Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative from Alpine Club of Himalaya who will drop you off at our hotel. After checking in, you take a rest or stroll around the streets of Thamel, a tourist hub in Kathmandu. In the evening, join in for a welcome dinner hosted by the Alpine Club of Himalaya.

Le trek de la vallée de Barun commence après une visite détaillée de la vallée de Katmandou, où vous découvrirez diverses attractions et apprendrez à connaître la riche histoire et la culture de la population. Depuis Katmandou, prenez un vol pittoresque vers Tumlingtar, une ville située dans l'est du pays. Vous vous dirigez ensuite vers Chichira, le point de départ de votre trek. Depuis Chichira, vous traverserez une piste forestière pour atteindre le village de Num. En suivant les rapides de la puissante rivière Barun, vous atteindrez le parc national de Makalu Barun, puis Seduwa.

After breakfast, head on a guided tour of the valley towards various historical and spiritual attractions. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous "Monkey Temple" (Swayambhunath), and the Buddhist shrine of Bouddhanath, the largest stupas in the world. In the afternoon join in for a short briefing regarding the trip with your trekking leader and other team members.

Catch an early morning flight from Kathmandu domestic airport to Tumlingtar. A city perched between the Arun and Sabha Rivers. The flight takes you to the eastern part of the country and offers spectacular views of the snow-covered peaks of Ganesh Himal to Mt. Everest, Makalu, Mt. Kanchenjunga, and other endless rows of mountains.
Upon reaching Tumlingtar start your trek. Following the sub-tropical woodlands and terraced fields reach the village of Khadbari.

Start the trek following through terrace farms. As you progress the trail takes you across the lush deep wilderness and eventually to the village of Bhotebas. From here crossing sections of forested trails and agricultural fields reach Chichila.

Trek de Num à Seduwa (1500 mètres) Durée : 5-6 heures.
Start the trek following the tracks across terraced fields and small settlements. As you progress the tracks lead through dense sub-tropical woodlands. Traversing along the forested trail descend towards the rapids of the might Barun River. Eventually crossing the river couple of times you will enter the Makalu Barun National Park. After your permits are inspected at the park's entry gate follow the trail and eventually reach Seduwa.
Trek de Seduwa à Tashi Gaon (2100 mètres) Durée : 5-6 heures.
After breakfast head on the trail. The first section today takes you on a downward trail towards the Kasuwa Khola. After crossing the rapids follow the river network upstream and traverse across impenetrable jungles. Following ascending routes as you progress out of the canopy the trail then passes through agricultural fields and terrace farms. A brief walk and you will finally reach the pictorious village of Tashi Gaon. Upon reaching the village head out to catch grand views of the sunset and the Himalayas.
Trek de Tashi Gaon à Kahuma Danda (3500 mètres/ 11 482 pieds) Durée : 6-7 heures.
Start the trek following the trails across the wet hill forest of the region. Traversing on an uphill section reach the tiny settlement of Chipla Village perched on a hilltop. Next following through ridges and old-growth forest move to Kharka Village, a pasture land at an elevation of 2900 meters. From Kharaka head further towards the settlement of Unshisha. Next following a series of stairs on ascending routes proceed towards Dhara Kharka, a small grazing land at the top of the ridge. Then following the descending trail reach Kahuma Danda Village.
Trek de Kauma à Mumbuk (3570 mètres) Durée : 5-6 heures.
Today you will be crossing a mountain pass so start early. Following the ridge, section starts your trek. As, you gain altitude witness grand views of the twin peaks of Chamlang, Peak 6, and Peak 7. Next, ascending on a stone path reach a small lake. From here following the trail arrive at the base of the Kike La Pass. The climb to the pass is non-technical. Following the dry and dusty trail reach the top. From the top witness grand views of the landscapes. Then continuing on a descending trail following forested trails of rhododendron reach the tiny hamlet of Mumbuk.
Trek Mumbuk à Nehe Kharka (3750 mètres/12 303 pieds) Durée : 6-7 heures.
Start today's trek following through the narrow valley on a descending trail. As you progress you will be traversing along the banks of the mighty Barun River. Next cross the rapids and head on an uphill track through rhododendron, birch, and oaks woodlands to Yangri Kharka, a summer settlement of the region.
Then the trails lead you up the Yangri Kharka village and yet again cross the rapids of Barun River. Traversing along the northern banks of the river eventually reach Nehe Kharka. After a brief rest head out to explore the region. Visit various Gompas and witness grand panoramic views of the snowcapped mountains and endless hills.
Trek de Nehe Kharka à Sherson (4600 mètres/ 15 091 pieds) Durée : 5-6 heures.
Following the northern bank of the Barun River start the trek. As you progress cross the rapids over a wooden bridge and follow the track across a Rocky River bed. Then move towards Ripok Kharka a high alpine pasture land of the region. Next head towards Sherson, which is marked by a Mani wall. Along this section witness grand views of Pyramid Peak, Chamlang Peak 3, 4, and 5.
Upon reaching Sherson head towards your accommodation. Later head out to explore the area and bask in the views of the sunset. Makalu’s south face, Mt. Baruntse, and other peaks change their colors according to the rays of the sun.
Acclimatation à Sherson
Today is your day for acclimatization, as you ascend higher, your body must acclimate to the thinner air at greater elevations. The village has various vantage points perfect for an acclimatization hike. Head towards any vantage point before dawn and witness mesmerizing views of the sunrise over the Himalayas. The mountain peaks of Makalu, Barun Pokhari, Kangshung face of Everest, and Lhotse stand at their grandeur. Later stroll around the village starting conversations with the locals and exploring the region.

