Bij aankomst in Ulaanbaatar (UB) ontmoet de gids je op het vliegveld/treinstation en word je naar een hotel in het centrum van UB gebracht. Na een verfrissing en korte rustpauze begint het excursieprogramma met een rondleiding door de stad naar het Museum van Nationale Geschiedenis met tentoonstellingen over de Mongoolse geschiedenis en een prachtige collectie traditionele Mongoolse klederdrachten. Als de tijd het toelaat 's avonds een rondleiding door UB. Welkomstdiner in een restaurant in het centrum. Overnachting in 4-sterren hotel. (D)
Reisroute
Het bedreigde sneeuwluipaard Panthera uncia komt voor in ruige, hooggelegen gebieden in Centraal-Azië. De totale populatie in Mongolië bedroeg 500-1000 individuen volgens het onderzoek dat in 2000 werd uitgevoerd (McCarthy en Chapron, 2003). De populatiedichtheid is hoger in Mongol Altai en Gobi Altai.
Geschikte habitats van de soort zijn hooggebergte, rotsachtige, steile, rotsachtige hellingen, smalle doorgangen, ravijnen, passen en alpine gebieden in Mongol Altai en Gobi Altai.
Het dieet van de sneeuwluipaard varieert in zijn verspreidingsgebied en met de tijd van het jaar, en is afhankelijk van de beschikbaarheid van prooi. In het Gobi-gebergte jaagt hij vooral op siberische steenbokken en argali, de grootste schapen ter wereld en soms op huisdieren.
Het gebied dat we aanbieden bevindt zich in het nationale park van de provincie Zuid-Gobi, waar een overvloed aan wilde dieren is en dat dichtbij en gemakkelijk te observeren is.
BT&TC reisorganisatie werkt nauw samen met het bestuur van het nationale park en de rangers door cameravallen en andere faciliteiten te doneren om hen te helpen de wilde dieren in het gebied te behouden. Ook de samenwerking met en ondersteuning van lokale gemeenschapsleden in het gebied is het hoofddoel van het bedrijf.
Tijdens de reis zullen de rangers van het nationale park meegaan als lokale gids en hebben ze de taak om ervoor te zorgen dat ze de koning van de bergen - het sneeuwluipaard - ontmoeten.
Als cadeau en bijdrage aan de lokale bevolking koopt het bedrijf handgemaakte wollen slippers voor onze klanten.

Ulaanbaatar / Dalanzadgad/Gobi Gurvansaikhan NPark
Vroeg in de ochtend transfer naar het vliegveld en vlieg naar de stad Dalanzadgad (1,5 uur). De stad Dalanzadgad is het bloeiende centrum in het gobigebied. Na aankomst korte kennismaking met Dalanzadgad, bezoek markt voor aankoop van spullen voor eigen gebruik. Na de aankoop van je persoonlijke spullen rijd je naar het kamp waar je de Gobi Gurvan Saikhan berg doorkruist. Het kamp ligt aan de andere kant van de berg (120 km). s Middags arriveer je bij de kampeerplaats in het Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. Het Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park werd in 1993 opgericht en in 2000 uitgebreid tot zijn huidige omvang. Het park is met bijna 27.000 vierkante kilometer het grootste nationale park in Mongolië en strekt zich uit over 380 km van oost naar west en 80 km van noord naar zuid. Het park is vernoemd naar het Gurvan Saikhan gebergte, wat vertaald kan worden als de Drie Schoonheden. De naam is afgeleid van drie subketens, de East, Middle en West Beauty. De bergketen vormt de oostelijke helft van het park. Het park ligt aan de noordelijke rand van de Gobiwoestijn. De hoger gelegen gebieden bevatten steppegebieden en bereiken hoogtes tot 2.600 meter. In het park komen een aantal zeldzame planten en dieren voor, waaronder het schuwe sneeuwluipaard en de pallas kat of manuul kat. Er zijn gebieden met zandduinen, waarvan de Khongoryn Els - het Zingende Zand - de bekendste is. Een andere belangrijke toeristische bestemming is Yolyn Am, dat met Dalanzadgad verbonden is door een verharde weg en een bergvallei die het grootste deel van het jaar een groot ijsveld bevat. Het park is een toevluchtsoord voor een aantal bedreigde diersoorten zoals het argalischaap, het sneeuwluipaard, de manuul kat of Pallas kat en de Siberische steenbok. De gelijknamige bergen van het park worden bewoond door de prachtige lammergeier, of lammergier. Overnachting in een ger. (B,L,D)

Dag 3-8: Gobi Gurvansaikhan NPark
Zonsopgang en zonsondergang in de Gobi Gurvan saihan berg is een moment dat je nooit mag missen - de gouden tijd voor fotografen. Breng zeven dagen door met nomaden en rangers van het nationale park op zoek naar sneeuwluipaarden en pallaskatten. Daarnaast leven er in de bergen dieren die op de lijst van bedreigde diersoorten staan, zoals het argalischaap met zijn enorme gebogen hoorns, steenbokken, vossen en gieren, die allemaal binnen het bereik van je camera kunnen komen. De beste tijd om ze te zien is vroeg in de ochtend en laat in de avond. (B,L,D)

