Itinéraire

Le trekking du lac Tilicho et du Semi Circuit est une aventure de grande combinaison pittoresque qui vous emmène autour des belles régions de la haute vallée de Manang. Vous pouvez ainsi visiter le magnifique lac glaciaire de Tilicho Lake. De plus, ce lac est considéré comme l'un des plus hauts du Népal et est considéré comme sacré par les hindous et les bouddhistes.

Le trekking vers le lac Tilicho vous conduit dans des zones éloignées et isolées de l'Annapurna et de la vallée de Manang. Ainsi, vous serez dans un pays peu aventuré, plein de vues panoramiques entre les pics de Gangapurna-Nilgiri et de Tilicho qui alimentent le lac à partir de ses glaciers massifs.

Le trek de Tilicho est une combinaison de lieux populaires autour de l'Annapurna et du circuit. Il mène à de magnifiques marches vers le lac Tilicho, situé au-delà de la vallée de Manang. Il s'agit d'un itinéraire hors des sentiers battus du circuit principal de l'Annapurna.

Cette fantastique aventure vous passionnera certainement lors de vos marches quotidiennes, face aux vues constantes des hauts sommets enneigés de l'Annapurna-Manaslu et du Lamjung Himal. L'itinéraire du trek du lac Tilicho mène plus haut, il comprend la chaîne massive de Chulus et de Dhaulagiri Himalaya.

Rien ne peut battre l'expérience de cette merveilleuse et pittoresque aventure qu'est ce trek. Le trekking dans ce pays de vues et de panoramas de montagnes qui vous entourent dans la vallée de Manang vous enthousiasmera certainement. Les villages traditionnels enrichis d'une culture et d'un héritage séculaires d'origine tibétaine et de religion bouddhiste sont à voir.

Ce trekking part des régions chaudes du district de Lamjung vers des températures alpines plus fraîches dans de hautes collines verdoyantes, puis vers une zone aride de glace et de glaciers autour de la vallée de Manang et au-delà du lac Tilicho avec le haut col de Thorang-la. Vous pourrez ainsi découvrir des climats variés et des cultures différentes et vous imprégner de cette merveilleuse aventure.

Le voyage se poursuit en altitude avec la visite de villages intéressants et d'un vieux monastère enrichi d'idoles anciennes et de chefs-d'œuvre d'art. Ensuite, la marche se poursuit au-delà du village principal de Manang pour atteindre notre destination principale, le magnifique lac Tilicho aux couleurs turquoises. Vous pourrez certainement faire l'expérience de la nature sauvage et tranquille des hautes montagnes.

Après avoir passé du temps sur place, nous retournons sur nos pas pour rejoindre les principaux sentiers du circuit de l'Annapurna. L'objectif principal est de franchir le point culminant de l'aventure, le col de Thorang-la. Vous pourrez ainsi admirer le panorama des deux côtés des montagnes des régions de Manang et de Mustang.

Il est maintenant temps de mettre fin à notre marche aventureuse, alors descendez pour atteindre le temple sacré de Muktinath. Vous rencontrerez de jolis villages avec de charmants lodges où vous pourrez séjourner et qui offrent une vue imprenable sur les pics du Dhaulagiri et du Nilgiri. Vous aurez tout le temps de visiter le célèbre temple sacré dédié à Lord Vishnu, l'un des trois principaux dieux de l'hindouisme.

De Muktinath, un trajet intéressant vous mène à la ville de Jomsom, située dans la vallée de la rivière Kaligandaki. Elle emprunte également l'ancienne route transhimalayenne du commerce du sel entre le Népal et le Tibet. Jomsom est le lieu de résidence des Thakali, les principales tribus de la région, et est également célèbre pour ses pommes et ses produits délicieux.

Après avoir terminé notre merveilleuse aventure de trekking au lac Tilicho, prenez un vol doux, court et pittoresque pour atterrir dans la ville pittoresque de Pokhara. Cette magnifique vallée est située au pied de l'imposant massif himalayen de l'Annapurna, qui se reflète dans les calmes lacs de Phewa.

Programme du circuit

Day 1

Jour 1 : Arrivée à Katmandou par une compagnie aérienne internationale et transfert à l'hôtel.

