De Annapurna Circuit trektocht is een klassieke trektocht in de Himalaya van Nepal. De Annapurna Circuit trektocht combineert alle elementen die het tot een klassieke trektocht maken en is episch omdat je getuige kunt zijn van adembenemende landschappen in het hooggebergte, prachtige boerderijen en dorpen in het laagland, culturele diversiteit en bovendien een stimulerende pasoversteek voor alle avonturiers. De Annapurna Circuit trektocht is een uitzonderlijk avontuur voor ambitieuze reizigers.
De trektocht begint na een dag sightseeing in de kleurrijke, levendige straten van Kathmandu. Trekkers maken een mooie rit naar de Marsyangdi Vallei waar de route formeel begint met een reis naar de noordkant van het Annapurna Massief. Tijdens de hele trektocht hebben reizigers de gelegenheid om getuige te zijn van de prachtige panorama's van reuzen als Manaslu en de Annapurnas.
Trekkers bereiken het hoogtepunt van de tocht na een veeleisende klim naar de Thorung La (5416m) aan de noordkant van de Annapurnas. De beloning van de klim is een opmerkelijk uitzicht op de besneeuwde toppen van de Himalaya.
Nadat je de pas bent gepasseerd, daal je af in de diepe vallei van de Kali Gadaki. Aan de voet van de pas is de vallei de thuisbasis van een griezelige verzameling tempels in Muktinath.
Trekkers nemen vervolgens een mooie vlucht van Jomsom naar Pokhara, waar ze zich kunnen vermaken in de rustgevende sfeer van Lakeside, terwijl ze getuige zijn van een prachtig uitzicht op de Annapurnas weerspiegeld in het water van Phewa Tal.

Rit naar Besisahar (830 m) / 7 uur
It is a long way through Nepal on roads both tarred and earth-surfaced, but you won’t be disappointed. You will discover the beautiful countryside of Nepal. Lush greeneries, villages, farms, rivers, lifestyle of local people in the streets and the panoramic view on the Himalaya range.
Rit naar Jagat (1.330 m) Trek naar Chamje (1.400 m) / 5 uur
We will reach Jagat with a local jeep through river, greeneries, local villages and beautiful mountain scenery. A steep and slippery trail runs up and down through paddy fields, passing through tiny Tibetan villages, the trail ascends through the rhododendron forest to Jagat (1330 m). From here, we will start our trek in the beautiful Annapurna range and be immerge by the Himalayan culture.
Trek naar Bagarchhap (2.160 m) / 5 uur
Our day begins with the rocky trail following the Marsyandi Rivers steadily uphill to Tal (the first village in the Manang district). The journey continues up and down through other village before to reach our first overnight stop. Bagarchhap is a typical Tibetan village with a chorten at the entrance and surrounded by apple Orchards and maize fields.
Trek naar Chame (2.630 m) / 5 uur
Along the way, we will see waterfalls of melted snow, cross icy rivers, and broad plains. Once upon arrival you will be reward by the beautiful view on the Annapurna and you could enjoy a relaxing bath in natural hot springs.
Trek naar Pisang (3.300 m) / 5 uur
There’s a long, peasant and mostly level walk in forests. The pine-scented trail rounds a bend to reveal the first views of dramatic PaungdaDanda rock face, a tremendous curve slab of rock. The trail follows through the river valley with good views along the way of Pisang peak and Annapurna II at Pisang.Pisang marks the beginning of the region upper portion of the Manang district.
Trek naar Manang (3.540 m) / 6 - 7 uur
From upper Pisang the high trail enters pine grooves to reveal views of the small turquoise lake. The trail does a dogleg through the charming village, passing with views of painted Mandalas and dragon mouth spouts. Hike through the fields of grazing yak and wide variety of crops. This large Tibetan settlement provides good views of Annapurna II/III/IV, Gangapurna and Tarkekang.
Acclimatisatiedag in Manang (3.540 m)
This day you spend a second night in the Manang region to acclimatize to the higher elevations you will encounter towards the Thoroung La. Take advice from Himalayan Rescue Association and observe the spectacular views of the Himalaya nearby. There are fine views of the milky blue glacier lake at the foot of spectacular Gangapurna icefall and traditional stone buildings.