Today's trek is short but takes you to a higher elevation. So take it slow and have frequent rest. Traversing across the dusty and dry mountain country head towards the isolated Barun-Che Base Camp nestled at the lower end of the Barun Glacier and several small glacial lakes. Upon arriving at the base camp after a brief rest head on a short hike above the camp following the moraines. From the top witness splendid views of Mt. Makalu, the eastern sides of Mt. Lhotse, Mt.Everest, and endless other mountain peaks, icefalls, and glaciers.

Traversing across loose rock and dry dusty trails start the trek. As you progress follow the inclined tracks and reach below the towering giant of the Makalu west. Next, walk alongside the western side of the Barun Glacier and come across a valley. Following the rocky trails, crossing glaciers and moraines eventually reach Puja Camp below Mt. Makalu’s West Pillar. From the camp witness grand views of Lhotse and the Kangshung face of Mt. Everest.
Trek High Camp (5700 mètres/ pieds) Durée : 5-6 heures.
Wake up before dawn and witness the grand views of the sunrise. After breakfast starts your trek following the rugged tracks of the Barun River's western bank. As you progress following the steep trials you will reach a point marked by several cairns. From here head down towards the valley. After a brief descent, you will come across two small glaciers originating from the Sherpani Col. Crossing the glacier and following the downward track reach the bottom of the glacier to High Camp.
Repos pour acclimatation.
Today is your second day of acclimatization. Wake up early and bask in the views of the sunrise. After breakfast heads towards any vantage point and witness grand views of the landscapes. Later stroll around the high camp and relax with the splendid views of the mountains.
Camp sur la moraine (5640 mètres/ pieds) via le col Sherpani (6115 mètres/ pieds) 7-8 heures.
Today's trail takes you to the most awaited location of the trek. Start before dawn as the mountain weather may deteriorate as the day progresses. Following the tracks along the base of the Sherpani Glacier start the trek. As you progress on the trail you will be traversing across snow-covered slopes. In this section at some points, fixed ropes are used. Next, cross the West Col using fixed ropes and a few glaciers. After crossing the glacier head towards the summit. from the top enjoy the panoramic views around. The Baruntse's icy falls to the north, the towering peaks of Makalu, the wall of Chamlang to the south, the pictorious peak of Ama Dablam in the west, and several other peaks, lakes, and glaciers of the region.
After a brief rest at the summit head on a descending trail using fixed ropes across Hongu Glacier and down to the moraine camp.

Today ascend to Amphu Laptsa and then follow the trail toward Hongu Basin. From here head towards Panch Pokhari. Upon reaching Panch Pokhari relax soaking in the views of the region.
Trek de Panch Pokhari (5480 mètres/ pieds) au camp de base d'Amphu Labtsa (5650 mètres/ pieds) Durée : 6-7 heures.
After breakfast start the trek towards the Amphu Labtsa Base Camp. Traversing across mountain country head following the dusty and stony tracks. As you gain altitude at some section you will be using fixed ropes. Progressing on the trail descend towards Imjatse Valley and finally to Amphu Labtsa Base Camp.

