After early breakfast, go to the airport and fly to Aswan, Arrival, meet & assist by our representatives and transfer to the Cruise. The unfinished obelisk is the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt in Aswan, Egypt. It is unknown which pharaoh created this structure. It is nearly one third larger than any ancient Egyptian obelisk ever erected. If finished it would have measured around 42 m and would have weighed nearly 1,200 tons. De tempel in Kom Ombo werd ook in deze tijd gebouwd, onder Ptolemaeus VI. Omdat deze bocht in de Nijl een geliefde plek was voor krokodillen om zich te koesteren in de zon en de plaatselijke bevolking te bedreigen, is het natuurlijk dat de tempel gewijd zou zijn aan Sobek, de krokodilgod. Maar het is ongewoon dat de tempel een dubbele wijding heeft: hij eert ook Haroeris, een vorm van de met een valk beklede god Horus. Hatsjepsoet was een vrouwelijke farao. Haar tempel, deze tempel werd gebouwd op drie vlakken nemen de vorm aan van balkons, voornamelijk gewijd aan de verering van de god Amun, en om begrafenisrituelen uit te voeren voor de koningin bekend als El Deir El Bahary

en gaat verder met de twee kolossale beelden van Amenhotep III, Kolossen van Memnon zijn de twee massieve stenen beelden van farao Amenhotep III. Ze staan al 3400 jaar in de Thebaanse necropolis, aan de overkant van de Nijl van de stad Luxor. De oorspronkelijke functie van de kolossen was om de wacht te houden bij de ingang van Amenhoteps gedenktempel of mortuariumtempel.Excursie naar de tempels van Thebe, op de oostelijke oever. Als je de Nijl oversteekt, ga je verder om vervolgens de Karnak Tempel te verkennen, de grootste plaats van aanbidding ooit gebouwd. In het oude Egypte nam de macht van de god Amun van Thebe tijdens het vroege Nieuwe Rijk geleidelijk toe, en na de korte vervolging onder leiding van Achnaton bereikte deze zijn hoogtepunt. Tijdens de regering van Ramesses III behoorde meer dan tweederde van het bezit van de tempels toe aan Amun, zoals blijkt uit de ontzagwekkende gebouwen in Karnak. Hoewel zwaar verwoest, is geen enkele site in Egypte indrukwekkender dan Karnak. Het is het grootste tempelcomplex ooit door de mens gebouwd, en vertegenwoordigt de gezamenlijke prestatie van vele generaties oude bouwers. De tempel van Karnak bestaat eigenlijk uit drie hoofdtempels, kleinere ingesloten tempels en verschillende buitentempels, ongeveer drie kilometer ten noorden van Luxor, Egypte, gelegen op 100 ha grond.
