Our route follows the historic Cu Vuong Road, once a horse path used by the H’mong King. Along the way, we’ll stop at Can Ty Wall, where you can marvel at the majestic Mien River winding through limestone mountains.

Continuing the adventure, we’ll conquer the Bac Sum Slope before reaching the Quan Ba Sky Gate, a famous viewpoint offering spectacular vistas of the Quan Ba Twin Mountains, also known as the "Fairy Mountains." These rolling hills are steeped in legend and add to the mystical beauty of the landscape.

Next, we’ll visit the legendary Tham Ma Slope, a winding road with panoramic views that will leave you in awe. Our route then takes us through Pho Cao village, where we’ll stop for a delicious local lunch, experiencing the unique flavors of Ha Giang cuisine.

After lunch, we’ll make our way to Ma So, where you’ll have the chance to learn the traditional Pai-pie craft from the H’mong people—a hands-on cultural experience that connects you with their rich heritage.

Before arriving in Dong Van, we’ll take a scenic detour to Thien Huong village, near the China border. Here, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a local host family and treated to a homemade meal, offering an authentic taste of local hospitality.

Finally, we’ll check in at our homestay in Dong Van, where you can relax and unwind after a day full of adventure. In the evening, feel free to take a leisurely stroll through Dong Van Ancient Town, soaking in the charming atmosphere of this historic area.

We begin the day at Dong Van Local Market, a bustling hub where you can immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, explore local produce, and gain insights into the daily lives of ethnic communities.

Next, we’ll visit a traditional handicraft village, renowned for its handmade hemp clothing. Here, you’ll witness the intricate process of crafting garments from hemp—an age-old skill passed down through generations.

From there, we embark on a thrilling ride toward the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most breathtaking mountain passes. At the viewpoint, you’ll be mesmerized by the spectacular sight of the Nho Que River winding through the dramatic Tu San Alley, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.

After soaking in the incredible views, we’ll follow the sky path, leading to a 2 km walk up Ma Pi Leng Rock Mountain, where we may meet cheerful local children along the way.

As lunchtime approaches, we’ll stop in Mau Due for a hearty local meal, refueling for the adventures ahead.

Afternoon

Our journey continues to the picturesque village of Du Gia, where the mountain passes are even more stunning than those near Dong Van. The ride offers jaw-dropping views of lush rice terraces, which glow a brilliant golden yellow during harvest season.

Throughout the journey, expect waves and high-fives from the friendly local children, whose warmth and enthusiasm make the experience even more special. This day is not just about the landscapes—it’s about connection, discovery, and unforgettable moments with the people of Ha Giang.

This morning, we’ll set out for a refreshing hike to Tham Luong Waterfall, located about 5 kilometers from our homestay. The trek will take you through picturesque landscapes, where you’ll pass charming traditional houses nestled among lush rice fields and majestic hills. Upon reaching the waterfall, you’ll be greeted by the sight of crystal-clear waters and have a chance to take a moment to unwind and enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool water.

After our visit to the waterfall, we’ll be back to Ha Giang City. The ride promises to be another day filled with stunning views and encounters with friendly locals. Along the way, we’ll make stops at breathtaking viewpoints, including Ma Pi Leng Canyon and Thuan Hoa Camping, where you can marvel at the dramatic landscapes.

If you’re feeling adventurous but the Du Gia Waterfall is too crowded, you can visit the tranquil Boong Waterfalls instead.

Arrive back in Ha Giang City by around 16:00, you will be escorted to the bus station for your onward journey. You have a few travel options for your return to Hanoi:

• 20:30 Night Bus to Hanoi, arriving around 4:00 AM the following day.
• 16:00 Limousine back to Hanoi and arrive around 22:30 - 23:00.
• 17:00 Sleeping Bus to Hanoi, arriving around midnight.
