Itinéraire

Le Pikey Peak Trek est un itinéraire de trekking récemment découvert dans la région de l'Everest. Les sentiers isolés et retirés sont moins fréquentés par les touristes. C'est l'occasion rêvée de découvrir les histoires brutes et sauvages de la région de l'Everest. Ce trek du Pikey Peak vous emmène dans de magnifiques régions de l'Everest habitées par les Sherpas. Vous découvrirez leur véritable culture et leur mode de vie. En outre, le sentier vous fait traverser des collines, des crêtes et de hautes falaises offrant des vues panoramiques sur le mont Everest et d'autres sommets voisins de la région.

Le trek du Pikey Peak permet aux voyageurs d'explorer les paysages accidentés de la région de l'Everest. Il offre des vues magnifiques sur les chaînes himalayennes du Dhaulagiri, du Makalu, de l'Everest, du Lhotse, du Kanchenjunga et d'innombrables autres pics montagneux. Le trek commence par un long trajet en voiture depuis Katmandou jusqu'au petit village de Dhap. De Dhap, votre trekking commence officiellement vers Japre, un village perché au-dessus d'une vallée profonde avec des vues splendides sur l'Everest et le Numbur Himal. Ensuite, vous vous dirigez vers le camp de base de Pikey en traversant la crête herbeuse, un magnifique sentier forestier couvert d'une grande variété de rhododendrons. Vous pourrez également admirer la chaîne du Mahalangur. Le lendemain, vous vous dirigez vers le sommet du Pikey Peak, à une altitude de 4 065 mètres. Depuis le sommet, vous aurez une vue panoramique splendide sur l'Himalaya, de l'Annapurna au Kanchenjunga. Après avoir traversé les sections escarpées de la nature sauvage, vous atteindrez le village de Loding.


De Loding, vous vous dirigez vers Junbesi. Un village Sherpa traditionnel niché à une altitude de 2675 mètres, berceau de la culture et de l'architecture Sherpa. En chemin, visitez le monastère de Thubtenchoeling et découvrez les idées des moines. Ensuite, dirigez-vous vers le sentier de Taksindu et visitez les vergers de pommes et de pêches ainsi que l'ancien monastère de Taksindu construit en 1946. De Taksindu, dirigez-vous vers Phaplu pour explorer le Chiwong Gompa, fondé en 1923. Enfin, prenez un vol de Phaplu vers Katmandou.


Notre trek du Pikey Peak est conçu pour les trekkeurs expérimentés comme pour les débutants. Il s'agit d'un trekking court de niveau modéré dans la région de l'Everest. Quelle est la meilleure période pour visiter l'Everest ?

La meilleure saison pour faire du trekking dans la région de l'Everest est l'automne et le printemps, c'est-à-dire les mois de septembre, octobre, novembre, mars, avril et mai.


Pendant l'automne, les mois de septembre, octobre et novembre, le temps est clair, les températures sont chaudes et la visibilité est bonne. Le temps étant doux, il est très facile de se déplacer dans la région.


Le printemps, en mars, avril et mai, est également la meilleure période pour visiter la région de l'Everest. Elle marque la fin de l'hiver, le printemps apporte un changement dans la topographie de la région et la destination prend vie avec des rangées interminables de rhododendrons de différentes couleurs, des arbres drapés de mousse et d'orchidées, des sous-bois colorés qui s'étendent sur des kilomètres et les pics montagneux blancs et enneigés sur fond de ciel bleu limpide.


La mousson n'est pas propice au trekking car le temps devient rude et il est difficile de se déplacer dans le pays en raison des glissements de terrain et des inondations fréquents. La mousson est donc généralement évitée par les randonneurs.


En hiver, la région reçoit d'importantes chutes de neige, qui recouvrent la plupart des pistes, et l'accès à la plupart des régions de l'Everest est interdit, ce qui rend le trekking impossible.

Programme du circuit

Day 1

Arrivée à Katmandou (1400m)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative from Alpine Club of Himalaya who will drop you off at our hotel. After checking in, you take a rest or stroll around the streets of Thamel, a tourist hub in Kathmandu. In the evening, join in for a welcome dinner hosted by the Alpine Club of Himalaya.

