Deze reisroute van bijna twee weken laat bezoekers kennismaken met de diverse culturele, historische en natuurlijke wonderen van Indonesië. In 13 dagen verkennen we de hoofdstad Jakarta, die traditionele en moderne bezienswaardigheden biedt. Later zien we de spectaculaire paleizen en tempels van Yogyakarta en bezoeken we de tropische eilanden Bali en Gili Trawangan. After having breakfast at the hotel, set off on a tour to explore Jakarta’s rich history, cultural heritage, and modern attractions. Begin your day at the National Monument that symbolises Indonesia’s quest for independence from its Dutch colonisers. At the top of the 132-metre structure is a golden flame which honours the resilient spirit of the Indonesian people.
Our next stop is the Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. It is situated right next to The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, a historic century-old cathedral, symbolising the country’s philosophy of unity in diversity. Afterwards, visit Jakarta Old Town, to see restored colonial buildings from 17th and 18th centuries, including the Jakarta Historical Museum, which were once part of Batavia, the capital of Dutch East Indies.

After an early breakfast and hotel check out, arrive at Gambir railway station and take a train to
Yogyakarta. Lunch will be served on board. After arriving in Yogyakarta, avail a comfortable air-conditioned transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure or join one of our tours at an additional cost

Once you have had breakfast at your hotel, visit Keraton Yogyakarta (Sultan Palace), a magnificent complex of royal palaces and gardens that has been the seat of power and culture for centuries. Located in the heart of Yogyakarta, this ancient city is steeped in history and tradition. Our next stop is the Tamansari Water Castle, a royal bathhouse for the King. This expansive garden also served as the royal family’s place of defence and hiding from foreign invaders in the 18th century. Afterwards, you will visit (what used to be) one of the seven wonders, Borobudur Temple. This ancient temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the world and a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of the ancient Javanese civilisation. Your expert local guide will explain more about the history and architecture of this incredible monument, which also happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Have breakfast at your hotel and spend the morning at leisure until check out time after which we transfer you to Yogyakarta International Airport for your flight to Bali. On reaching the island, private transfer from Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport to your booked accommodation by air-conditioned vehicle. Located 60 kilometres north of the airport, the transfer will take approximately two hours to reach your hotel in Manggis.

After breakfast, travel to Padang Bai Port and take a ferry to Gili Trawangan. Since motorised vehicles are banned on this island, upon arrival, you will be provided bikes to travel to your accommodation on the western part of the island that offers a breathtaking view of the sunset.