On arrival get received by our staff and guide and transfer to your respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu. After checking into your lovely rooms, get refreshed from jet-leg. Then join in with other members of Tilicho Lake Trek.


Our guide / leader will brief with information about the hotels-including detail of trekking regarding local lodge, walks, view, history and culture.  Simultaneously, with few important do’s and don’ts while you are with us having enjoyable times.


Evening includes a nice dinner in a pleasant Nepalese restaurant with local cultural programs. Remember the next day morning is the time to start our trip.

Day 2

Jour 2 : Route vers le centre-ouest du Népal jusqu'à Besisar et au-delà à Syange 1 100 m - 06 heures.

Morning starts with drive on tourist coach or smaller vehicle depending upon group size. Thus this journey that takes you away from Kathmandu valley. Gradually head into low warmer areas with views of snow-capped mountains. As drive continues on busy main highway past farm villages and town head Nepal Mid-West to reach at Besisar town/headquarter of Lamjung district.


After a pleasant stop continue driving beyond Besisar to reach at small farm village of Syange. Then stop for overnight stay in Syange. Next day is our first day trek to high and mid hills of Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 3

Jour 3 : Dharapani 1 920 m - 06 heures

Our trek starts with walk heading up on leaving Marysangdi River behind to reach  Jagat. And then walk into cool shade of forest towards Chamje, entering into more Buddhism cultural country. From here onward  walk leads to a nice valley at Tal-Besi.


Next few hours walks with ups and downhill including some gradual path leads to overnight stop. Dharapani is located in between the trails of Manaslu and Manang route or Annapurna circuit.

Day 4

Jour 4 : Chame 2 670 m - 05 heures.

With  rest in  Dharapani, walk on winding trail within rhododendron and pine forest past villages of Bagachap  Danque, then to Timang village. From here onward, you can notice more Buddhist culture along with views of Mt. Manaslu.


After a refreshing short stop at Timang village, few hours trek leads to Chame town for overnight stop. Chame  is a large and major town of Manang area and as well a head quarter of Manang district.

Day 5

Jour 5 : Pisang 3, 230 m - 05 h.

With overnight stay in Chame next day trek will end  at Pisang. On walk from Chame, air gets much cooler because walk leads close within mountains. In the morning, walk into cool alpine forest of rhododendron and pine trees, following Masrsyangdi River with  few short ups and down to Bratang village.


Then, follow uphill path into woodland to reach at Dhukure Pokhari. Which is a small place with few tea-houses and lodge overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak. With a lunch break here, walk descends to lower Pisang village for overnight stop.

Day 6

Jour 6 : Village de Manang 3 450 m - 05 h.

Pisang village offers great scenery of mountains and surrounding landscapes. Now, from here altitude gains as the morning walk leads through forest. And with a short uphill get super views of staggering Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak. As the walk reach flat valley at Hongde village, tree lines disappear for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate.


Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and fresco’s. Then, an hour walk reaches at Manang village.


The houses are built in typical Tibetan traditional style where Manang people are known for their rich culture and traditions.

Day 7

Jour 7 : Journée de repos à Manang pour des randonnées locales et l'acclimatation.

A necessary rest day for acclimatization before heading higher elevation to Thorang –la pass, in Manang  is managed.With optional short hike, explore Manang village and valley. Moreover, Manang is a large village situated on windswept valley at the bank of Marysangdi River. Furthermore, it is  beneath Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range. Go for  nice walk uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and the Manang emerald Lake.

Day 8

Jour 8 : Trekking jusqu'à Khangsar 3 734 - 05 h.

From Manang village, morning walk leads to our main highlight of the trip. As our route diverts from main Annapurna circuit trail reach one of the last village of Manang at Khangsar. Stop for overnight stay which lies on route to Tilicho Lake

Day 9

Jour 9 : Camp de base de Tilicho 4 240 m - 05 h.

Morning walk leads to gradual walks with few short downs and more climb into remote and isolated areas beyond Manang valley. Which is a  quiet trail to reach a nice meadow, with chances of spotting some wild-life like antelopes, musk deer or elusive snow leopard. Reach at Tilicho Base Camp for overnight stop.

