Le trek du Manaslu et de la vallée de Tsum vous emmène à travers les montagnes reculées de l'Himalaya, au nord du Népal. L'une des régions les plus isolées du pays, accrochée au flanc des montagnes, dans les pics gelés de l'Himalaya. Le trek du Manaslu et de la vallée de Tsum est une destination de trekking classique au Népal.


Isolé, brut et authentique, vous découvrirez ici des paysages magnifiques, des merveilles cachées et les différents visages de cet endroit. Aperçu du trek :

La vallée de Tsum est l'une des vallées les plus isolées et les plus cachées de l'Himalaya. C'est une terre bouddhiste tibétaine secrète qui n'a été ouverte aux visiteurs que depuis 2008 et qui reste encore intacte. Ici, les personnes d'origine tibétaine pratiquent encore d'anciennes formes de dialogue, d'art, de culture et de religion. Là où les âmes nomades sont entourées par la nature, au milieu de paysages sauvages et préservés.


Lors du trek du Manaslu et de la vallée de la Tsum, vous explorerez des vallées cachées, traverserez des forêts luxuriantes, des terrains alpins, des falaises abruptes et franchirez des cols de haute montagne sur les contreforts de l'Himalaya.


Le paradis, en tant que tel, est resté invisible pour la plupart des gens. Des royaumes perdus pour le monde, sauf peut-être pour les moines et les dieux. Le trek du Manaslu et de la vallée de la Tsum vous emmène dans certains des plus beaux endroits de la planète.


Départ de notre trek de Katmandou

Le trek du Manaslu et de la vallée de la Tsum commence à Katmandou et vous emmène dans la petite ville de Machha Khola située à Gorkha. Machha Khola est le point de départ du trek. De là, vous traversez les collines centrales du pays et vous vous dirigez vers Dobhan. Ensuite, en suivant les rapides de la rivière Budi Gandaki, vous vous dirigez vers le village de Philim. Le lendemain, le sentier vous emmène dans la vallée de la basse Tsum. En traversant l'extraordinaire vallée de Tsum, vous atteindrez Chhokang Paro, un village situé dans la haute vallée de Tsum.


Le lendemain, vous vous enfoncez dans la vallée et atteignez le village de Chhule. Vous y découvrirez plusieurs monastères et la grotte de Milarepa. Le saint bouddhiste et philosophe aurait médité dans ces grottes au 11ème siècle. Rapprochez-vous ensuite de la frontière tibétaine et atteignez le Mu Gompa, niché sur un glacier. Vous y découvrirez la riche histoire et la culture des montagnards.


L'épreuve du circuit du Manaslu

Après avoir percé les secrets cachés de la vallée de Tsum, revenez sur vos pas en direction de Ripchet. De Ripchet, dirigez-vous vers Pewa, qui vous mènera à l'épreuve du circuit du Manaslu. Ensuite, en suivant la rivière Budi Gandaki vers le nord, en traversant de larges vallées et quelques glissements de terrain, vous atteindrez le village de Ghap. De Ghap, vous vous dirigez vers Lho. En chemin, admirez les vues grandioses sur la chaîne de l'Himalaya et les réseaux de collines luxuriantes. Vous passerez également devant plusieurs Gompas et de luxuriantes exploitations agricoles d'orge et de pommes de terre.


Plus loin, les sentiers prennent de l'altitude et vous emmènent le long de la large vallée jusqu'à Samagaun. Le lendemain, vous vous dirigez vers Samdo en passant par les pâturages des Yaks. Depuis Samdo, vous aurez une vue panoramique sur plusieurs montagnes et sur les pics du puissant Manaslu. Après avoir exploré les environs de Samdo, vous vous dirigez le lendemain vers Dharamsala, le dernier village avant de franchir le col.


