Today our staff will meet and greet you at San José International Airport. After you have picked up your luggage and cleared customs you will be transferred to your hotel. The drive takes approximately 30-45 minutes.

We will begin our journey by driving north along the Pan-American Highway, passing through rolling hills covered with sugar cane fields and coffee plantations. Along the way, we will stop in the famous town of Sarchí, internationally recognized as the birthplace of Costa Rica’s artisans and renowned for its colorful handcrafted oxcarts and traditional crafts. As we continue our journey, we will travel through a landscape of agricultural plantations, ornamental plant nurseries, and cattle ranches before arriving in La Fortuna, where we will enjoy lunch at a cozy local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will take a gentle hike of approximately 1½ hours along the base of the majestic Arenal Volcano, offering spectacular views of one of Costa Rica’s most iconic natural wonders.
After an exciting day of exploration, there is no better way to unwind than by relaxing at Titokú Hot Springs. Enjoy the soothing thermal pools surrounded by nature before ending the day with a delicious dinner.

Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is located in the northern region of Costa Rica. This protected area is considered one of the richest in biological diversity in our country and is characterized by its extensive wetlands, marshes, and lagoons, which provide a vital habitat for numerous migratory birds and aquatic creatures. It takes approximately 2hours to reach Los Chiles, a culturally diverse village located just 4km from the Nicaraguan border. Explore the refuge's intricate network of waterways and mangroves on a 2.5 hour guided boat tour through the tropical rainforest and pastures, where you will have the chance to observe incredible wildlife up close. The refuge is home to numerous bird species, including herons, egrets, kingfishers, and the magnificent Roseate Spoonbill. One of the most popular birds in the area is the Olivaceous Cormorant, which nests within the refuge. Delight in the sight of caimans basking in the sun, monkeys swinging from tree to tree, and colorful birds soaring overhead.