Today's trek takes you crossing a high mountain pass of Amphu Labtsa Pass. The climb to the pass needs technical mountaineering skills. Traversing across moraines, glaciers and snow-covered sections reach the top of the pass. From the summit witness never like before views. The south face of Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Island Peak, and endless other mountain peaks with icefalls and glaciers.
After a brief rest descend from the pass using ropes and an ice axe. Once you descend down to a relatively easy landscape head towards Chhukung.
Trek de Chhukung à Tengboche (3867 mètres) Durée : 4-5 heures.
Today's trek is mostly on a downwards section and takes you across the beauty of the Khumbu region. Descending the high trail above the Imja Khola, crossing the Imja Khola and glacial moraines reach Dingboche. Next progress along lush woodlands and descend to Tengboche, a village with a panoramic 360-degree view of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.
Upon reaching Tengboche head towards Tengboche monastery which is the largest monastery in the Everest region. The monastery nestles at the backdrop of beautiful snowy peaks. The monastery opens at 3 pm. Explore the monastery and start conversations with the monks. If you are lucky, you might just be able to witness a cultural ceremony.
Trek de Tyangboche à Namche Bazaar (3430 mètres) Durée : 5-6 heures.
Today we trek for four to five hours heading through rhododendron, pine, and juniper forests and then cross a suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. We continue on and follow the trail to Sanasa Village and then to Namche Bazaar where we will stay the night.
Trek de Namche Bazaar à Lukla (2800 mètres) Durée : 7-8 heures.
From Tengboche, traverse along the hillside blanketed with rhododendron and juniper trees. After crossing the prayer flag festooned bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, follow the Dudh Koshi gorge descending rapidly through the lush pine forests before reaching Sansa, which is a major trail junction in the region. From here the trail clings to the steep wooded slope, winding through several bends. After passing a Chorten, and an army camp you will reach the settlement of Namche Bazaar.
Next, traversing along the forested trail crossing several suspension bridges reach the hilltop settlement of Lukla.
Vol de retour pour Katmandou.
Catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu after the long mountain journey. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you can take a rest or do some souvenir shopping. If you wish to explore any other areas of Kathmandu, we will do it today. Our guides can help you with both souvenir shopping and sightseeing. To celebrate the successful completion of your journey, attend a farewell dinner program in the evening.

