Na de nachtelijke treinreis vanuit Hanoi verken je twee dagen lang Sapa en zijn prachtige zuidelijke vallei, met een overnachting in het Ta Van dorp van het Zay volk.
Sta om 20.00 uur klaar in de lobby van je hotel, onze gids en chauffeur halen je op voor een korte transfer naar het station van Hanoi voor de nachttrein naar Lao Cai City.
Of, als er geen trein beschikbaar is, neem je de slaapcabine bus naar Lao Cai.

Bij je vroege aankomst word je opgehaald op het station van Lao Cai voor een rit van ruim een uur bergopwaarts in een gedeeld minibusje naar Sapa. Na het opfrissen en het ontbijt in een plaatselijk restaurant geniet je van een vrije wandeling door dit charmante stadje, met een bezoek aan de markt van Sapa en de oude kathedraal, waar je veel plaatselijke etnische minderheden kunt ontmoeten, zoals Black H'mong en Red Zao die in hun traditionele kleurrijke jurken hun landbouw- en verzamelproducten en handwerk voor souvenirs verkopen. Terug naar ons kantoor in Sapa om ongeveer 10.30 uur en begin je verkenningstocht naar de Muong Hoa vallei. Je volgt de hoofdweg naar het zuiden voor ongeveer een uur voordat je rechtsaf slaat naar een voetpad heuvelafwaarts naar de Muong Hoa vallei. Dit deel biedt een spectaculair landschap van het hoogste deel van de Hoang Lien Son bergketen en op een mooie dag kun je Fansipan Peak zien. Als je de rivier oversteekt via een hangbrug ga je met je voeten omhoog naar het dorp Y Linh Ho. Hier bezoek je enkele H'mong families en zie je hoe ze hun dagelijkse werk doen. Na de picknicklunch gaat het pad ongeveer 2 uur op en neer naar Lao Chai, een groot dorp van de H'mong en dan langs de rivieroever naar Ta Van van het Zay-volk. Tijdens je bezoek aan plaatselijke huizen, dorpsscholen... zul je veel genieten van je culturele ontdekking van de plaatselijke etnische volkeren en van het adembenemende landschap van de Muong Hoa-vallei. Strijk neer in het dorp Ta Van voor een overnachting.

Na het ontbijt verlaat je Ta Van dorp en ga je bergopwaarts, langs fascinerende terrasvormige rijstvelden en enkele kleine gehuchten van de H'mong voordat je door een bamboebos bij een waterval komt, een pauze inlast en dan een half uur verder loopt naar Giang Ta Chai dorp van de Rode Zao, dat op de top van een heuvel ligt en uitkijkt over de Muong Hoa rivier. Na een bezoek aan het dorp, het bevriend raken met de Zao en het ervaren van hun gastvrijheid steek je de rivier over via een andere hangbrug en dan weer bergopwaarts naar het dorp Hau Thao, waar je een bezoek brengt aan een plaatselijk handwerkcentrum waar H'mong en Zao vrouwen samenkomen om ervaringen en handwerkkunst uit te wisselen. Een late lunch wordt hier vlakbij dit centrum bereid, waarna je tijd hebt om je te ontspannen en kennis te maken met plaatselijke schooljongens en -meisjes en hun leraren. Om 21.00 uur neem je een nachttrein vanuit het station van Lao Cai en bereik je de volgende dag rond 5.30 uur het station van Hanoi.

If a tour is cancelled 31 or more days prior to departure a full refund will be issued.
30 days or less prior to departure: 50% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fee
15 days or less prior to departure: 75% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fee
03 days or less prior to departure: 100% of booking value will be charged as cancellation fee
