As you approach Ashgabat, the contrast is striking. Rising from the desert like a vision in marble and glass, the city features grand boulevards, monumental buildings, and a polished, modern skyline unlike any other in Central Asia.

A half-day city tour introduces you to Ashgabat’s most meaningful landmarks. Explore the UNESCO-listed ruins of Nissa, once the seat of the Parthian Empire, before visiting the impressive Turkmenbashi Mosque–Mausoleum, one of the largest in Central Asia.