Le jour le plus attendu du trek est enfin arrivé. Aujourd'hui, vous franchirez l'un des plus hauts cols de l'Himalaya. Réveillez-vous avant l'aube et commencez à marcher en admirant le ciel rempli d'étoiles et la silhouette des montagnes. En prenant progressivement de l'altitude, vous atteindrez le sommet du col, d'où vous aurez une vue extraordinaire, et continuerez à descendre de l'autre côté. En descendant à travers la neige et les rochers, vous traverserez la zone de conservation du Manaslu et les sentiers de la région de l'Annapurna jusqu'au village de Bimtang. Le lendemain, vous descendrez plusieurs villages et atteindrez Dharapani, où le circuit du Manaslu rejoint celui de l'Annapurna.

Programme du circuit

Day 1

Arrivée à Katmandou (1400 mètres/ 4593 pieds)

Upon arrival at the Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport. A representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya will assist you with your accommodation. Upon arriving at your hotel, rest for a while. Later join in for a short briefing regarding the trek. In the evening join in for a special dinner program where you will experience excellent Nepalese cuisine.



Day 2

Route de Katmandou à Arughat Bazaar (535 mètres/ 1755 pieds) 6 à 7 heures et route de Arughat Bazaar à Machha Khola -1 ½ à 2 heures.

After breakfast head on a long journey. Following the winding roads reach the small town of Gorkha District, Arughat Bazaar. The drive takes you following various river networks and hills of central Nepal. After a brief rest at Arughat proceed towards Machha Khola, following the off-road and dusty tracks. Upon arriving at Machha Khola head towards your accommodation, later stroll around the region, and relax soaking in the views of the landscapes.



Day 3

Trek Machha Khola à Dobhan (1 070 mètres/ 3510 pieds) - 6 à 7 heures

Today is the first day of the trek. Start the trek traversing across the lush wilderness of the region. Following north along, the Budi Gandaki River on ascending and descending trails. Along the way witness grand views of the Mahabharat range with its complex network of hills. Upon arriving at Dobhan head towards your tea house and relax.



Day 4

Trek Doban à Philim (1 570 mètres) - 5 à 6 heures

After breakfast start the trek. Following the tracks cross the rapids of the Doban Khola. Next, the trail takes you on ascending routes to a small settlement of Thulo Dhunga. Then follow the trail across the deep wilderness and progress towards Thado Bharyang. After a brief rest here continue towards the village of Jagat. Jagat is the starting point of the Manaslu Conservation Area, here get your permits checked and continue towards Philim.



Day 5

Trek Philim à Chumling (Lower Tsum) (2 361 mètres/ 7746 pieds) - 6 à 7 heures

Start the trek after breakfast. Leaving Philim, traverse an ascending route above the Budi Gandaki Valley. As you gain altitude the trail narrows down in some places. Following the trail reach the village of Chisopani. From here you will be entering one of the most secluded and hidden valleys of the Himalayas. Following ascending trail along the south side of the Siyar River. As you progress witness the lush agricultural belts of the region. Fields of colorful grain, potato, and bean fields overlooking the beautiful Shringi Himal. Continue trekking along the trail and descend to the village of Gumlung. Then continue following the rapids of the Siyar River upstream and finally, you will reach the settlement of Chumling.

You’ll enter the scenic Lower Tsum Valley and begin climbing uphill along the south side of the Siyar River. Continue trekking along the trail briefly descends to Gumlung village and then continues to climb upstream along the Siyar River towards Chumling.



Day 6

Trek de Chumling à Chhokang Paro (Upper Tsum) (3 010 mètres/ 9875 pieds) -5 à 6 heures

After breakfast start the trek. Follow the tracks ascending along the banks of Siyar Khola. Along the way witness grand views of Ganesh Himal Range along the exposed ridges. The trail then takes you past the traditional Tibetan-styled settlements of Ripchet village at an elevation of 2468 meters. Next following the flat trails with grand views of the landscape reach the settlement of Rainjam. From here ascending along the banks of Serpu Khola proceed to the village of Chhokang Paro. Chhokang Paro valley is divided into two different settlements, namely Chhokang and Paro. Upon arriving after a brief rest relax soaking in great views of the landscapes.



