Your wide-ranging tour begins by heading west through the beautiful scenery of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. You'll make a stop at Luss, an attractive village located on the shores of Loch Lomond, the largest freshwater loch in Scotland by area. Here, you'll have time to explore the heritage village, perhaps take a stroll along the water, or simply admire the breathtaking views across the iconic loch. Continuing your journey, you’ll travel through the stunning landscapes of Argyll, with a stop at the famous Rest and Be Thankful Viewpoint, where you can take in spectacular views of the glen and the surrounding mountains. Afterward, the tour will take you to the village of Inveraray, located on the shores of Loch Fyne. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Inveraray Castle, the ancestral home of the Campbell Clan. The 18th-century castle offers beautiful gardens, an interesting museum, and fascinating insights into the Campbell family history.
Following your time in Inveraray, the tour will head to the Kilmartin Glen, a region steeped in Scotland’s ancient past, where over 5,000 years of history unfold before you. You’ll be able to walk in the footsteps of early Scots at Dunadd Hill Fort, once the seat of early Scottish kings, and admire the Temple Wood Stone Circle, a prehistoric site. From here, the journey will continue to the picturesque seaside town of Oban, known for its vibrant harbour and incredible seafood. This charming town will be your base for the first night of the tour, giving you the chance to sample some of Scotland's best seafood.
