Activiteiten in de ochtend
Je gids neemt je mee om je geld in te wisselen voor Cedi. Gasten die liever gebruik maken van een geldautomaat of bank, worden naar de dichtstbijzijnde bank gebracht om geld te halen. Voor gasten die geïnteresseerd zijn in het naaien van Afrikaanse kleding, kunnen we een afspraak regelen met een kleermaker om de maten op te nemen en de stijlen voor het naaien.
Bonwire Kente Weefdorp
Kente is een lokale stof geïnspireerd door "Ananse" (de spin), ontdekt door 2 jagende broers uit Bonwire, een van de belangrijkste Kente-weefplaatsen in Ghana. Het wordt geweven op een horizontaal stripweefgetouw, dat een smalle strook stof van ongeveer 5 cm breed produceert, zorgvuldig gerangschikt en met de hand aan elkaar genaaid tot een doek. De Kente-doek is bedoeld als een vorm van communicatie door de verschillende patronen, ontwerpen en kleuren. Het wordt gedragen bij speciale gelegenheden zoals festivals, bruiloften, naamgevingsceremonies en de inhuldiging van traditionele heersers.
Ntonsu handwerkdorp
Ntonsu Village is de belangrijkste producent van adinkra-ambachten, symbolen en kleding in Ghana. Adinkra symbolen zijn spreekwoordelijke symbolen, uniek ontworpen om een boodschap over te brengen, te adviseren en ook om mensen of sommige bovennatuurlijke wezens te prijzen. Op deze bestemming krijgen gasten het proces te zien en te leren van het maken van adinkra doeken, van het verfproces, het verven van de doeken tot het adinkra stempelen en vervolgens het borduren over de adinkra stempels. Deze kleding werd aanvankelijk in bruin, zwart en rood gemaakt, voornamelijk voor begrafenissen, maar wordt tegenwoordig in andere kleuren gemaakt voor commerciële doeleinden.

Prempeh II Jubileum Museum
Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, gevestigd in het Kumasi Centre for National and Cultural, werd in 1984 opgericht door Nana Prempeh II. Het is een nationale werkplaats voor ambachten, kunstvoorstellingen en een museum waar gasten meer te weten komen over de levensstijl en het geloof van de Ashantis. Het museum heeft een verzameling Ashanti culturele artefacten die veel geschiedenis en erfgoed met zich meedragen. Het herbergt enkele persoonlijke bezittingen van Prempeh II zoals zijn oorlogskleding, uitrusting om te eten en te baden, sieraden, beschermende amuletten en vele andere.
Okomfo Anokye Zwaardplaats
Gasten bezoeken de Okomfo Anokye Sword Site, waar zich een onwrikbaar zwaard bevindt dat bijna 300 jaar geleden werd geplant door de hogepriester Okomfo Anokye. Er wordt aangenomen dat hij heeft gewaarschuwd dat het Ashanti-Koninkrijk zal instorten als het zwaard eenmaal van zijn huidige plek is verwijderd en er zijn mislukte pogingen geweest om het weg te halen. Okomfo Anokye voorspelde dat de plek een genezingsplaats zou zijn en nu ligt hier het Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. De plek was ook de plek waar de beroemde Gouden Kruk van het Ashanti-Koninkrijk stond.
Manhyia Paleis
Gasten bezoeken de officiële residentie/zetel van de koning van de Ashantis en het administratieve hoofdkwartier van het Ashantikoninkrijk, het Manhyia Palace. Het paleis werd in 1925 door de Britten gebouwd ter vervanging van het oorspronkelijke paleis dat tijdens de Yaa Asantewaa oorlog werd verwoest om Prempeh I vanuit ballingschap op het eiland Seychellen te verwelkomen. In het paleis staan standbeelden van vorige Ashanti Koningen en enkele van de originele meubels die werden gebruikt. Het Manhyia Palace herinnert en informeert gasten over het algemeen over de geschiedenis en traditionele waarden van de Ashantis.

Assin Manso Slavenkamp
Gasten bezoeken het heilige schouwspel van de Assin Manso Slave River/Camp. Na een lange reis van het noorden naar het zuiden van Ghana, werden slaven naar deze rivier gebracht om hun laatste bad te nemen voordat ze naar de kastelen werden gemarcheerd om te wachten op verscheping. Op dit moment zijn de overblijfselen van nakomelingen van sommige slaven opgegraven uit Jamaica en New York, teruggebracht naar Ghana door de deur van de 'no return' en begraven op het voorouderlijk kerkhof van de site. De site is belangrijk bij de viering van het Pan African Festival en de Emancipation Day Celebration, omdat mensen uit de diaspora welkom zijn om terug te keren naar de wortels en het land van hun voorouders.