Day 7

Trek de Chhokang Paro à Chhule-Nile (3 361 mètres), visite de la grotte de Milarepa Piren Phu - 6 à 7 heures.

Start the trek early leaving Chhokang Paro. As you progress on the trail you will be traversing through rough rocky terrain with loose rocks. Following the ascending routes, you will eventually reach Lama Gaon at an elevation of 3202 meters. From here a short uphill trek brings you to the Milarepa Cave. Milarepa Cave is called Piren Phu, which translates to pigeons cave. The locals believe that the revered saint Milarepa meditated in the caves. Explore the caves and soak in the vibrant energy of the region.

After exploring head down and visit the nearby Gompas, Tara, and Milarepa. Then begin the trek follow the banks of Shiyar Khola. As you progress you will reach the village of Pangdun and finally Chhule. After a brief rest head out to explore the hidden beauty of the region.



Day 8

Trek Chhule-Nile jusqu'à Mu Gompa (3700 mètres/ 12139 pieds), visite de Dhephu Doma Gompa (4060 mètres/ 13320 pieds) -3 à 4 heures

Today's trek will take you deeper into the mountain country close to the Tibetan border in the north. Start the trek traversing along the west bank of the Tsum valley. As you progress cross the village of Nile and arrive at Mu Gompa. From here witness the splendid views of landscapes and plateaus around.


A short climb on ascending trails through moraines will eventually bring you to Mu Gompa, nestled on a glacier. From here witness grand views of the landscapes. Also, explore the Gompa and learn about the rich culture and traditions of the people. Later visit the Mu Dhephy Donma Gompa and bask in the splendid views of the sunset starting friendly conversations with the locals.

Day 9

Trek de Mu Gompa à Ripchet (2 470 mètres) - 6 à 7 heures

Wake up before dawn and bask in the views of the sunrise. After breakfast start your trek. Leaving the beautiful Upper Tsum Valley and retracing your steps back. Along the way cross several villages and lush agricultural belts. Progressing on the trail you will reach the Lower Tsum Valley and finally towards the village of Domje. From here after a brief walk you will be leaving the trails Tsum Valley which brings you to the village of Ripchet.



Day 10

Trek Ripchet à Pewa (1765 mètres / 5790 pieds) - 7 à 8 heures

Today's trek will bring you to the trail of the Manaslu circuit. Following the downwards tracks cross several villages and lush sections of woodlands. Progressing along the trail cross the rapids of the mighty Budi Gandaki river and traverse upstream. Following the trail to the north, you will eventually reach the settlement of Pewa.



Day 11

Trek Pewa à Ghap (2165 mètres/ 7103 pieds) - 4 à 5 heures

After breakfast start the trek. The first section of the trek takes you traversing along relatively flat land to the settlement of Deng. From Deng witness grand views of the Buddha Himal and Shringi mountain range. Next, the trek takes you gaining altitude. As you progress cross the Budi Gandaki river and head on an uphill section. Traversing on loose rocks and dusty tracks reach the small village of Rana at an elevation of 1910 meters.

From Rana village following ascending and descending trails reach the village of Bihi Phedi. Along the way witness grand views of the landscapes. Then eventually head towards Ghap. This section of the trail takes you across wide valleys and few landslides. Following the Budi Gandaki upstream finally reach the settlement of Ghap.

Day 12

Trek de Ghap à Lho (3180 mètres/ 10433 pieds) - 5 à 6 heures

Wake up before dawn and witness the grand views of the sunrise. After breakfast start the trek following the rapids of the mighty Budi Gandaki River. As you progress on the trail traverse across majestic riverside woodlands and head on an ascending track towards the Namrung village. At Namrung head towards the Serang viewpoint. From the viewpoint witness grand views of the greater Himalayan range and the lush networks of hills to the south. Also the grand views of the village.