Trek naar Yak Kharka (4.000 m) / 5 uur
From Manang village, the trail crosses a stream, climbs to a village of Tenkiand continues to climb out of the Marshyangdi Valley turning northwest up the valley of JarsangKhola. On the way we will pass few pastures, a scrub of juniper trees and through villages and meadows where horses and yaks graze. After crossing a small river on a wooden bridge, we will see an ancient old Mani wall before to reach Yak Kharka.
Trek naar Thorung Phedi (4.400 m) / 2 uur
The trail climbs along the east bank of the JarsangKhola, then descends and crosses the stream on a wooden bridge at 4310m. Blue sheep, and even snow capped leopards, sometimes magically appears. The crow like bird choughs, large lamer geiers and Himalayan griffons circles you overhead.
Trek naar Muktinath via de Thorung La Pas (5416 m) / 6 - 8 uur
The trail becomes steep immediately after leaving ThorungPhedi, switch backing up moraines and following rocky ridges as it ascends to the Thorung La pass (5416m). You can see the long Great Barrier ridge, Tibet like region of Manang, as well as the Annapurnas, Gangapurna and the heavily glaciated peak of Khatung Kang (6484m). The trail descends crossing meadows steeply down to Muktinath. One of the most important pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Trek naar Jomson (2.670 m) / 6 uur
Today, it will be our last trekking day.
Vlieg naar Pokhara / 30 minuten
Morning fly to Pokhara from Jomsom, it takes just 35 minutes. Free time in the afternoon.
Rit naar Kathmandu (6 - 7 uur)
As on the first way you could enjoy the beauty of the countryside, green hills and thundering rivers. The bus will drop you to your hotel. It will be a free time if you want to visit the surrounding area.

PASSPORT & VISAS
All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date to travel Nepal, Tibet & Bhutan. Nepalese visas can be obtained from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visas costs are the sole responsibility of clients.
As you are unable to obtain visas to Bhutan & Tibet you need to send your passport details to Asian Journey for visa applications at least 30 days prior to the departure date.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is compulsory for all Clients undertaking any tour. It should provide adequate protection for the full duration of the tour to cover personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, helicopter rescue, air ambulance and adequate cover for baggage.
FLIGHT DELAY OR CANCELLATION
There is the possibility of a flight delay or postpone due to bad weather in the Himalayan regions which could be happened in particular airports, Lukla Airport in Everest region Jomsom airport in Mustang, Juphal Airport in Dolpa, Simikot and Jumla region airports.In this case, you’re highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare for some delays and avoid frustrating consequence. In case of flight cancellation pre-tour/post-tour, you need to meet your accommodation and food costs yourself.
RIGHTS TO AMEND THE ITINERARY IF REQUIRED
Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalized. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.
HEALTH & FITNESS
All our tours and treks require a level of fitness, there for you should always check with your local GP regarding your health and fitness before you travel. It’s the client’s responsibility to notify Asian Journey of any pre-existing medical condition and/or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of you required medical attention, that may affect your ability to travel.
INJURIES AND EVACUATION
Asian Journeys would not be liable for any injury/health conditions/emotional or other conditions suffered by the client during the trip. Similarly, our package cost does not include any personal insurance. Hence, we advise the clients to take adequate insurance packages, including medical emergencies and evacuation by Helicopter.
RISK & LIABILITIES
We are committed to providing the best services which will give you a “once in a lifetime” journey. So, we perform our duties honestly and seriously to achieve our commitment. However, the entire program is conducted strictly under the rules and regulation of their own policies.
Therefore, Asian Journey and its related organization shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstances such as government restriction, notorious weather, road blockage, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, sickness or accident, any natural disaster (earthquake, landslide, flood, snowfall, avalanche, etc) or other things beyond our control. But we will try our best to take you to safety from any kind of danger. Any extra cost incurring thereof shall be borne by the clients on the spot.
INCOMPLETE OR EARLY COMPLETE TRIP
No refund will be made to clients who drop out from the journey regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary and who finished the trip earlier days than mentioned in the itinerary.
COMPLAINTS
Should you have a complaint about the trip or tour you must make it known to a tour leader or guide at the earliest opportunity who will take the appropriate action.