Kakum Nationaal Park
We brengen een bezoek aan het Kakum National Park, het op een na grootste nationale park in Ghana. Het is het thuis voor verschillende dieren, reptielen en vogels die voornamelijk nachtdieren zijn; actief en meestal 's nachts te zien. Er is een wandeling van 15 minuten naar de canopy walkway, de belangrijkste attractie van het bezoek. De loopbrug werd in 1994 gebouwd door 2 Canadezen en 6 Ghanezen en is ongeveer 40-50 meter hoog met een afstand van ongeveer 350 meter. De loopbrug geeft een luchtfoto van het bos en de veiligheid van de gasten is gegarandeerd omdat drie van de Ghanezen die de loopbrug hielpen bouwen nog steeds bij het park werken en regelmatig onderhoud uitvoeren. Deze tour wordt aanbevolen voor mensen die hun hoogtevrees willen overwinnen.
Kasteel van Cape Coast
Het Cape Coast Castle is het kleinste en enige kasteel dat in 1652 door de Europeanen werd gebouwd voor slavernij. Het Cape Coast Castle is door UNESCO erkend als Werelderfgoed en is een belangrijke plek geworden om het slavernijverleden te herdenken. Tijdens de viering van het eerste Pan African Festival in 1998 werden de overblijfselen van 2 slaven uit Jamaica en Barbados opgegraven en teruggebracht naar Ghana door de deur van no return, nu de deur van return. Dit was een symbolisch welkom voor hun nakomelingen die zeiden dat ze altijd vrij zijn om terug te keren naar hun wortels waar ze naartoe zijn gebracht. De site heeft bijgedragen aan het behoud van onze geschiedenis als Afrikanen en heeft geholpen het Afrikaanse perspectief op slavernij te vertellen.

Boottocht in Beyin
Boottocht bij Beyin die ons naar Nzulenzu leidt. Deze boottocht duurt ongeveer 15 tot 20 minuten en heeft veel mooie natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden op de rivier.
Nzulenzu dorp
Nzulenzu is een op palen gebouwd dorp in het hart van Beyin, een paar kilometer van de stad Takoradi. De mensen van Nzulezu wonen aan een meer dat langs de kust in verbinding staat met de oceaan. Deze plaats is zeer interessant omdat toeristen de geschiedenis en cultuur van de mensen in die gemeenschap leren kennen, en hun levensstijl ervaren door middel van een wandeling.

Ontspanning op het strand
Gasten kunnen ontspannen in het hotel of gaan zwemmen op het strand om te genieten van het ongelooflijke adembenemende landschap. Het resort wordt omringd door natuur en natuurlijke schoonheid, wat zorgt voor een rustige omgeving die perfect is om te ontspannen. Het hotel biedt ook veel spannende dingen om te doen, zoals natuurwandelingen, spabehandelingen, watersportactiviteiten en andere lokale spelletjes zoals 'Ludu' en 'Oware'. Kasteel Elmina
Het Elmina Castle is het oudste en grootste kasteel onder de Sahara dat in 1482 door de Europeanen werd gebouwd. Het werd in eerste instantie gebouwd als handelsnederzetting met pakhuizen voor het bewaren van goederen en items die werden uitgewisseld. Later werden de pakhuizen omgebouwd tot mannen- en vrouwenkelders waar slaven maximaal 3 maanden werden vastgehouden om te worden verscheept naar de "nieuwe wereld". Het kasteel van Elmina is nu door UNESCO erkend als Werelderfgoed. Het kasteel heeft vele doelen gediend, zoals gevangenissen, als middelbare school en is nu een historische plek die gasten verbindt met hun erfgoed en wortels.

