecreëerd door de inwoners van deze plek rijk aan biodiversiteit. We kunnen de makis catta observeren. 15 km verder naar het noorden, stop bij Ambalavao om een Antemoro papierfabriek te bezoeken, een lokale ambachtelijke specialiteit gebaseerd op avoha, een vezelige schors. Overnachting in het hotel. Inbegrepen: ontbijt en diner.

Fianarantsoa - Antsirabe (6h30mn - 240km)
Vertrek naar Antsirabe. Langs de weg zullen we de prachtige traditionele huizen waarderen die typisch zijn voor de hooglanden. Aankomst in Ambositra, bezoek aan de workshops van de beroemdste Malagassische ambachtslieden; hun knowhow in inlegwerk en houtsnijwerk, beter bekend als „kunst zafimaniry”, zijn zo subliem dat men de stad Ambositra pas kan verlaten nadat je hun product als souvenir hebt gekocht. Overnachting in het hotel. Inbegrepen: ontbijt en diner.

Antsirabe - Andasibe (7u45mn - 300km)
Voortzetting van de weg naar het oosten van Madagaskar terwijl u nog een laatste keer de prachtige landschappen van de Hooglanden bewondert met hun weelderige valleien, kleine dorpjes en rijstvelden. Overnachting in het hotel. Inbegrepen: ontbijt en diner.

Andasibe
Bezoek's ochtends het speciale reservaat Analamazaotra, waar u een enorme diversiteit aan fauna en flora kunt observeren, waaronder de Indri indri die verschillende kenmerken heeft: het is de grootste en de meest luidruchtige maki's. De indri is ook interessant vanwege het feit dat hij geen staart heeft en vooral monogaam is. In totaal leven er 12 soorten maki's in dit reservaat, waaronder de tawny maki. In de namiddag, ontdekking van enkele getemde maki's wijdverspreid over de schaarse eilandjes. Overnachting in het hotel. Inbegrepen: ontbijt en diner.
Dag 10
Andasibe - Tamatave (4u15 - 215km)
Vroeg vertrek naar Tamatave. In de namiddag bezoek aan de stad waarvan de haven de grootste in Madagaskar is. Overnachting in het hotel. Inbegrepen: ontbijt en diner.
Dag 11
Tamatave - Soanierana Ivongo - Sainte Marie (165km / 4h30mn + 1h30mn navigatie)
Transfer naar de haven van Soanieran'Ivongo en stap vervolgens aan boord van een boot om Sainte Marie (Nosy Boraha) te bereiken, een van de meest populaire bestemmingen in Madagaskar. Receptie en transfer naar het hotel. Breng een onvergetelijke vakantie door op een authentiek eiland op deze plek dat alle mogelijkheden biedt die een reiziger die op zoek is naar een totale verandering van omgeving: walvissafari (juli tot september), walvisfestival (juli), duikcentra, expeditie in primitieve bossen, prachtige stranden, watersporten, enz... Article 1 Code of Conduct
Travel is a product that can be detrimental especially to the environment. Thus, in order to promote
responsible tourism in Madagascar, Bio D Island customers pledge to :

Respect local culture
According to Article 4 of the Global Ethics Code of Tourism, “…Tourism policies and activities are
conducted in a way that respects the artistic, archaeological and cultural heritage, which they protect
and pass on to future generations …” and, as a result, we must respect the rites, the “Fady” or
taboos, the sacred places, …
Follow the instructions of the driver and park guide
Your driver and tour guides in the parks or reserves will give you instructions and advice during the
journey for your safety, but also to respect the rules in some places, so that you can make the most
of the visit.
Article 2 Travel insurance
Our package does not include travel insurance. We urge you to purchase one for your own sake.
Article 3 Payment
At the time of your booking, we ask you to pay 30% of the tour’s total cost as a deposit, and if you
want us to book your domestic flight, its total cost has to be paid and will be non-refundable in the
case of a cancellation.
The balance is due 30 days prior to the trip by bank transfer (transfer fees at your expense)
Article 4 Cancellation by the client
If you have to cancel your trip, the following cancellation fees will apply.
- for more than 90 days before the tour, 5% of the trip’s total price
- 90 to 61 days before the tour, 15% of the trip’s total price
- 60 to 31 days before the tour, 30% of the trip’s total price
- 30 to 22 days before the tour, 50% of the trip’s total price
- 21 to 15 days before the tour, 75% of the trip’s total price
- For less than 15 days before the tour, 100% of the trip’s total price
Article 5 Modification by the client
For any modification by the client, additional fees will apply
Article 6 Modification or cancellation by the Tour Operator
Bio D Island can decide to change the trip program in the event of force majeure (major harmful
political circumstance, natural disaster, strike, access road not passable, …) If such a case occurs, we
will suggest you other alternatives.
In the worst case scenario, i.e. we have to cancel the whole trip, we will refund you.
Article 7 Travel documents
Before your departure, you have to make sure you have all the required documents
Article 8 Responsibilities and commitments of Bio D Island
As the trip organizer, we are responsible for ensuring the respect of the trip’s program.
We will provide with all the necessary information the clients, so that they can properly prepare their
trip to Madagascar
If the traveller ever has any problem, we commit to help him as much as we can.
Nevertheless, Bio D Island is not responsible for any exceptional circumstances that may occur, due
to the fault of the client or a third party.
We are not liable for any consequence of a force majeure.
We shall have no liability for any cancellation/delay of your flights. In such a case, your complaint has
to be sent to the airline company.
However, we will assist the traveller no matter what the problem is.
Article 9 Litigation
In case of any dispute between both parties, they should try to reach a friendly settlement. If no
amicable solution is arrived at, the litigation is therefore to be resolved by Madagascar court.
Article 10 Validity of these terms and conditions
These terms will be effective immediately upon the signature of the contract by the parties.
