Itinéraire

La vue de la région inférieure de l'Everest depuis le Pikey Peak, par feu Sir Edmund Hillary, est spectaculaire sur le Mont Everest. Dans ce trek du Pikey Peak au Népal, le sentier a l'avantage d'être beaucoup plus éloigné des routes principales. Il vous permet de découvrir une perspective plus large et contrastée de l'Himalaya.


Le trekking à travers les contreforts luxuriants de l'Himalaya vous permet de découvrir le mode de vie, les traditions, la culture et la cuisine des Sherpas. L'attrait du sentier comprend d'anciennes routes commerciales, des vallées isolées, des cols de haute montagne, des villages isolés et des monastères cachés. Les vues dégagées et exposées des montagnes de glace et des vallées offrent de nombreuses possibilités aux photographes amateurs et professionnels pour créer une image saisissante.


Le pic Pikey, situé au Népal, culmine à 4 065 mètres et offre une vue panoramique spectaculaire sur l'Himalaya. Les monts Everest, Number et Lhotse sont tous visibles depuis le sommet.


Meilleure période pour le trekking au Pikey Peak au Népal ?

La meilleure saison pour faire du trekking dans la région de l'Everest est l'automne et le printemps, c'est-à-dire les mois de septembre, d'octobre, de novembre, de mars, d'avril et de mai.


Pendant l'automne, les mois de septembre, octobre et novembre, le temps est clair, les températures sont chaudes et la visibilité est bonne. Le temps étant doux, il est très facile de se déplacer dans la région.


Les mois de mars, avril et mai sont également la meilleure période pour visiter la région de l'Everest, marquant la fin de l'hiver. Le printemps apporte un changement dans la topographie de la région. La destination prend vie avec des rangées interminables de rhododendrons de différentes couleurs, des arbres drapés de mousse et d'orchidées, des sous-bois colorés qui s'étendent sur des kilomètres et des pics montagneux blancs et enneigés sur fond de ciel bleu limpide.


La mousson n'est pas propice au trekking car le temps devient rude et il est difficile de se déplacer dans le pays en raison des glissements de terrain et des inondations fréquents. La mousson est donc généralement évitée par les randonneurs.


En hiver, la région reçoit d'importantes chutes de neige, qui recouvrent la plupart des pistes, et l'accès à la plupart des régions de l'Everest est interdit, ce qui rend le trekking impossible.


Passeport et visa :

Chaque client doit être en possession d'un passeport valide à la date de retour avec une validité de 6 mois délivrée par le consulat népalais de votre pays ou le bureau d'immigration de l'aéroport international de Tribhuvan à Katmandou.

Programme du circuit

Day 1

Arrivée à Katmandou (1400m)

The flight into Kathmandu Valley is breathtaking with a panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges and the valley below. A representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drive you to your accommodation.

You'll have time to explore the city after you've checked in (depending on your arrival time). Kathmandu's Durbar Square, with its tiny passageways crowded with little stores, historic temples, and local eateries. Swayambhunath temple where you can watch the sunset over the view of the valley with a spectacular mountain range to your north is recommended attraction to see on your first day.

Thamel Nepal's tourist hub is a fantastic spot to start your lunch with a selection of eateries serving both Western and local Nepali cuisine. Later, a stroll through Asan Tole the city's biggest marketplace for an authentic exhibition of spice, food, and vegetable vendors that make for a fantastic photo opportunity while learning a few basic Nepali words to strike up a conversation with friendly locals.

Day 2

Route de Katmandou à Dhap, trekking à Sigane ou Japre (2920m)

Early in the morning, you depart from Kathmandu for a long drive to Dhap, where you’ll be traveling through the highlands on a Japanese-built road to the SunKosi River, from there you’ll follow the River eventually crossing it and ascending to Okhaldhunga which is roughly 3 hours’ drive away from Dhap. The road from Okhaldhunga to Dhap is a decent blacktop road that gains in altitude from 1560 meters / 5118 feet to 2800 meters 9186 feet.