Afspraak met kleermaker om kleding op te halen
Op dag 9 kunnen gasten de kleding ophalen bij de kleermaker en als er aanpassingen aan de kleding moeten worden gedaan, wordt dat op deze dag gedaan.
Kwame Nkrumah Museum
Het Kwame Nkrumah Museum is de laatste begraafplaats van de eerste president van Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, waar zijn graf en dat van zijn vrouw naast elkaar liggen. Op deze plek stond Nkrumah om de onafhankelijkheid van het land uit te roepen op 6 maart 1957. Het herbergt zijn persoonlijke bezittingen en spullen, zijn publicaties en boeken en ook een aantal onderscheidingen die hij bij leven wist te bemachtigen. Het museum neemt de gasten mee door zijn kindertijd, zijn politieke leven, zijn prestaties en successen als leider van het land en zijn omverwerping tot aan zijn dood.
Kunst- en Ambachtsmarkt
De Arts and Craft Market is een verzameling kraampjes waar kunstnijverheid en souvenirs geïnspireerd door de Ghanese cultuur, zoals kente doeken, kralen, houtsnijwerk en vele andere accessoires te koop worden aangeboden. Gasten krijgen de gelegenheid om van kraampje naar kraampje te gaan om wat souvenirs te kopen als herinnering aan hun bezoek aan Ghana. De verkopers staan ook altijd klaar voor de gasten en zijn bereid om gasten over te halen om hun waren te overwegen, omdat er op dezelfde locatie ook soortgelijke artikelen van verschillende verkopers te koop zijn.
Zwarte Ster Plein
In 1961, tijdens het bezoek van koningin Elisabeth II en prins Charles aan Ghana, werd het plein met de zwarte ster, ook bekend als het onafhankelijkheidsplein, in gebruik genomen door de eerste president van Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Op het plein kunnen gasten de onafhankelijkheidsboog, de black star gate en het monument van de bevrijding zien. De plek is een zeer grote open ruimte die wordt begrensd door tribunes waar ongeveer 30.000 mensen kunnen zitten. Het is gebouwd om de onafhankelijkheid van Ghana te herdenken als symbool van zelfredzaamheid en als plaats van nationale eenheid. De ruimte wordt gebruikt voor andere nationale, religieuze en commerciële evenementen, zoals politieke bijeenkomsten en entertainmentconcerten.
Gasten die voor vertrek uit Ghana een Covid-test moeten ondergaan, kunnen dat op dag negen na het ontbijt doen, voordat ze beginnen met de activiteiten op de bezienswaardigheden.
Uitgaan
Gasten die geïnteresseerd zijn in het nachtleven van Accra kunnen een van deze hangplekken bezoeken (maar niet alleen deze) om een indruk te krijgen van Accra bij nacht. Sommige van deze hangouts hebben hedendaagse livebandmuziek met lekker eten en drinken. Houd er rekening mee dat je soms een bedrag moet betalen om sommige van deze gelegenheden te betreden, die gasten zelf moeten betalen (het bedrag voor de gelegenheden kan variëren van een minimum entreeprijs van GHC50 tot GHC100).