Then following the tracks through deep wilderness cross the village of Lihi. At the village witness several Gompas and lush agricultural farms of barley and potatoes. As you progress cross the village of Sho and finally arrive at Lho. Upon arriving at the village head towards your tea house and rest. Later stroll around the village and visit the monasteries around learning about the culture and traditions of the people. In the afternoon bask in the views of the sunset overlooking the majestic Mt. Manaslu and other peaks.

Day 13

Trek Lho à Samagaun/ Sama (Ryo) (3520 mètres/ 11548 pieds) - 5 à 6 heures.

Wake up early and witness the grand views of the sunrise over the Himalayas. Basking in the splendid views have your breakfast. After breakfast start your trek, traversing along the rapids of the mighty Budi Gandaki River. As you move further the trails takes you gaining altitude. Progressing on the ascending trail witness spectacular views of the mountains around. Ganesh Himal, Himchuli, Manaslu East peak, Naike peak, Ngadi peak (Peak 29), and other endless mountain peaks.

Along the way cross several Chortens perched on the backdrops of the Manaslu massif. As you progress you will come upon a wide valley and eventually to Samagaun. At Samagaun relax soaking in the views of the landscapes and snow-white mountain peaks.

Day 14

Trek Samagaun/ Sama (Ryo) à Samdo (3875 mètres/ 12713 pieds) - 4 à 5 heures.

Today's trek takes you deeper into the mountain country with grand views of the landscapes. Start by traversing the wide flat lands along the rapids of the mighty Budi Gandaki. Along the trail witness grand views of the Manaslu and other snow-capped peaks. Progressing on the trail the landscape change into high alpine topography with patches of shrubs and scattered vegetation.

Upon reaching Samdo head towards your accommodation and relax for a while. Later head out to stroll around the region and learn about the rich culture and traditions of the inhabitants. In the afternoon bask in the views of the sunset and witness the white snowy peaks dancing with the rays of the sun.

Day 15

Trek de Samdo à Dharamsala (Larkya Phedi) (4460 mètres/ 14632 pieds) - 5 à 6 heures

Wake up early and witness the grand views during the sunrise. After having your breakfast start the trek. Following the dry arid tracks pass by a fair seasonal market of Larkya Bazar and descend towards the Budi Gandaki River. Then, cross a wooden bridge and start traversing uphill sections. As you progress witness the views of the Larkya Glacier. Crossing a couple of streams and Mani walls head around the valley and start ascending towards Dharamsala. Upon reaching Dharamsala relax and rest as tomorrow you will be crossing one of the longest Pass of the Himalayas.



Day 16

Trek Dharamshala /Larkey Phadi à Bimtang (3590 mètres/ 11778 pieds) via Larkya La (5160 mètres/ 16929 pieds) - 7 à 8 heures

Today is the most awaited day of the entire trek. Start early around 3 a.m. The mountain weather may deteriorate as the day goes on so it is very crucial to cross the pass before midday. After a light breakfast start the trek. Progressing on the trail traverse across a 5-kilometer incline and an uphill stretch and reach a tea shop. This makeshift tea shop is the last established before crossing the pass.

After a brief stop at the tea shop start the trek. Along the way witness grand views of the Manaslu Himalayas Ranges and other several snow-clad peaks. As you progress the trail gets more and more challenging with snow and ice-covered tracks, glacier lakes, and loose rocks. Gaining altitude reach the summit of the Larkya La pass, at 5106 meters.

From the summit witness views like never before. Views of kangguru, Annapurna II, Himlung, Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kang, Larkya Peak, Namjung Himal, Ratna Chuli, and several glaciers and moraines. After spending a brief time at the summit of the pass descend to the other side.

The 11-kilometer descent takes you on a steep track. Take extra caution in this section as the trails are covered in ice and lose rocks. Continue down and down losing elevation until life starts to appear and finally reach the beautiful village of Bimthang at an elevation of 3590 meters.