Dalanzadgad
Rijd terug naar de stad Dalanzadgad. Ontspan in het hotel en vrije tijd. (B,L,D)
Dag 10
Ulaanbaatar
Vroeg in de ochtend vlieg je terug naar Ulaanbaatar. Stadstour met bezoek aan Gandan klooster, Museum voor Schone Kunsten, Staatsdepartement en culturele voorstelling - gevolgd door afscheidsdiner. (B,L,D)

VERTREK
Einde van de tour: Pick-up van het hotel en transfer naar de aiport of het treinstation. Vertrek. Check-in begint 2 uur voor de vlucht.

Booking:
Bookings and enquiries must be in writing
Late Bookings:
Last-minute bookings (within 30 days prior to start of tour) are subject to availability. Bookings made 16-30 days prior to the start of the tour will be assessed at a $25 per person surcharge. Bookings made 30 or less days prior to the start of the tour will be assessed at a $50 per person surcharge.
Tour price:
All tour prices are in US dollars and are based on tariffs and rates of currency exchange in effect at the time of printing.
Payment:
The client shall pay 30% of the total amount to confirm the trip. And 100% for the tour at least 30 days prior to the starting date of the services. The payments shall be made in US dollars or in Euros. The Parties may choose other payment methods. But the agreement should be made in written form.
Cancellations by traveler:
Loss of monies paid applies to all cancelled reservations. The date of trip cancellations is the date on which the written cancellations are received by BTTC TRAVEL. The loss of monies paid is as follows per person:
- 45-more days prior to tour start- 10% of total package price.
- 31-45 days prior to tour start- 30% of total package price
- 30 days prior to tour start- 80% of total package price
- 15-arrival day- 100% of total package price
No refunds will be made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip has begun. Refunds will be at the discretion of BTTC TRAVEL if you are forced to involuntarily leave a trip for any reason. No refunds will be made for any accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals or services not utilized.
Cancellations by BTTC TRAVEL:
BTTC TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel any trip before it is guaranteed to run but will not cancel a tour less than 60 days prior to departure. BTTC TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel any trip, including a guaranteed trip, at any time prior to departure due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events which make it unviable for intrepid to operate our planned schedule. If BTTC TRAVEL cancels a group adventure trip which is guaranteed you may choose between an alternative trip or a full refund. The company is not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred because of your booking such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or loss of enjoyment, etc. If an alternative trip chosen is of lower value than the originally booked, then you are entitled to a refund of the price difference. If the alternative tour chosen is of a higher value, then you will pay a difference in price.
No Show:
In the event a client is a “no show”, no refund in full or in part will be given for services in the program not utilized.
Refunds:
After star of tour, no refund, in full or in part, will be given for services included in the program that are not utilized.
BTTC TRAVEL will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the client/s because of the foregoing causes over which it has no control, such as war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of government.
BTTC TRAVEL will not compensate for program changes caused by delayed air or train services, airline timetable changes or force majeure (acts of war, strikes, catastrophes, pandemic...)
Hotel accommodations:
Based on two adults sharing one twin-bedded room, double occupancy. A customer who travels alone is required to pay a single supplement rate. A single room is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost. When the hotel listed in the brochure is not available, the similar category hotel will be substituted without prior notice.
Baggage:
Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout. Excess baggage charge and insurance is the owner’s responsibility. When travelling outside of Ulaanbaatar, 1 carry-on luggage per person is allowed, the excess baggage will be stored in the hotel.
Shopping:
BTTC TRAVEL does not accept any responsibility for the value, validity, quality or authenticity of any goods purchased on the tour or for any mailing, freight or shipping arrangements. Any after-sales correspondence must be between the customer and the shops.
Local Laws:
All participants in tours operated by BTTC TRAVEL are expected to obey the laws and regulations of Mongolia and any failure to do so will relieve BTTC TRAVEL of all obligations that it may otherwise have under the contract.
Complaints:
If a client has a complaint about any of the tour arrangements, the client must bring it to the attention of the tour leader or other representative at the time so they may use their reasonable endeavors to rectify the situation. Failure to complain at the time will affect the Client’s ability to claim compensation from BTTC TRAVEL. Should the problem remain unsolved a complaint must be made in writing to BTTC TRAVEL within 28 days of the completion of the tour. BTTC TRAVEL will not pay any compensation if there has been no fault on the part of the company or its partners and the reason for the failure in the tour was the client’s fault, or due to the actions of someone unconnected with the tour arrangements, or if the circumstances could not have been reasonable foreseen or avoided by the company or its partners.
