De Everest Base Camp Trek is een van de populairste toeristische bestemmingen op aarde. De trektocht begint na een korte vlucht van Kathmandu naar Lukla. Vanuit Lukla beginnen trekkers aan de tocht naar het Everest Base Camp door het Sagarmatha National Park, een ruig en adembenemend landschap dat de diepe rivieren en enorme gletsjers laat zien die in het terrein zijn uitgesleten.
Na de steile klim door het Sagarmatha National Park bereiken de trekkers Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar op 3.440 m is het thuis van de beroemde Sherpa's en een charmant toevluchtsoord in dit prachtige landschap. Er zijn veel accommodaties voor trekkers. Er zijn ook winkels waar je je extra kunt bevoorraden. Trekkers hebben de kans om het rijke culturele erfgoed van de Sherpa's en het gevarieerde landschap van de omliggende gebieden te ontdekken.
Na Namche gaat het pad door weelderige alpenbossen, prachtige gletsjerrivieren en heilige boeddhistische tempels in de richting van Everest Base Camp en Kala Patthar. In Kala Patthar is het overduidelijk en gemakkelijk te zien waarom de Mount Everest en het Sagarmatha National Park zo'n populaire bestemming zijn. Dit is een avontuur dat je moet ondernemen om een onvergetelijke levenservaring op te doen.

After a good night sleep, we will fly from Kathmandu to the Tenzing Hillary Airport at Lukla. Upon arrival, we will start the trek to Phakhing. The trail comes to the Dudh Kosi Valley before to uphill to Phakding.

We will cross a river thanks to a suspension bridge and uphill following the shoreline to Chumoa, where there are some coffee shops. Afterward, we will walk through the forest and different small villages. The last two hours, uphill climb to Namche Bazaar, nicknamed the capital of Sherpa. An excellent time to understand their lives in the mountain and to discover their cultural heritage.

To prevent the altitude sickness, you will have a free day in Namche Bazaar. If you are feeling good and wants to explore, you could hike to Syangboche Everest View hotel, the highest hotel in the world to observe close view of Mt. Everest, Amadablam, Thamserku, Lhotse.

The trail will uphill and downhill to the Dudh Kosi River, its current makes turn the prayer wheels. One last steep ascent on 400 meters before to reach Tengboche Monastery with a panoramic view in the background..

Today we will walk through a rhododendron forest with many mani (Tibetan mantra engraved stones) to Pangboche. On the high part of this village is exposed the skull and the hand of a supposed yeti, the emblematic and mystic animal of Himalaya. Afterward, we will walk through others small villages.

Today we will hike up to Chhukung Valley, which is lies on the southern slopes of Lhotse and Nuptse by the Lho Glacier and the Nup Glacier, the western slopes of Cho Polu and Baruntse by the Imja Glaciers, and the northern slopes of Mount Ama Dablam by the Ama Dablam Glacier and Chukhung Glacier. This area was traditionally used as a yak pasture with no permanent habitation. With the popularity of the Mount Everest Trek, several lodges have been built there.

The trail climbs steadily to Khumbu Glacier during 3 hours. Then, we could see a set of a memorial dedicated to Sherpas and trekkers who lost their lives in the Himalaya. A last short ascent leads to Lobuche.

Today, we will finally uphill to reach the Everest Base Camp. The highest peak of the world. Enjoy this unforgettable experience before to get down to Gorak Shep.

Early in the morning, we will hike up to Kalapatthar. This peak offers the best view of the Everest summit of the entire trek. Enjoy and take some photos to keep memories of this breath-taking view. Now, its time to going back and after your great ascension, the trail is going to seem easy.