Day 17

Trek de Bimtang à Tilije (2300 mètres/7545 pieds) - 7 à 8 heures

Today's trek will bring you to lower altitudes. Descend to the greenery as you move downwards. Crossing various villages with grand views of the landscape reach Tilije. After a brief rest head out to explore the village. Visit the Tilije Gompa and attend to the monks chanting scared prayers and practicing rituals.



Day 18

Trekking de Tilije à Dharapani (1963 mètres/6440 pieds) - 1 ½ à 2 heures et route vers Besisahar (825 mètres/ 2706 pieds) - 2 à 3 heures, puis route de Besisahar à Katmandou - 5 à 6 heures.

After breakfast start the last day of the trek. Traversing on mostly downward sections past various villages and deep wilderness of the region. Along the way witness grand views of the landscape. Upon reaching Dharapani head on a short drive towards Besisahar. After a brief rest at Besisahar head on a long drive towards Kathmandu valley. Upon arriving at Kathmandu proceed towards your accommodation. In the evening join in for a farewell dinner program to mark the successful end of your trek.

Alpine Club of Himalaya is a trusted trekking and tour operator in Nepal (Registration No: 66893/066/067) dedicated to providing exceptional travel experiences. Our goal is to ensure your satisfaction with our travel and adventure services. Please review the following terms and conditions for booking with us.


General Booking Conditions


For trips in Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, a photocopy of your passport and a 20% deposit of the total trip cost are required to confirm your booking. This 20% deposit is non-refundable and will be used for hotel reservations, transportation, and trekking permits. The remaining balance is payable upon your arrival in Kathmandu before your tour starts.


Booking a Trip


* A 'trip' encompasses any itinerary or activities, including trekking, tours, expeditions, and other adventure programs that you purchase from us.

* The contract between Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. and the client is established only when we send a confirmation invoice or email to the customer.

* We reserve the right to adjust the prices of trips or tours before the booking is confirmed and the contract is finalized.


Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for any warranties, collateral agreements, prior agreements, or descriptions of services or conditions beyond those explicitly stated in this agreement.


Cancellation Policy


If you need to cancel your booking with the Alpine Club of Himalaya, please provide us with written notice. We will confirm the receipt of your cancellation request. The amount you will be charged for canceling will depend on how close to the departure date you make your request:


  • If you cancel 60 to 45 days or more before the scheduled departure, you will be charged 35% of the total tour cost.
  • If you cancel between 44 and 30 days before departure, you will be charged 50% of the total tour cost.
  • If you cancel between 29 and 15 days before departure, you will be charged 70% of the total tour cost.
  • If you cancel between 14 and 7 days before departure, you will be charged 85% of the total tour cost.
  • If you cancel less than 7 days before departure, you will be charged the full 100% of the total tour cost.


Please note, no refunds will be provided if you voluntarily drop out once the trip has begun or if you do not use any pre-paid services such as accommodation, transportation, or meals.


Cancellation by Alpine Club Of Himalaya  Pvt. Ltd.


Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any trip, including those guaranteed to operate, before departure due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, illness, quarantine, government restrictions, adverse weather, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, we will provide a refund of the trip price only. If a guaranteed trip is canceled, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or choose an alternative trip of equal value.

Significant alterations do not include changes to airline carriers, flight schedules, or itineraries, as long as departure and arrival dates remain the same. Changes in cabin category or hotel accommodation will be within the same category.

Please be aware that Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for any incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the client as a result of the booking. This includes costs such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail fares, parking fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.

Additionally, no refunds will be given if you choose to withdraw from the trip after it has commenced, or if you do not utilize any pre-paid services, including accommodation, transportation, or meals.


Last-Minute Booking


Last-minute bookings for Nepal trips are accepted up to one day before departure. Full payment is required immediately. Last-minute bookings for Bhutan and Tibet trips are not accepted.


Trip Postponement


If you need to postpone your trip, notify us in writing with your new departure date. We will transfer your reservations to the new date at no additional cost, unless there are changes in rates for the new date.