Day 10

Jour 10 : Journée libre avec randonnée au lac Tilicho 4 140 m et retour au camp de base.

A free day at base camp is for hike towards scenic Tilicho Lake.It is one of the holy spot for both Hindu’s and Buddhist religions. The area offers wonderful views of snow-capped peaks in the comfort of nice lodge by the bank of beautiful Tilicho Lake.


After a great time at Tilicho Lake return back to Tilicho base camp for onward journey towards Thorang-la and Mustang area

Day 11

Jour 12 : Yak Kharka 4 110 m - 04 heures.

After wonderful time around Tilicho Lake, morning walk leads uphill to Yak Kharka. It is  an interesting high altitude walks facing super views of snow-capped mountains. Then cross a small stream river to reach at Yak Kharka, a small settlement with tremendous views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.

Day 12

Jour 13 : Thorang High Camp 4 600 m - 04 h.

Afterwards, walk advances to high area, head closer to the base of Thorang-la. As the walk leads to cross a bridge then climb along the river bank of Jarjung and at Thorung Phedi. Here, depending upon the physical conditions of the clients and everything goes well, go for hour steep climb to Thorang High Camp for overnight stop.

Day 13

Jour 14 : Traversée de Thorang-La 5 416 m et marche jusqu'à Muktinath 3 800 m - 07 h.

Having early breakfast, walk leads to long climb up towards Thorang-la.So, climb on steep terrain with winding path to Thorang La Pass situated  5,416 m / 17,700 ft high.


The highest altitude gain of the adventure offers vista of dramatic surrounding and far country landscapes with high snowcapped mountains. After an exciting stop where long descend takes you at Muktinath which is above 3,800 meters high.


Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’. It is one of the most holy spots for both Hindu and Buddhists. Stop for overnight stay in Muktinath.

Day 14

Jour 15 : Route vers Jomsom 2, 715 m avec après-midi libre - 02 hrs

Onward trip from Muktinath is Tatopani village where motor-able road have reached  few years ago.Which finally make it possible for drive and shorten our trekking day itinerary.


Take a morning drive down towards Kaligandaki river valley reaching at large town of Jomsom and headquarter of Mustang area. Jomsom is home of Thakali, a flourishing people and traders on this old Trans Himalayan Salt and Caravan trade route.


Jomsom with a small airstrip and afternoon free, explore its nice streets filled with shops, stores, restaurants, nice hotels and lodge.

Day 15

Jour 16 : Vol vers Pokhara à 860 m de Jomsom - 20 minutes et transfert à l'hôtel.

Our last day of the adventure completes with short and smooth flight to reach at scenic Pokhara around warmer low area of Nepal Mid West.


Pokhara is one of the charming places on earth blessed with high Annapurna range of peaks with calm lakes of Phewa and Begnas. It is touristic hub of Nepal. On landing at Pokhara airport, transfer to hotel by the beautiful Phewa Lake, with time to explore around interesting streets of lake side.

Day 16

Jour 17 : Retour en voiture ou en avion à Katmandou et transfert à l'hôtel.

Depending upon size of the group, travel on Tourist Coach or in private car to reach back at Kathmandu. Morning after breakfast in Pokhara hotel,  drive leads you on busy and exciting highway past farm villages and towns to Kathmandu. With time in the afternoon for leisure or engage in personal activities and shopping.


(Options to choose by air from Pokhara to reach Kathmandu 30 mins flight with panorama of mountains and dramatic landscapes.)

Day 17

Jour 18 : Départ de Katmandou pour un départ international en direction du pays d'origine.

Finally, all good things must come to an end with grand memories and exciting experience on Tilicho Lake trekking. With last final day in Nepal, our staff will transfer you to Kathmandu international airport for your flight home or to respective countries.

25% down payment which you can transfer to Bank Account in Kathmandu / Nepal rest of the trip cost to be made on arrival in Kathmandu before trek / tour departures, where applicable foreign currencies accepted like US $ – UK Pounds, and Euro or Chinese / Indian.

For Tibet and Bhutan at least minimum of one month booking ahead to arrange all logistic and entry permits for neighboring countries with 50% in advance.


