Fly to Cochin (approx. 2.5 hours) via a domestic flight. Check into your hotel and freshen up. Later explore the city's historic Fort Kochi area, including the Chinese Fishing Nets and St. Francis Church. Enjoy a seafood dinner at a local restaurant.

After breakfast at the hotel, spend the day in the first European township in India-Fort Cochin. 

A walk through the streets of Fort Kochi will transport you to the different time periods of Arabs, Chinese, and Europeans who all occupied this.

Visit Chinese Fishing Nets. These fishing nets are the most scenic and are photographed during sunrise and sunset.

Also, visit Mattancherry Palace or Dutch Palace and St. Francis Church. Also known as the Church of Vasco-Da-Gama as Great Portuguese explorer Vasco-da-Gama was originally buried here before his remains were taken to Lisbon. 

Later visit the Jewish Synagogue which is an active synagogue of the Jewish community in India.

In the evening enjoy a Kathakali dance performance. Witness the process of make-up before the dance performance where-in the artist with face painted in different colors brought stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata to spectators.Overnight at hotel. ­

Na het ontbijt rijd je naar Thekkady. In Cardamom Hills ligt het Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, een reservaat op de grens tussen Kerala en Tamil Nadu, omringd door thee- en specerijenplantages. Weelderig bos, met een uitgestrekt meer in het hart, is het thuis van veel inheemse dieren.

Bezoek 's avonds de Kalari show - De Shaolin monniken hebben hun gedisciplineerde vertoningen van Kung Fu wereldberoemd gemaakt, maar weinigen weten dat hun kunst werd geleerd van Bodhi Dharma, een Indiase monnik die een Kalaripayattu meester was.

Morning proceed Boat safari for the chance to cruise the lake at the heart of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. From the tranquility of the lake, enjoy the lush scenery all around you and keep a lookout for animals that may come down to the water’s edge – maybe a family of elephants, a scurrying Wild Boar, or the magnificent Sambar Deer.

Late afternoon visit spice plantations, the Cardamom Hills are the ideal location to explore a garden where spices and other aromatic plants are grown. Overnight in Thekkady

Optional visit- Visit an elephant farm and know about the training and habits of elephants. Take an elephant ride through the villages and finally give a shower to an elephant.  Overnight at Hotel.

Na het ontbijt vertrek je uit het hotel en rijd je door het prachtige landschap naar het paradijs van de backwaters, Alleppey, om aan boord te gaan van een woonboot met airconditioning die een moderne transformatie is van de traditionele Kettuvalloms (rijstboten).

Terwijl de kok aan boord traditioneel Kerala eten kookt, vaar je door verschillende kanalen en observeer je het leven in kleine dorpjes aan de oevers van de kanalen.

Ervaar het dagelijks leven van de lokale bevolking vanaf het dek van een woonboot. Je passeert vrouwen die hun kleren wassen in de rivier en boeren die hun buffels baden; je ziet vissers en groenteverkopers per boot van huis naar huis gaan om hun waren te verkopen; je passeert dorpelingen die tot hun nek in het water staan en roddelen met hun buurman. Genieten van een beroemd binnenwater vanuit een woonboot met airconditioning is een levenslange ervaring