Medical Conditions and Special Requirements


If you have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. at the time of booking. This includes physical disabilities or any other conditions that may affect your ability to travel. Failure to disclose such conditions may lead to refusal of travel and potential forfeiture of your deposit or even the full trip cost.

Certain trips may not be suitable for clients based on age, physical conditions (such as mobility issues or pregnancy), or mental health. It is your responsibility to verify suitability before booking. Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. will not provide special accommodations unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. We will make every effort to accommodate special requests, including dietary preferences, but such requests are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contractual agreement.

Medical facilities and standards vary by country, and Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality of medical treatment available.


Travel Insurance


Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. It should cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, helicopter rescue, and other relevant risks. We recommend purchasing insurance from a reputable provider in your country.


Passport and Visa


Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained at the Nepalese Consulate or on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Visa costs are the client’s responsibility.


Flight Delays and Changes in Itinerary


Please be aware that mountain adventures are subject to unpredictable weather conditions. Bad weather in mountainous regions can lead to delays or cancellations of domestic flights. In such cases, Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will arrange accommodation (guesthouse) and provide meals (lunch and breakfast) if requested by the client. However, clients are responsible for covering any additional expenses, including those for extra food and accommodation. If you opt for alternative arrangements, such as a helicopter flight to bypass delays, you will be responsible for all associated costs.

Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for missed international flights. We will make every effort to assist with alternative arrangements where possible. Additionally, please note that changes to the itinerary may be necessary due to adverse weather conditions or other factors beyond our control during outdoor activities.


Payment Methods


Payments can be made via wire transfer or credit card.

Credit Card Payment


To pay by credit card (Mastercard or Visa), select your trip package, complete the required information on the “BOOK THIS TRIP” form, and pay the specified advance amount. You will receive an invoice and further instructions via email.


Physical Fitness


Good health is essential for a successful Himalayan adventure. Ensure you are physically and mentally prepared to tackle the demands of the trip. We prioritize your well-being and aim to make your journey with us unforgettable and enjoyable.


Guaranteed Departures


Once your trip is booked, we guarantee departure on the scheduled date, regardless of group size. Even if fewer participants join, we will proceed with the trip as planned. Our team at Alpine Club of Himalaya is committed to adhering to your schedule and ensuring a seamless experience.


Risk and Liability


We strive to provide exceptional service and a pleasant holiday experience. However, Alpine Club of Himalaya  Pvt. Ltd. and its affiliates are not responsible for itinerary changes due to unforeseen circumstances such as government restrictions, natural disasters, political unrest, flight cancellations, or other events beyond our control. Adventure trips inherently involve risks, and clients accept responsibility for any personal injuries, damages, or additional expenses that may arise.


Cost Adjustments


Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to adjust prices posted on our website due to unforeseen factors like exchange rate fluctuations or government actions. We strive to keep published prices accurate and offer seasonal discounts to match your budget and schedule.


Injuries and Evacuations


Our package costs do not include personal insurance. Alpine Club of Himalaya  is not liable for injuries or health issues during the trip. Clients should have their own insurance coverage.


Client Responsibilities


Our tour/trek leader has full authority during the trip. Any unlawful behavior may result in immediate removal from the tour, with no refund.


Publicity


We may use photos and videos of clients for promotional purposes on our website, but we respect privacy and will not disclose personal information.


Personal Belongings


While we take measures to ensure the safety of your belongings, Alpine Club of Himalaya   is not responsible for lost or damaged luggage or personal items during the trip.


Privacy


The information collected during the booking process is used solely for arranging permits and organizing your trip. We do not share or use your personal details for any other purposes or disclose them to third parties.


Missed or Unused Services


No discounts or refunds will be provided for missed or unused services. This includes situations such as voluntary or involuntary departure from the tour due to illness, family emergencies, late arrivals, or early departures, whether voluntary or involuntary.


Updating of Terms and Conditions


Alpine Club Of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to update and amend these terms and conditions at any time. Clients are responsible for staying informed about any changes.
