Kom kijken naar de opmerkelijk ongetemde wildernis en de verbazingwekkende verscheidenheid aan wilde dieren die vrij rondlopen in het Kruger National Park, een enorm wildreservaat zonder omheining. Je kunt ook de Panoramaroute verkennen en de schoonheid van de Blyde River Canyon bewonderen.

Reisprogramma

Dag 1

AANKOMST JOHANNESBURG - HAZYVIEW (405 km - 4,5 uur)

After landing at O. R. Tambo International Airport, you will be met by a tour representative who will guide you to the transfer to Kruger National Park. Make sure your flight lands before 6:00 am in the morning to catch the transfer. Arrive at the hotel where you will have time to relax, unpack and enjoy a light lunch. Enjoy a swim or walk around the beautiful Lodge and walking trail. We will depart before 16.00 pm for a Sunset/Night safari in the Kruger National Park. The sun sets early in the winter months which means longer Night safari, and in summer enjoy beautiful sunsets while on safari, before returning to the lodge around 20.00 pm for a lovely dinner, and a good night’s rest. Overnight in Hazyview.

Dag 2

KRÜGER NATIONAAL PARK

A spellbinding experience awaits you this morning. Head out to explore Kruger National Park, often thought of as the world’s largest wildlife zoo. Wake up early in the morning and jump into a safari jeep with a specialised wildlife ranger-guide and drive over to Kruger Park for your very first safari experience. Enjoy a thrilling game drive and, like completing a wildlife bingo, try to spot all of Africa's highly sought-after Big Five: elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo. You will make two stops during the day, one for breakfast (included) and another for lunch (not included), at different rest camps throughout the safari. That way you will be able to take advantage of your time in the game reserve to the fullest and make sure you don’t miss any animal you were longing to see in its natural habitat. You will be driven back to the lodge in the late afternoon, at around 16:00 pm. The rest of the day is free for you to spend at leisure until dinner is served. Overnight in Hazyview.

Dag 3

KRÜGER NATIONAAL PARK

Today we will visit the Blyde River Canyon the 3rd largest canyon in the world. The canyon is over 40km long and 1200m deep. At a certain lookout point on the canyon, you will get to see the 3 Rondavels. The Rondavels get their name from their similar appearance to the Rondavel houses, a traditional Hut commonly built in Africa. These 3 outcrops stand prominently from the landscape. We then make a stop at God's window which allows people a window from the escarpment 1000 m below, one can see as far as Kruger and beyond on a clear day. Your comfortable walking shoes will be needed as the various lookout points have paths and trails to the view sights. Getting to the top takes an average person around 15-20 minutes, but it is worth the walk through a natural rainforest environment. We will arrive at the lodge at around 18-00 pm. Overnight in Hazyview.

Dag 4

HAZYVIEW - VERTREK JOHANNESBURG

Vroeg vertrek uit de lodge voor zonsopgang voor de laatste gamedrive. Je gids zal zich richten op dieren die we op de eerste 2 safari's niet konden vinden en hoopt op een leeuw en luipaard, want die zijn het meest actief in de vroege ochtend. Geen enkele safari is ooit hetzelfde en Kruger heeft een enorm netwerk van wegen om uit te kiezen, gidsen gaan op safari in verschillende gebieden van het park in verschillende seizoenen, voor de kans om meer waarnemingen te zien. Na een korte ontbijt- en koffiestop gaan we verder met de safari en keren rond 11.00 uur terug naar de lodge, waar je afscheid neemt van je gids en je opfrist voor de terugreis naar Johannesburg. Je wordt rond 11:30 uur opgehaald door de shuttle en we keren terug naar de OR Tambo shuttle terminal van Johannesburg, waar we tussen 17:00 - 18:00 uur aankomen.
