Reisroute

Op dag 1 van je avontuur verwelkomt de ochtendzon je aan boord van de BC Ferry in Tsawwassen, waar je wordt getrakteerd op een adembenemend uitzicht over de Georgia Strait. Na een ontspannen boottocht kom je aan in Swartz Bay en stap je in de betoverende wereld van Butchart Gardens, bekend om zijn duizelingwekkende reeks lichtjes en levendige bloemenstruiken. De reis gaat verder naar Victoria, waar je een glimp kunt opvangen van de geschiedenis en cultuur van British Columbia bij het Legislative Building, Thunderbird Park, Beacon Hill Park en Mile "0." Naarmate de dag vordert, lonkt het historische Fairmont Empress Hotel voor een uitgebreide afternoon tea voordat je terugkeert naar je accommodatie in Vancouver, waarmee een gedenkwaardige dag ten einde komt.


Op dag 2 trek je noordwaarts naar Whistler via de iconische Sea to Sky Highway, een ontzagwekkende route die je laat kennismaken met de majestueuze Shannon Falls en het charmante Squamish Town. In Whistler, het hart van de Olympische Winterspelen van 2010, heb je een overvloed aan activiteiten om uit te kiezen. Vancouver - Victoria

STOP 1: Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal  

The terminal has several amenities for travellers, including a food court, gift shop, and a children's play area. There is also a large parking lot available for vehicles and bike racks for cyclists. BC Ferries operates several routes from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, including service to Victoria, Nanaimo, and the Southern Gulf Islands. The terminal is open year-round, with the schedule varying depending on the season and demand.


STOP 2: The Butchart Gardens 

The Butchart Gardens is a group of floral display gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, Canada, located near Victoria on Vancouver Island. Come enjoy the breathtaking 22 ha (55 acres) of gardens year-round. In Spring, countless tulips, daffodils and hyacinths will give you a buffet of colours. 


STOP 3: Craigdarroch Castle 

Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, is a historic, Victorian-era Scottish Baronial mansion. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada due to its landmark status in Victoria. 


STOP 4: Inner Harbour 

This scenic patch of waterfront is the location of Victoria's many tourist attractions, recreational activities, restaurants and shopping. For a special treat, have afternoon tea at the Grand Empress Hotel or board a ferry for a harbour tour. 


STOP 5: Legislative Assembly of British Columbia 

The Legislative Assembly of British Columbia is the deliberative assembly of the Parliament of British Columbia, in the province of British Columbia, Canada. The Legislative Assembly meets in Victoria. Members are elected from provincial ridings and are referred to as Members of the Legislative Assembly.


STOP 6: Victoria Cenotaph (Pass By) 

The Victoria Cenotaph is a solemn and iconic monument located in the heart of Victoria, British Columbia. Standing tall and majestic, it serves as a poignant tribute to the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty during various conflicts. 


STOP 7: Empress Hotel 

National Historic Site of Canada Overlooking Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbor, this historic hotel features extensive spa treatments and a selection of on-site restaurants. 


STOP 8: Fisherman's Wharf 

Fisherman's Wharf is a vibrant and picturesque waterfront destination nestled in Victoria, British Columbia. Situated along the Inner Harbour, this charming and bustling wharf offers a unique blend of maritime heritage, a lively atmosphere, and a delightful array of attractions. 


STOP 9: "The Homecoming" Statue (Pass By) 

"The Homecoming" is a renowned statue located at Fisherman's Wharf in Victoria, British Columbia. This captivating sculpture captures the essence of a heartwarming and tender moment. It portrays a fisherman joyfully reuniting with his loved ones after a long and arduous journey at sea. 


STOP 10: Victoria’s Chinatown National Historic Site (Pass By) 

Victoria's Chinatown is a vibrant and historically significant district located in the heart of downtown Victoria, British Columbia. Established in 1858, it is one of the oldest Chinatowns in North America and holds a rich cultural heritage. Walking through the streets of Victoria's Chinatown, visitors are immediately greeted by a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Colourful storefronts adorned with traditional Chinese architecture line the streets, creating a captivating visual experience. Intricate red and gold decorations, ornate pagoda-style rooftops, and hanging lanterns add to the charm and authenticity of the area.


STOP 11: Swartz Bay 

The main B.C. The ferry terminal for Victoria and southern Vancouver Island, Swartz Bay is the province’s second largest and busiest ferry terminal after Tsawwassen. BC Ferries provides vehicle and passenger ferry service between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, as well as the Gulf Islands, the Discovery Coast Passage, and the Queen Charlotte Islands. BC Ferries serves 47 ports of call on 25 routes throughout British Columbia, carrying over 22 million passengers and 8 million vehicles annually.

Vancouver - Whistler

STOP 1: Sea to Sky Highway 

The Sea to Sky Highway is a gorgeous drive along the side of Howe Sound, an ocean fjord, and then up into the snowy mountains to the Whistler ski village. Along the way, you’ll pass through the town of Squamish, one of the best small towns in Canada for outdoor adventures and home to world-class hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. 


STOP 2: Porteau Cove Provincial Park 

Situated on the most southerly fjord in North America, Porteau Cove Provincial Park features waterfront campsites with a view over Howe Sound to the mountains beyond. An old ship has been sunk to provide interest for scuba divers and to attract marine life. There are special facilities for divers. Adjacent train tracks are active and occasional noise disturbance may occur. 