Booking in Last Hour:

We accept your last hour booking in the eve of trip departure with 100% payment (07 days prior to tour starting date only for Nepal Trips, excluding trips Tibet, Bhutan and India not accepted as this requires at least 3 weeks in advance prior to trip departure for Nepal neighboring countries.

Trips Cancellation Policy:

On booking, some might be compelled to cancel the trip with various reasons from personal / domestic, medical, health, job or with some other situations, in this case where cancellation fees will be applied of 25% as cancellation charge, where you will be notified us or to our overseas agents with minimum of month in advance before trip departure.

60 % cancellation fee applied on 2 weeks to a month notice.

No refund on last minute or no show situation.

If clients has to return or break from the tour, trekking / or any other trips earlier than proposed itinerary days due to medical / physical or personal reasons clients has to borne his / her own expenses on route of trekking and at hotel in Kathmandu or in any other last main cities before you departure for home.

There are no refunds, if the company has to reroute to other areas due to unavoidable circumstances and from bad weather.

If such conditions arise company holds the right and providing you a hassle free adventure holidays with enjoyable time.

Clients’ Responsibility:

A tour / trekking guide representing our company holds all authority during treks and tours. If one behave badly or commit any unlawful act, where you will be compelled to leave the tour / treks. No refund will be made in such condition.

NEPAL VISA & PASSPORT CONDITION:

All clients are requested to have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date. Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.  The costs of Nepalese visas are sole / own responsibility of clients.

CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES FOR BHUTAN:

01: Required minimum of 30 days for cancellation notice prior to trip departure and it must be in written form, such notice will be implied from the day the note is received. Cancellation shall be valid after the company approval on receiving the documentation. The Trip shall then be termed as cancelled and then 50% of the trip amount would be deducted from the advance paid as cancellation charge.

02: There will be no refunds if a passenger cancels the trip or leaves a trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily, involuntarily or if you commit any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. We will make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.

03: On the eve of trip departure if you are prevented in joining the chosen tour, unfortunately there is no refund regarding this, transfer or postponing options are available as the Bhutanese Government has strict Tourism act and policies.

BHUTAN VISAS & PASSPORT CONDITIONS:

All clients requested to have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. For Bhutan visas you need to send your passport details to Destination Holidays for visa applications at least 45 days prior to the fix departure date.

TIBET CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES:

01: As per the company rules, there will be no refund to clients with less than 20 days notice given to us, on or before Trip departure and if a clients leaves the trip earlier for due to personal or medical reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily and if committed any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. Then the company is compelled to make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.

02: If client require any changes from the chosen original tour, the person who have booked the tour must submit a written document with any changes required. Then we will make every effort after the notification, but the changes cannot be guaranteed.

03: If you are compelled to cancel from travelling on the tour by genuine reason or circumstances, for example (without restriction) due to death, injury or any serious illness of the person, close relative or friends, redundancy or jury service, in this case one may postpone or transfer your booking to another close person, as long or provided they meet all the requirements relating to that trip. You are requested to provide proof of why you were unable to travel at the time and need to change your booking.

Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.  The costs of Nepalese visas are sole responsibility of clients.

As you are unable to obtain visas to Tibet you need to send your passport details to Destination Holidays for visa applications to this country, we require this information at least three weeks prior to departure.

HEALTH & FITNESS:

All Treks and Tours requires where one should be in sound health and good level of fitness before signing trip with us, client requires should with your Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness before the trip departures to Himalayan destinations.

It’s solely client’s responsibility to inform Eco Holidays Nepal of any pre-existing medical condition or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which may affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.

CHILDREN:

An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen. If you have any queries regarding age and suitability, please contact us for further information.

PUBLICITY:

Request to allow Eco Holidays Nepal to use pictures, snaps or images of you taken during the trip without being informed and as well without compensation, for company promotion and advertising purpose only through whatever medium takes place.

CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY AND PRICING:

Travelling with us requires a degree of flexibility, positive attitude good humor and understanding where mode of transport, accommodation and itineraries may change, even after the tour has commenced, without prior notice due to local circumstances such as flight delay, cancellation or postponement, road block due to riots and political crises.

WEATHER:

Himalayan regions or other unpredictable circumstances such as land-slides, road blockage, flood, snow, political unrest or delay arrival etc. Eco Holidays Nepal is unable to refund any payment under the above circumstances due to prior supplier arrangements. If possible we will always endeavor to provide you an alternative or substitute trip of same category.

