Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, which dates from the time of Chephren; the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the pyramids of chefren This temple served definitely two functions: First, it was used for the purification of the mummy of the king before its burial. Second, it was used for making the Mummification process of the king. After visiting the pyramids, you'll then continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background.

The museum spans an area of 490,000 square meters and includes a number of exhibition halls, each of which is considered larger than many existing museums in Egypt and the world. The museum is one of the most important and greatest achievements of modern Egypt. It was established to be an integrated global cultural, civilization, and entertainment landmark, and to be the primary destination for everyone interested in ancient Egyptian heritage. GEM is the largest museum in the world to tell the story of ancient Egyptian civilization, housing a large number of unique and distinguished artifacts, including the treasures of the Golden King Tutankhamun, which are displayed in full for the first time since the discovery of his tomb in November 1922. This is in addition to the collection of Queen Hetepheres, mother of King Khufu, the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza, as well as the King Khufu Solar Boat Museum, and various archaeological holdings from the Pre-Dynastic Period up to the Greco-Roman eras.

Deze obelisk wordt verondersteld toe te behoren aan koningin Hatsjepsoet, een van de heersers van de 18e dynastie en de koninklijke vrouw van koning Toetmosis II. De onvoltooide obelisk is de grootste bekende obelisk uit de oudheid en bevindt zich in de noordelijke regio van de steengroeven van het oude Egypte in Aswan, Egypte. Het is onbekend welke farao dit bouwwerk heeft gemaakt. De obelisk is bijna een derde groter dan alle andere Egyptische obeliskbeelden die ooit zijn opgericht. Als hij voltooid was, zou hij ongeveer 42 meter lang zijn geweest en bijna 1.200 ton hebben gewogen.

Ga dan naar de prachtig gelegen Philae tempel Zeil per felucca (Egyptische zeilboot) naar het eiland Agilkia, bezoek de tempel die werd verwijderd van hun oorspronkelijke eiland Philae dat het grootste deel van het jaar onder water ligt door het water van het Nassermeer. De hoofdtempel van Isis en zijn monumenten werden gebouwd tussen de 26e-dynastie en de Romeinse periode.

Je blijft verkennen en vervolgens overstappen naar de Westelijke Jordaanoever in Luxor, bezoek de Mortuariumtempel van koningin Hatshepsut in El Deir El Bahary Koningin Hatshepsut was de eerste grote vrouw in de geregistreerde geschiedenis: de voorloper van figuren als Cleopatra, Catharina de Grote en Elizabeth I.De Mortuariumtempel van Hatshepsut is het middelpunt van het Deir el-Bahri-complex van mortuariumtempels en graven op de westelijke oever van de Nijl, tegenover de stad Luxor. Hatshepsut was vrouwelijke faroah. Haar tempel, deze tempel werd gebouwd op drie oppervlakken in de vorm van balkons, voornamelijk gewijd aan de aanbidding van de god Amun, en om begrafenisrituelen uit te voeren voor de koningin die bekend staat als El Deir El Bahary

Ga verder naar de twee kolossale beelden van Amenhotep III, Kolossi van Memnon zijn de twee massieve stenen beelden van farao Amenhotep III. Al 3.400 jaar zitten ze in de Thebaanse necropolis, aan de overkant van de rivier de Nijl vanuit de stad Luxor. De oorspronkelijke functie van de Kolossi was om de wacht te houden bij de ingang van de herdenkingstempel of mortuariumtempel van Amenhotep.

The site is about 40 km from Cairo, the city. Then proceed to have your lunch at local restaurant. you will be transferred back to your hotel.