STOP 3: Britannia Beach 

In 1888, Dr. A.A. Forbes discovered copper in this small community located approximately 10 minutes south of Squamish. Known for its once-booming mine, the former mining town of Britannia Beach is now a charming village rich with art and history.  


STOP 4: Shannon Falls Provincial Park 

Now will take you to see and feel nature’s power at Shannon Falls. Just a short trip down the Sea to Sky Highway, Shannon Falls is the 3rd highest waterfall in BC. Enjoy a short walk for some great photos of nature’s erosive art and feel the mist of the falls against your skin. 


STOP 5: Brandywine Falls Provincial Park 

Brandywine Falls (the spectacular 70-metre waterfall) is best seen from the viewpoint which also presents some marvellous views of Daisy Lake and the surrounding mountains. This park provides opportunities for hiking, picnicking, mountain biking and viewing of the waterfall. The park was tripled in size in 2010 to include a unique habitat for red-legged frogs (a provincial “blue listed” species at risk). Several existing recreation trails were included in the expanded park as well. 


STOP 6: Whistler Village Square 

From the moment you arrive in Whistler Village, nestled at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, it's apparent that this is a resort village unlike any other you've ever experienced. 


STOP 7: Whistler Olympic Plaza 

A legacy of the 2010 Winter Games, Whistler Olympic Plaza is a state-of-the-art outdoor performance facility and community space with a park and playground set against one of Whistler's most dramatic backdrops. 


Whistler Activities are available in Whistler for day trip guests (Please be aware that activities are seasonal and may not be available). Before you arrive in Whistler Village, your guide will inform you of the various optional activities available that fit into your tour’s schedule. Join an ATV or snowmobile guided tour, or choose a scenic seaplane flight over ancient volcanoes to see the glaciers up close. Or, sit and relax in heated pools at the local spa. Just let your guide know what you would like to do, and leave the planning to us. 


STOP 8: Vancouver

In the later part of the day, you'll begin your journey back to Vancouver, marking the end of your adventures for the day. This will give you time to relax and reflect on the day's experiences as you return to the city.

VACATION DEPOSIT

A $350 non-refundable, non-transferable, per-person, per-vacation deposit is required to reserve space for you, with some limited exceptions, as noted below. Air arrangements may require an additional deposit as noted in the air-inclusive vacations sections below.

BOOKING CANCELLATIONS & CANCELLATION FEES

If a booking cancellation is received by GlobalDuniya prior to the final payment date of your vacation, your non-refundable vacation deposit will be retained.

For individual reservations, the following per-person cancellation fees apply for cancellations within final payment date. Total price does not include discounts, promotions, or special incentives.

STANDARD CANCELLATION FEES

The following cancellations are applicable to all vacations unless otherwise noted.

• 55-32 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price*

• 31-18 days prior to commencement of services: 30% of total price*

• 17-11 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price*

• On departure day and later: 100% of total price*

EXCEPTIONS TO THE STANDARD CANCELLATION FEES

For GlobalDuniya vacations that include Oberammergau in 2020, the following cancellation fees apply:

• 55-32 days prior to commencement of services: 40% of total price*

• 31-18 days prior to commencement of services: 60% of total*

• 17-11 days prior to commencement of services: 80% of total price*

• On departure date or later: 100% of total price*

For vacations that include a cruise on the Santa Cruz I, and Galápagos Legend, the following cancellation fees apply:

• 100-70 days prior to commencement of services: 35% of total price*

• 69-40 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price*

• 39-11 days prior to commencement of services: 80% of total price*

• On departure day and later: 100% of total price*

For vacations that include a Holland America or Celestyal Crystal cruise:

• 85-67 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price*

• 66-39 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price*

• 38-26 days prior to commencement of services: 75% of total price*

• 25-0 days prior to commencement of services: 100% of total price*

For vacations that include the Rocky Mountaineer or VIA Rail train:

• 75-57 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price*

• 56-0 days prior to commencement of services: 100% of total price*

For vacations to Greece, Israel and Jordan, and vacations on GlobalDuniya:

• 70-41 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price*

• 40-12 days prior to commencement of services: 90% of total price*

• 11 or less days prior to commencement of services: 100% of total price*

For vacations that include Norwegian Cruise lines:

• 120-85 days prior to the commencement of services: 20% of total price*

• 84-40 days prior to the commencement of services: 50% of total price*

• 39-18 days prior to the commencement of services: 75% of total price*

• 17-0 days prior to the commencement of services: 100% of total price*

For all other GlobalDuniya vacations to South America, Asia, South Pacific, and Africa, the following cancellation fees apply:

• 70-32 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price*

• 31-18 days prior to commencement of services: 30% of total price*

• 17-5 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price*

• On departure day and later: 100% of total price*

Cancellation fees may also apply to any additional services, including extra night accommodations, independently supplied services, and optional excursions reserved prior to, during, and after the tour. If flight changes, including, but not limited to, flight cancellations or name changes, are requested after full land and air deposits are received, revision fees, change fees, or airline cancellation fees will apply. In many instances, airline revision or change fees can be up to $300, but in some instances may be up to 100% of the ticket price. Cancellation penalties will be quoted at time of cancellation.