Day 2

Visite de Katmandou et préparation du trekking

After breakfast, head on a guided tour of the valley towards various historical and spiritual attractions. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath), and the Buddhist shrine of Bouddhanath, the largest stupas in the world. In the afternoon join in for a short briefing regarding the trip with your trekking leader and other team members. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3

Route jusqu'à Dhap (2850 mètres), Trek jusqu'à Japre (2920 mètres). 9 heures de route. Trek- 2-3 heures

After breakfast head on a long drive from Kathmandu to Dhap which takes around 8 to 9 hours. Following the eastern highway, you pass various settlements and lush woodlands of central Nepal. Upon reaching Dhap, after a brief rest head towards Japre. Following the southern ridgeline, with majestic views of the Number Himal section of the Himalayan Range. As you progress you will reach the settlement of Sigane.

From Sigane follow a constructing road section for the first couple of hours. As, you progress you will reach the settlement of Japre, perched above a deep valley with splendid views of Everest and Number Himal. After a brief rest explore the village and visit the Gompas of the region.

Duration: 9 hours drive and 2-3 hours trek

Day 4

Trek jusqu'au camp de base de Pikey (3640 mètres). Trek de 5 à 6 heures.

Today following the descending route you will reach the grassy ridge at Bhulbhule. The settlement house is a single tea house with grand views of the Mahalangur range. From Bhulbhule as you progress the trail splits and you will be taking the right turn which leads to Pikey Peak.

Along the trail, you will pass old houses and a series of Mani stone walls. The trail then contours the hillside below Taklung Danda and passes through a beautiful forested trail.

The woodland is covered with varieties of rhododendrons (which you can see in bloom if trekking in the spring). As you traverse out of the deep wilderness follow the trail for a couple of hours you will reach Pikey Base Camp.

Day 5

Lever de soleil au Pikey Peak et trekking jusqu'à Loding (2515 mètres). Randonnée de 3 à 4 heures.

After an early breakfast, head towards the summit of Pikey Peak at an elevation of 4,065 meters. Apart from the altitude, the climb is non-technical, so take it slow and take frequent rest. The gradual climb takes you to the summit. From the top witness the splendid panoramic views of the Himalayas from Annapurna to Kanchenjunga. After soaking in the energy of the mountains head towards Pikey Base Camp.

Next, following the ridgeline start your trek, as you progress you will be traversing on flat grounds and eventually through lush woodlands to Jase Bhanjyang. From, Jase Bhanjyang traversing through the steep sections of the deep wilderness you will reach the settlement of Loding.

Day 6

Trek de Loding à Junbesi (2675 mètres), visite du monastère de Thubtenchoeling. Trek de 3 à 4 heures.

Today start your trek following a descending trail, on a ridge section to Jase Bhanjyang. From here there are several trails taking you towards Junbesi. You will be taking a shortcut trail that leaves the ridge and descends steeply through spectacular old-growth forest to Taktor. Along with this section witness grand views of the woodland covered with ferns and orchids. As you progress the trail joins the Everest Base Camp trail coming from Jiri.

From Taktor, after a couple of hours, trek you will eventually reach Junbesi. A traditional Sherpa village nestled at an altitude of 2675 meters/ 8776 feet, is the cradle of Sherpa culture and architecture. After a brief rest head out to explore the monasteries of the area and start friendly conversations with the monks and the locals getting an insight into their culture and lifestyle.

Day 7

Trek de Junbesi à Taksindu (2842 mètres). Trek de 5 à 6 heures

After breakfast, we will start our trek, towards the river basin after crossing the river climb through the forest up to Salung. From Salung witness grand views of Mount Everest (8848.86 meters/ 29,028 feet), Chamlang (7319 meters/ 2,4012 feet), Makalu (8481 meters/ 27,824 feet), and gorgeous views out across the valley to Chiwong Monastery and down towards Phaplu.

Next head towards the settlement of Ringmo, a region renowned for its apple, and peach orchards. Here try various apple cuisines of the region. After exploring the orchards, start the final leg of your trek. Traversing across an uphill section you will reach Taksindu La. From here witness the views of the Mahalangur range, after a brief descent you will reach Taksindu Monastery bbuiltin1946. After exploring the monastery head towards the tea house.

Day 8

Trek de Taksindu à Phaplu (2413 mètres), visite de Chiwong Gompa. Trek de 5 à 6 heures.

Today leave the main trekking route again and take a beautiful path down to Phaplu through the forest. There’s also the option of hiking up to Chiwong Gompa, perched high on a cliff overlooking the valley. This monastery was founded in 1923 and has magnificent celebrations for the Mani Rimdu festival in autumn. Continue on down into Phaplu and celebrate the completion of a great trek at your cozy tea house.

Day 9

Vol de Phaplu à Katmandou. (30 minutes de vol)

After an early breakfast bid farewell to the mountains and catch a flight towards Kathmandu Valley. Upon reaching Kathmandu head towards your accommodation.

