Itinerary
Located in the far-northern side of Gorkha District in Nepal, Tsum is a lush valley i.e. home to Tibetan-style settlements, time-honored Buddhist Gompas and splendid outlooks of Ganesh Himal, Himalchuli, and Sringi Himal. This land of ethnic communities is untouched by modern civilizations and harbors the individuals guided by their vintage practices, religion and classic way of life; therefore, this mystic valley is often celebrated as the ‘hidden gem’ in the Manaslu Region. Our Tsum Valley Trekking lead trekkers beyond the remote countryside of topographical and cultural diversity, well-renowned for its landscapes testing abilities of trekkers, spectacular Himalayan vistas, and unique dialects, a mix of Tibetan and Gurung.
The trekking route beyond Tsum Valley was unlocked lately in 2008. Commencing from Baseri, the path pursues the standard Manaslu trail till Jagat. From this point onwards, we’ll make our way to Lokpa then continue past the villages positioned on the high, terraced hilltops covered in rhododendron. Getting familiar with the customs as well as the traditional lifestyle of the locals, we’ll eventually set our foot at Mu Gompa. Besides cultural and natural splendor, the trek also provides an insight into the diversity of flora and faunas. We may come across Blue Sheep and Himalayan Tahr en route. As the laws restrict any sort of hunting and fishing activities in this safe haven for a fragile ecosystem. In the end, we’ll steer our steady step in the course back to Kathmandu. The ubiquity of Buddhism can be observed frequently in the form of prayer flags, Mani walls, monasteries and stupas that we’ll traverse throughout our escapade.
This trek is the paradigm of the harmonious blend between nature and mankind with a touch of vivid culture, ideas, and social behavior of the timeless society. Contact us to secure your place on this remarkable journey through never-before-seen parts of Nepal!
