Kathmandu Nagarkot Weekendtour met "Adventure Himalayan Travels" is een 4-daags tourpakket dat u via de oude steden Kathmandu en Bhaktapur naar Nagarkot brengt - een plaats die wereldwijd populair is vanwege het uitzicht op de zonsopgang dat er geboden wordt.
De tocht begint in Kathmandu, waar u de verschillende UNESCO werelderfgoederen van de stad zult verkennen: Pashupatinath Tempel, Swoyambunath (ook bekend als Apen Tempel), en Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Elke plaats is rijk aan cultuur en geschiedenis. Swoyambunath zit vol symboliek en is een van de oudste religieuze plaatsen in Nepal (meer dan 2000 jaar oud!). De boeddhistische tempel biedt een ongelooflijk uitzicht over Kathmandu. De Pasupatinath Tempel is de beroemdste hindoetempel van het land. U kunt er sadhoes (heilige mannen) zien mediteren, pelgrims zien baden, en lichamen zien cremeren aan de oevers van de Bagmati rivier. Tenslotte is er het Bhaktapur Durbar Square, een oud Newari koninkrijk dat even buiten Kathmandu ligt, op de weg naar Nagarkot.
Later op de dag maken we een korte rit naar Nagarkot, waar we op tijd aankomen voor de zonsondergang. Nagarkot is absoluut schitterend en u krijgt van hieruit een duidelijk uitzicht op het Himalayagebergte. De volgende dag staat u op voor een vroeg ontbijt om de zonsopgang achter deze ongerepte bergtoppen te zien. Het is een heuvelresort dat populair is omdat het een uitgebreid uitzicht heeft op de Kathmanduvallei, Mt. Everest, Manaslu, Gauri Shankar en andere bergen van Oost-Nepal.

Kathmandu Valley includes several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath (famous Hindu temple and cremation ground) Boudhanath (massive Buddhist stupa). We can also visit Swyambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, which was built roughly 2000 years ago. Finally, we can visit Patan, city of fine arts. In the afternoon, you will be meeting with your trekking guide and will check all the necessary things. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Rijden naar Nagarkot via Bhaktapur
On the 3rd day of Kathmandu Nagarkot Weekend Tour, we will set out for Nagarkot. En route, we will stop by the Medieval Newari City of Bhaktapur and get acquainted with its supreme architectural wonders of Golden Gate, a 55-Windowed Palace. We will visit Art Gallery and Pottery Square and then continue our journey towards the World Heritage Site of Changu Narayan before heading for Nagarkot - a high hill famed for the sunrise and sunset mountain views it offers. Overnight in Nagarkot.

Nagarkot naar luchthaven
We will leave the bed with wakeup call from the hotel staff and have a view of fascinating sunrise view over the mountains. Later we will drive back to the hotel in Kathmandu via Bhaktapur city. After the last moment preparation, our representative from ‘Adventure Himalayan Travels’ will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport for your next destination.