By booking a tour or participating in a tour and any related products or services with Pro Tour, you agree to these Terms & Conditions
THE BOOKING CONTRACT
Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when the Pro Tour or your travel agent issues a written confirmation after receipt of the applicable deposit amount. Please ensure that you check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to the us or the authorized agent immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport or other forms of identification.
To book a tour you must be at least 18 years of age. You also agree to provide complete and accurate information required to Pro Tour or authorized agent.
BOOKING ON BEHALF OF OTHERS
By booking on behalf of other participants, you are deemed to be the designated contact person for every participant included on that booking. This means that you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with your booking, notifying us or your travel agent if any changes or cancellations are required and keeping your party informed.
You also represent and warrant that you have obtained all required consents. You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate and we will under no circumstances be liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided to complete a booking.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Any special needs must be made known to Pro Tour at the time of booking. Pro Tour ensure that it uses reasonable efforts to accommodate special needs or requests but this will not always be possible depending on the nature of the request, the destinations visited and availability of options outside a planned itinerary. Some activities may be inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any way. All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed to Pro Tour at the time of booking but we cannot guarantee that dietary needs or restrictions can be accommodated. Any special requests or requirements do not form part of these Terms or the contract between you and the Pro Tour and we are not liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Anyone under the age of 18 on the date of first travel is considered to be a minor. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult.
All bookings with a minor are subject to review and approval by Pro Tour. The consent of a parent, guardian or any other adult is required for booking and if the accompanying adult is responsible for securing and verifying all consents, documentation and ensuring that they and the minor(s) meet all legal requirements to travel, to enter into and depart from applicable countries and regions.
Pro Tour will not be responsible for any fees, damages, or losses incurred as a result of any failure to secure necessary consents, permits, and approvals.
Each adult on a booking with a minor or minor(s) is jointly and severally responsible for the behavior, wellbeing, supervision and monitoring of such minor(s), and jointly and severally accepts these Terms for and on behalf of any minor(s) on their booking, including all assumptions of risk and limitations of liability. Pro Tour does not provide care services for minors and expressly disclaims any responsibility for chaperoning or controlling any minor(s).
PRICES, SURCHARGES AND TAXES
Pro Tour will not increase the price of your Tour after you have booked and paid in full. Tours are priced and advertised inclusive of applicable taxes.
From time-to-time Pro Tour may offer reduced pricing on certain products or services. Reduced pricing applies only to new bookings. Bookings that have been confirmed and paid for to Pro Tour are not entitled to reduce pricing.
VALIDITY
All dates, itineraries and prices of Tours are subject to change at any time and the current price will be quoted and confirmed at the time of booking, subject to any surcharges that may be levied in accordance with these Terms.
You acknowledge that you are responsible for keeping up to date on specific details of your Tour and any other products or services, including, but not limited to checking the Tour Operator’s website or through a mail at least 72 hours prior to departure as minor changes may have been made after the time of booking.
AIRFARE
Tour prices do not include international or other airfare unless expressly mentioned in the Tour’s descriptions. If you would like us to arrange any airfare travel at an additional cost, you acknowledge that Pro Tour acts only as a sales agent for the applicable air carrier and the air carrier terms and conditions apply to the purchase and use of the air travel ticket. Please consult the air carrier’s applicable terms and conditions and conditions of carriage for complete information including applicable cancellation terms. Pro Tour would not be responsible for changes in air itineraries or flight times and does not provide advice or alerts regarding air travel tickets, flight status or delays.
FINAL PAYMENT & ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING
The confirmation sent by the Pro Tour or your travel agent will contain details of final payment required for any booking. Pro Tour is not responsible for any charges levied by third parties or financial institutions and payable by you as a result of credit card or other payment transactions and will not refund or return any fees charged by third parties or financial institutions in connection with payments made by you to Pro Tour.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
It is your responsibility to obtain information and to have in your possession all the required documentation and identification required for entry, departure and travel to each country or region. This includes a valid passport and all travel documents required by the relevant governmental authorities including all visas, permits and certificates (including but not limited to vaccination or medical certificates) and insurance policies.
CANCELLATION BY THE PARTICIPANT
You may cancel your booking by notifying the Pro Tour. Cancellation fees, if any, will be determined with reference to the date on which notice of cancellation is received by Pro Tour and are expressed as a percentage of the total price paid for the cancelled Tour, product or service.
Cancellation of a Tour
(a) Cancellation received 60 days or more before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 5% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
(b) Cancellation received 30-59 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 10% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
(c) Cancellation less than 30 days before departure of first product or service in relevant booking will be refunded after cancellation charges of 15% are deducted and the remainder of the payments made to Pro Tour in respect of the cancelled product will be refunded.
Cancellation of Arrival Transfers, Pre and Post Night Accommodations, My Own Room and optional activities booked directly with the Tour Operator:
(a) Cancellation before departure: you will receive a full refund (if no cancellation fee is required) in respect of cancelled Arrival Transfers, Pre and Post Night Accommodations, My Own Room and optional activities.
CANCELLATION BY PRO TOUR
A departure date for a Tour offered by Pro Tour will become a guaranteed departure when at least one booking secured by a valid deposit has been made on that departure.
Pro Tour guarantees that all scheduled Tour departures booked and secured with a valid deposit will depart as indicated on the applicable confirmation, subject to reasonable itinerary changes as described in these Terms or good faith health and safety concerns. Up to date Tour and itinerary information is available on Pro Tour’s website or by contacting us. Brochures and other printed materials displaying Tour information and departure dates are subject to change may not be relied upon for purposes of this guarantee.
If a Tour is cancelled by the Tour Operator before the date of departure and the cancellation is not caused by your fault or negligence, you will have the choice of accepting from Pro Tour:
(a) a substitute Tour of equivalent or superior value; or
(b) a substitute Tour of lesser value if no Tour of equivalent or superior value is reasonably available and to recover from Pro Tour the difference in price between the price of the Tour originally purchased and the substitute Tour; or
(c) a full refund of all monies paid for the cancelled Tour.
Pro Tour is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking including visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment, Pro Tour reserves the right to issue a full refund in lieu of the choices above, in its sole discretion. Where a significant element of a Tour as described cannot be provided after departure, the Tour Operator will make suitable alternative arrangements where possible. If it is not possible to provide a suitable alternative or if you reasonably reject any suitable alternatives, the Pro Tour may provide you with a refund for unused products or services as determined in its discretion.
LIABILITY
Pro Tour and its parents, subsidiaries and their respective employees, affiliates, officers, directors, successors, representatives, and assigns shall not be held liable for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider; and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government or any subdivision or agent thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. You waive any claim against Pro Tour for any such loss, damage, injury, or death.
In the event that any loss, death, injury or illness is caused by the negligent acts or omissions of the Tour Operator or of the Third Party Suppliers of any services which form part of the booking contract then the Tour Operator limits its liability, where applicable by all applicable international conventions.
IMAGES AND MARKETING
You agree that, while participating in any Tour, images, photos or videos may be taken by other participants, Pro Tour or its representatives that may contain or feature you. You consent to any such pictures being taken and grants a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to Pro Tour, its contractors, sub-contractors and assigns, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), in any medium whatsoever, whether currently known or hereinafter devised, without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.