General Booking Conditions
Deposit Policy
For trips to Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, a photocopy of your passport and a 35% deposit of the total trip cost are required to confirm your booking.
This 35% deposit is non-refundable and is used to secure hotel reservations, transportation, trekking permits, and other advance arrangements.
The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu, prior to the commencement of the tour.
Booking a Trip
* A 'trip' encompasses any itinerary or activities, including trekking, tours, expeditions, and other adventure programs that you purchase from us.
* The contract between Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. and the client is established only when we send a confirmation invoice or email to the customer.
* We reserve the right to adjust the prices of trips or tours before the booking is confirmed and the contract is finalized.
Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for any warranties, collateral agreements, prior agreements, or descriptions of services or conditions beyond those explicitly stated in this agreement.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your booking with the Alpine Club of Himalaya, please provide us with written notice. We will confirm the receipt of your cancellation request. The amount you will be charged for canceling will depend on how close to the departure date you make your request:
• 60 days or more before departure:
A non-refundable cancellation fee of 35% of the total tour cost will apply.
• 45 to 59 days before departure:
40% of the total tour cost will be charged.
• 30 to 44 days before departure:
50% of the total tour cost will be charged.
• 15 to 29 days before departure:
70% of the total tour cost will be charged.
• 7 to 14 days before departure:
85% of the total tour cost will be charged.
• Less than 7 days before departure:
100% of the total tour cost will be charged.
Please note, no refunds will be provided if you voluntarily drop out once the trip has begun or if you do not use any pre-paid services such as accommodation, transportation, or meals.
Cancellation by Alpine Club Of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd.
Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any trip, including those guaranteed to operate, before departure due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, illness, quarantine, government restrictions, adverse weather, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, we will provide a refund of the trip price only. If a guaranteed trip is canceled, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or choose an alternative trip of equal value.
Significant alterations do not include changes to airline carriers, flight schedules, or itineraries, as long as departure and arrival dates remain the same. Changes in cabin category or hotel accommodation will be within the same category.
Please be aware that Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for any incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the client as a result of the booking. This includes costs such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail fares, parking fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.
Additionally, no refunds will be given if you choose to withdraw from the trip after it has commenced, or if you do not utilize any pre-paid services, including accommodation, transportation, or meals.
Last-Minute Booking
Last-minute bookings for Nepal trips are accepted up to one day before departure. Full payment is required immediately. Last-minute bookings for Bhutan and Tibet trips are not accepted.
Trip Postponement
If you need to postpone your trip, notify us in writing with your new departure date. We will transfer your reservations to the new date at no additional cost, unless there are changes in rates for the new date.
Medical Conditions and Special Requirements
If you have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. at the time of booking. This includes physical disabilities or any other conditions that may affect your ability to travel. Failure to disclose such conditions may lead to refusal of travel and potential forfeiture of your deposit or even the full trip cost.
Certain trips may not be suitable for clients based on age, physical conditions (such as mobility issues or pregnancy), or mental health. It is your responsibility to verify suitability before booking. Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will not provide special accommodations unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. We will make every effort to accommodate special requests, including dietary preferences, but such requests are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contractual agreement.
Medical facilities and standards vary by country, and Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality of medical treatment available.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. It should cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, helicopter rescue, and other relevant risks. We recommend purchasing insurance from a reputable provider in your country.
Passport and Visa
Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained at the Nepalese Consulate or on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Visa costs are the client’s responsibility.
Flight Delays and Changes in Itinerary
Please be aware that mountain adventures are subject to unpredictable weather conditions. Bad weather in mountainous regions can lead to delays or cancellations of domestic flights. In such cases, Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will arrange accommodation (guesthouse) and provide meals (lunch and breakfast) if requested by the client. However, clients are responsible for covering any additional expenses, including those for extra food and accommodation. If you opt for alternative arrangements, such as a helicopter flight to bypass delays, you will be responsible for all associated costs.
Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for missed international flights. We will make every effort to assist with alternative arrangements where possible. Additionally, please note that changes to the itinerary may be necessary due to adverse weather conditions or other factors beyond our control during outdoor activities.

Payments can be made via wire transfer or credit card.

To pay by credit card (Mastercard or Visa), select your trip package, complete the required information on the “BOOK THIS TRIP” form, and pay the specified advance amount. You will receive an invoice and further instructions via email.

Guaranteed Departures
Once your trip is booked, we guarantee departure on the scheduled date, regardless of group size. Even if fewer participants join, we will proceed with the trip as planned. Our team at Alpine Club of Himalaya is committed to adhering to your schedule and ensuring a seamless experience.
Risk and Liability
We strive to provide exceptional service and a pleasant holiday experience. However, Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. and its affiliates are not responsible for itinerary changes due to unforeseen circumstances such as government restrictions, natural disasters, political unrest, flight cancellations, or other events beyond our control. Adventure trips inherently involve risks, and clients accept responsibility for any personal injuries, damages, or additional expenses that may arise.
Cost Adjustments
Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to adjust prices posted on our website due to unforeseen factors like exchange rate fluctuations or government actions. We strive to keep published prices accurate and offer seasonal discounts to match your budget and schedule.
Injuries and Evacuations
Our package costs do not include personal insurance. Alpine Club of Himalaya is not liable for injuries or health issues during the trip. Clients should have their own insurance coverage.
Client Responsibilities
Our tour/trek leader has full authority during the trip. Any unlawful behavior may result in immediate removal from the tour, with no refund.
Publicity
We may use photos and videos of clients for promotional purposes on our website, but we respect privacy and will not disclose personal information.
Personal Belongings
While we take measures to ensure the safety of your belongings, Alpine Club of Himalaya is not responsible for lost or damaged luggage or personal items during the trip.
Privacy
The information collected during the booking process is used solely for arranging permits and organizing your trip. We do not share or use your personal details for any other purposes or disclose them to third parties.
Missed or Unused Services
No discounts or refunds will be provided for missed or unused services. This includes situations such as voluntary or involuntary departure from the tour due to illness, family emergencies, late arrivals, or early departures, whether voluntary or involuntary.
Updating of Terms and Conditions
Alpine Club Of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to update and amend these terms and conditions at any time. Clients are responsible for staying informed about any changes. The most current version of the terms and conditions will be available on our website at www.alpineclubofhimalaya.com and will be applicable in the event of any disputes.