Your journey begins in Dhap, as you approach Sigane you'll encounter mountains of the Numbur Himal range which you’ll become familiar with on the trail. For the first couple of hours, the track from Sigane follows a construction road leading to Japre first settlement 2920 meters/ 9580 feet, which nestles over a deep valley with panoramic views of Mount Everest as well as the Numbur Himal. This is your first stop on the trek.

Day 3

Trek de Japre au camp de base de Pikey (3640 mètres)

The route ascends from Japre to Bhulbhule's grassy ridge where there is only a single unnamed lodge with magnificent views of the Everest range, the path splits just beyond Bhulbhule from there you head right towards Pikey Peak Base Camp where you’ll be crossing a huge Mani stonewall as well as some traditional yak herders' cottages. The trail then follows the slope beneath Taklung Danda, passing through an enchanting woodland trail covered with lush tropical forest and rhododendrons. Pikey Peak Base Camp is only around 2 hours distant once you exit the forest.

At 3640 meters/ 11942 feet, there’s just one lodge with few rooms in a separate building where trekkers usually hang out in the dining area sharing experiences, from here it's only a short climb towards the peak which is at 4065 meters/13,336 feet. It's best to climb before daybreak but one can climb in the evening only if the weather is clear.

Day 4

Trek du camp de base du Pikey Peak à Chaulakharka (1460 mètres) via le Pikey Peak (4065 mètres)

The trail to the summit of Pikey Peak follows a gradual slope covered with prayer flags towards the peak. It's crucial to get up early in the morning to experience sunrise since the views from the summit are stunning where you’ll be welcomed with amazing views from Annapurna to Kanchenjunga if the weather is clear.

It's a quick descent down to the lodge for breakfast before heading out on the path, after passing through the Mani wall the path descends to the left and follows a high contour through the forests returning to Pikey Base Camp. It's a lovely trail with breathtaking mountain views, as the trail winds its way around the valley and down through lovely woodland where you eventually come across a cheese factory that marks the start of Ngaur. Ngaur is a beautiful village perched on a mountainside where you'll see relics of Gompas which is the result of the devastating earthquake.

The route descends rapidly through the forest to Kosinasa which the locals now refer to as Lamane, 2872 meters/ 9422 feet, where you'll be having your lunch from there the route leads towards Gumba. Gumba is a lovely hilltop village with around a dozen residences and newish Gompa, the route then swings right at Gumba and descends steeply through the forest to Namkheli, after leaving the forest the route then leads to the river (Likhu Kola) at 1535 meters/ 5036 feet and to Chaulakharka, where you will spend the night.

Trekking time: 6-7 hours

Day 5

Trek de Chaulakharka à Shivalaya (1770 mètres)

You'll have a 750-meter climb to Bhandar this morning, Shobha Lodge is by far the finest lodge in Bhandar and it is here that you will have a cup of tea before beginning your trek to Deurali, the trail climbs up to the Deurali pass at 3700 meters/ 12139 feet. On the east side of the pass, there are great views over the valley and river back towards Pikey Peak, and on the west side sits the little village of Deurali. Mt.Langtang comes into view here, there are some teas houses nestled together around rows of Mani Walls, where you'll have lunch. The trail drops rapidly at first, then gradually levels off to Shivalaya, a huge settlement on the riverbank where you will spend the night unless you choose to continue to Jiri and catch a bus the next morning. Trekking time: 7-8 hours Accommodation: Teahouse Meals- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner



Day 6

Route de Shivalaya à Katmandou

Today you say your goodbyes to the mountains and return to Kathmandu via bus/jeep. The first part of this voyage follows a spectacular path on a Swiss-built mountain road, going all the way to the Tamakoshi River before ascending to Charikot and then Mudu, from where it's all downhill ride to the BhoteKoshi which is around 3000 meters/ 9842 feet below.