Eco Holidays Nepal does not accept any responsibility for loss on employment, delays or compensation resulting from situations beyond our control.

Our holidays, tour / trek packages, are based on twin share accommodation. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to clients who do not have another tour participant to share accommodation with.

We reserve the right to revise pricing rates posted in our marketing material, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are further than our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc.

PRIVACY:

In order to gather information from you to make a booking through Eco Holidays Nepal  Destination, may ask many questions to obtain necessary permits etc. No private or personal information that you supply to us when making a booking will be disclosed for any other purposes.

We are committed to providing the best services which will give you a once in a life time journey in this connection, we perform our duties honestly & seriously to make your journey very smooth & pleasant. However, the entire program is conducted strictly under the rules and regulation of theirs’ own policies.

Eco Holidays Nepal shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstance such as govt. restriction, Land slide, road blockage, flood, snow political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, sickness or accident, Any extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients on the spots.

Client also should understand that what you might be accustomed to the western affluent countries, Himalayan or Third World and Developing Countries can’t afford such facilities.

Weather is another factor that directly impact on the journey. Hence, patience and positive in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before hand is must in taking part around third world countries.

The best thing is to take as it comes and think positively, then you will enjoy the holiday with us.

Travel Insurance:

You must have complete travel insurance package against medical, travel for natural calamity, helicopter evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation etc. This is strongly suggested to all our respected clients.

Tour Amendment:

To make alterations of any trek / tour itinerary, prior notice is requested.

You are advised to stay in touch with us thus, but occasionally, you may be obliged to do so en route under certain circumstance for instance bad weather etc.

Your personal belongings:

On any account, we are not responsible for any loss or damage of your baggage / luggage or property even when it is shouldered by Eco Holiday Nepal  porters, yaks-ponies or vehicles.

That means your personal possessions; luggage might be at your risk at the times, and however our trip escorts and guides will provide necessary safety precautions that this does not arise while with us.

Papers & Documents:

All necessary documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, obtain necessary permits etc. We are not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departure on the absence of essential papers and documents.

Risk & Responsibility:

Assuring your complete safety and satisfaction which is our main responsibility and concern, we therefore carry out our service sincerely & earnestly ensuring a hassle free holiday.

Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may change under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road block, floods, heavy snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot.

06: On full board trekking on Lodge basis with twin sharing accommodation includes all meals (breakfast-lunch and dinner)

07: On Camping services includes twin sharing tents (unless booked for single supplement) with separate kitchen unit backed by cook, kitchen staffs, guides and porters (in some area we use pack animals Yaks or Mules).

08: Private comfortable cars, coach or bus (as per the size of the group) on long driving journeys as per the trip selected.

09: Group Orientation program on do’s and don’ts regarding your trip.

10: International Air Tickets Re-Confirmation.

11: Our guide will have basic First Aid and Medical Kits.

04: Personal Trekking / Climbing gear and equipment, down or duvet jackets, sleeping bags. (Sleeping bags and down jackets and climbing equipment can be hired in Kathmandu at reasonable cost if it’s too much to carry from home)

05: Emergency Evacuation if necessary by any means of transportation including Helicopter

and personal medical kit as prescribed by your doctors.

Trek / Tour Grades information:

Leisure tours or walking trips:

For any physically fit of all ages with sound health, these trips involves short walking days of few hours and more of tour with scenic drives at places of interest.  The whole trip goes from 4-5 to 8 days on trek or scenic tour.

On rafting for a day or two days.

Moderate Trips:

For any physically fit of all ages that have done normal walk and with sound health. These trips involves few ups and down and the length of treks will be from 4-5 hours of walk every day with plenty of break in between. The whole trip goes from 2-5 to 8 days.

Adventurous Trips:

For physically fit person of all ages with sound health who have done moderate to vigorous walk or activity before or at present. These kind of treks involves long ups and down and the length of treks will be from 6-7 hours of walk every day with break in between. The whole trip goes from 10 to 20 days in the high altitude. On Rafting it involves river expedition for 7 -10 days.
