Behaviour recommendations

We expect you to be tolerant, punctual, respectful traveller; to support environment, local cultures, multicultural travel group, and different opinions. We ask you to follow directions given by tour guide and deliberate about the matter.

Cancellation

Cancellation conditions: 

For cancellations more than 36 days prior to arrival – full refund.

For cancellations 35-15 days prior to arrival – 50% of the total cost of the reservation.

For cancellations 14-8 days prior to arrival – 75% of the total cost of the reservation.

For cancellations 7-1 days prior to arrival and ‘no-show’ – 100% of the basic tour price.

Passport expiration

When traveling to Europe make sure you have a valid passport with you. Your passport validation must last at least for six months before you travel abroad.

To enter into Schengen area (that consists out of 26 EU member countries) for travel up to three months, business trip or transit to a non-Schengen destination, your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond your intended date of departure. Check here for more detailed information.

Make sure you have at least one blank page for entry stamp, however, some countries require to have two blank pages. For a country specific information check here

Although similar requirements are valid for most of the area countries, they may vary from country to country. It is advised to consult embassy of consulate of the destination country for further details.

Payment conditions

    20% deposit is paid once reservation is confirmed, 80% – 45 days before tour start date. You enter your payment details when submitting a reservation request.

    We support alternative payment methods – VISA, MasterCard. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express credit card. In some cases we accept cash and bank wire.

Service standards

PLEASE BE INFORMED: If arrival transfer is booked, driver will meet guests with a name-board inside arrival hall of the airport of arrival! In case of late arrival, tour leader will leave info material at hotel reception and we kindly ask guests to ask for it when checking in! In case guests fail to receive it, every day sightseeing program starts at 09.00 and we ask guests to be at hotel lobby latest 15 minutes before the start!Departure transfers in Krakow, Warsaw, Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn and Helsinki are performed 2 hours before flight, in St. Petersburg 3 hours before flight and in Moscow 4 hours before flight. This timing has been estimated based on our knowledge and experience working in these destinations, considering traffic in each particular city, driving time and required time at the airport check-in counters.

Hotels

    All Baltictours.com offered hotels are 3***, 4****, 5***** star and located centrally. Baltictours.com reserves the right to change hotels. It happens really rarely and due to important reasons. Alternative hotels are selected by the same standard as the hotels featured in the catalogue, both in terms of standard and location. Final hotel list is advised latest 1 month prior to the guest arrival.

Meals

    Breakfasts – buffet style at all Baltictours.com selected hotels.

Coaches

    Baltictours.com coaches are good quality 49-seater 1st class coaches with air conditioning, adjustable seats, toilet, fridge and possible other conveniences. Depending on sales some tours or segment of tours and optional tours will be operated with other good quality, comfortable 1st class minivans with adjustable seats and air conditioning. For comfort and security we always keep at least 3 empty seats in coaches and minivans. Passengers are covered by the 3rd party liability insurance. Our drivers strictly follow EU driving regulations. Baltictours.com do not allow smoking in the vehicles. Travelers can select their preferred seats freely.

Tour escorts

    Baltictours.com tour escorts are university graduates. They have been specially trained as guides and as bilingual tour escorts. The tour escorts we work with are experienced and most of them have been working for us for years. Local guides if needed or required will assist the tour escorts.

Portage

    Portage of one piece of luggage is included at all 4**** and 5***** star hotels and railway stations.

Welcome info package

    On arrival to the hotel the guests receive a personalized welcome info package announcing the time and place for the welcome meeting.

Welcome meeting

    During the welcome meeting guests are served a welcome drink. Baltictours.com tour escort will introduce the program and the optional tours. Each guest receives various materials such as a personalized program and information brochures.

Visa support

    Visa is required for almost all nationalities for tours including Russia and only for some fewer nationalities for tours covering Schengen area destinations. If visa support is required we supply that complementary. We cannot accept any responsibility for guests arriving without valid passport and visa. For guests travelling on tours which include entering to Russia visa is required for most passport holders. Number of participants

    We allow max 45 guests on the same tour. The average number of guests is around 30-35. For the Baltic Biking and Baltic Hiking tours we allow max 21 and 31 guests respectively on the same tour.

Travel visa

Baltic Tours provides with travel visa support documents free of charge once you book tour with us. For preparing travel visa support documents we require passport copy with photo page. Your passport should be valid at least 6 months before tour end date. After your booking is confirmed Baltic Tours assistant will ask you to e-mail passport copy to [email protected], subject – your name and last name. Please note that visa support documents aren’t visa itself. Travel visas are issued at your local Embassy / Consulate and fees are applied according local price list. Likewise, before you travel, make sure you have at least one blank page for country entry stamp, however, some countries require to have two blank pages. Cancellation conditions: The Seller reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fees: for cancellations from 28-21 days prior to arrival – 30% of the basic tour price, for cancellations 20-7 days prior to arrival – 60% of the basic tour price, 6-1 days prior to arrival 70% of the basic tour price and for “no show” – 75% of the basic tour price. No cancellation fees apply on tours cancelled 29 days or longer prior to arrival.