Deposit Policy

For trips to Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, a photocopy of your passport and a 35% deposit of the total trip cost are required to confirm your booking.

This 35% deposit is non-refundable and is used to secure hotel reservations, transportation, trekking permits, and other advance arrangements.

The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu, prior to the commencement of the tour.

* A 'trip' encompasses any itinerary or activities, including trekking, tours, expeditions, and other adventure programs that you purchase from us.

* The contract between Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. and the client is established only when we send a confirmation invoice or email to the customer.

* We reserve the right to adjust the prices of trips or tours before the booking is confirmed and the contract is finalized.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking with the Alpine Club of Himalaya, please provide us with written notice. We will confirm the receipt of your cancellation request. The amount you will be charged for canceling will depend on how close to the departure date you make your request:

A non-refundable cancellation fee of 35% of the total tour cost will apply.

•⁠  ⁠45 to 59 days before departure:

40% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠30 to 44 days before departure:

50% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠15 to 29 days before departure:

70% of the total tour cost will be charged.

Cancellation by Alpine Club Of Himalaya  Pvt. Ltd.

Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any trip, including those guaranteed to operate, before departure due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, illness, quarantine, government restrictions, adverse weather, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, we will provide a refund of the trip price only. If a guaranteed trip is canceled, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or choose an alternative trip of equal value.

Significant alterations do not include changes to airline carriers, flight schedules, or itineraries, as long as departure and arrival dates remain the same. Changes in cabin category or hotel accommodation will be within the same category.

Please be aware that Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for any incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the client as a result of the booking. This includes costs such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail fares, parking fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.

Additionally, no refunds will be given if you choose to withdraw from the trip after it has commenced, or if you do not utilize any pre-paid services, including accommodation, transportation, or meals.

Last-Minute Booking

Last-minute bookings for Nepal trips are accepted up to one day before departure. Full payment is required immediately. Last-minute bookings for Bhutan and Tibet trips are not accepted.

Trip Postponement

If you need to postpone your trip, notify us in writing with your new departure date. We will transfer your reservations to the new date at no additional cost, unless there are changes in rates for the new date.

Medical Conditions and Special Requirements

If you have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. at the time of booking. This includes physical disabilities or any other conditions that may affect your ability to travel. Failure to disclose such conditions may lead to refusal of travel and potential forfeiture of your deposit or even the full trip cost.

Certain trips may not be suitable for clients based on age, physical conditions (such as mobility issues or pregnancy), or mental health. It is your responsibility to verify suitability before booking. Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. will not provide special accommodations unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. We will make every effort to accommodate special requests, including dietary preferences, but such requests are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contractual agreement.

Medical facilities and standards vary by country, and Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality of medical treatment available.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. It should cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, helicopter rescue, and other relevant risks. We recommend purchasing insurance from a reputable provider in your country.

Passport and Visa

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained at the Nepalese Consulate or on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Visa costs are the client’s responsibility.

Flight Delays and Changes in Itinerary

­ 

Please be aware that mountain adventures are subject to unpredictable weather conditions. Bad weather in mountainous regions can lead to delays or cancellations of domestic flights. In such cases, Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will arrange accommodation (guesthouse) and provide meals (lunch and breakfast) if requested by the client. However, clients are responsible for covering any additional expenses, including those for extra food and accommodation. If you opt for alternative arrangements, such as a helicopter flight to bypass delays, you will be responsible for all associated costs.

Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for missed international flights. We will make every effort to assist with alternative arrangements where possible. Additionally, please note that changes to the itinerary may be necessary due to adverse weather conditions or other factors beyond our control during outdoor activities.

Risk and Liability

We strive to provide exceptional service and a pleasant holiday experience. However, Alpine Club of Himalaya  Pvt. Ltd. and its affiliates are not responsible for itinerary changes due to unforeseen circumstances such as government restrictions, natural disasters, political unrest, flight cancellations, or other events beyond our control. Adventure trips inherently involve risks, and clients accept responsibility for any personal injuries, damages, or additional expenses that may arise.

Cost Adjustments

Injuries and Evacuations

Our package costs do not include personal insurance. Alpine Club of Himalaya  is not liable for injuries or health issues during the trip. Clients should have their own insurance coverage.

Client Responsibilities

Our tour/trek leader has full authority during the trip. Any unlawful behavior may result in immediate removal from the tour, with no refund.

Publicity

We may use photos and videos of clients for promotional purposes on our website, but we respect privacy and will not disclose personal information.

Personal Belongings

While we take measures to ensure the safety of your belongings, Alpine Club of Himalaya   is not responsible for lost or damaged luggage or personal items during the trip.
