A 1.5-hour drive from Chiang Mai lies the Chiang Chill Elephant Sanctuary, an ethical haven that allows visitors to observe and learn about elephants without any exploitation or intrusion into the lives of these magnificent beings.
On this tour, guests accompany an expert local guide on a path through the forest to watch the elephants from a safe distance. During this walk, the guide will explain why visitors here aren’t allowed to interact with the elephants directly, and can instead observe them in their natural habitats, grazing and socialising without human disruptions.

What is bioluminescence you might ask! Well, some sea creatures can emit light and can be found in various forms in the Phang Nga Bay area. One of the most noteworthy examples is the bioluminescent plankton, a tiny organism that emits bright blue-green light due to changes in water temperature, nutrient availability, the presence of predators or other environmental stressors.