Following the Arniko highway, you'll be ascending to Dhulikhel and then into the Kathmandu valley by mid-afternoon. In Kathmandu, we drop you off at any hotel of your choice (we can help if needed) and then leave you on your own to explore the city.

Deposit Policy

For trips to Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, a photocopy of your passport and a 35% deposit of the total trip cost are required to confirm your booking.

This 35% deposit is non-refundable and is used to secure hotel reservations, transportation, trekking permits, and other advance arrangements.

The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu, prior to the commencement of the tour.

Booking a Trip

* A 'trip' encompasses any itinerary or activities, including trekking, tours, expeditions, and other adventure programs that you purchase from us.

* The contract between Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. and the client is established only when we send a confirmation invoice or email to the customer.

* We reserve the right to adjust the prices of trips or tours before the booking is confirmed and the contract is finalized.

Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for any warranties, collateral agreements, prior agreements, or descriptions of services or conditions beyond those explicitly stated in this agreement.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking with the Alpine Club of Himalaya, please provide us with written notice. We will confirm the receipt of your cancellation request. The amount you will be charged for canceling will depend on how close to the departure date you make your request:

A non-refundable cancellation fee of 35% of the total tour cost will apply.

•⁠  ⁠45 to 59 days before departure:

40% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠30 to 44 days before departure:

50% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠15 to 29 days before departure:

70% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠7 to 14 days before departure:

85% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠Less than 7 days before departure:

100% of the total tour cost will be charged.

Please note, no refunds will be provided if you voluntarily drop out once the trip has begun or if you do not use any pre-paid services such as accommodation, transportation, or meals.

Cancellation by Alpine Club Of Himalaya  Pvt. Ltd.

Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any trip, including those guaranteed to operate, before departure due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, illness, quarantine, government restrictions, adverse weather, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, we will provide a refund of the trip price only. If a guaranteed trip is canceled, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or choose an alternative trip of equal value.

Significant alterations do not include changes to airline carriers, flight schedules, or itineraries, as long as departure and arrival dates remain the same. Changes in cabin category or hotel accommodation will be within the same category.

Please be aware that Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for any incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the client as a result of the booking. This includes costs such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail fares, parking fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.

Last-Minute Booking

Last-minute bookings for Nepal trips are accepted up to one day before departure. Full payment is required immediately. Last-minute bookings for Bhutan and Tibet trips are not accepted.

Trip Postponement

If you need to postpone your trip, notify us in writing with your new departure date. We will transfer your reservations to the new date at no additional cost, unless there are changes in rates for the new date.

Medical Conditions and Special Requirements

If you have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. at the time of booking. This includes physical disabilities or any other conditions that may affect your ability to travel. Failure to disclose such conditions may lead to refusal of travel and potential forfeiture of your deposit or even the full trip cost.

Certain trips may not be suitable for clients based on age, physical conditions (such as mobility issues or pregnancy), or mental health. It is your responsibility to verify suitability before booking. Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. will not provide special accommodations unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. It should cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, helicopter rescue, and other relevant risks. We recommend purchasing insurance from a reputable provider in your country.

Passport and Visa

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained at the Nepalese Consulate or on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Visa costs are the client’s responsibility.

Flight Delays and Changes in Itinerary

Please be aware that mountain adventures are subject to unpredictable weather conditions. Bad weather in mountainous regions can lead to delays or cancellations of domestic flights. In such cases, Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will arrange accommodation (guesthouse) and provide meals (lunch and breakfast) if requested by the client. However, clients are responsible for covering any additional expenses, including those for extra food and accommodation. If you opt for alternative arrangements, such as a helicopter flight to bypass delays, you will be responsible for all associated costs.

Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for missed international flights. We will make every effort to assist with alternative arrangements where possible. Additionally, please note that changes to the itinerary may be necessary due to adverse weather conditions or other factors beyond our control during outdoor activities.
