Itinéraire

Le Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek permet de vivre une expérience plus sauvage sur les sentiers isolés et décalés du Népal. Le Dhaulagiri, le septième plus haut sommet niché dans la partie occidentale du pays, est bordé au sud par le Tibet. À l'est, la majestueuse chaîne de l'Himalaya des Annapurnas avec l'Annapurna I qui culmine à 8 091 mètres. Le Dhaulagiri I s'élève à une altitude de 7 000 mètres. De la rivière Kali Gandaki à 30 km au sud-est. Les pics sud et ouest s'élèvent à plus de 4 000 mètres. La face sud est constituée du Gurja Himal.


Le Dhaulagiri comprend le Dhaulagiri II - 7 751 mètres / 25 430 pieds, le Dhaulagiri III - 7 715 mètres / 25 311 pieds. Dhaulagiri IV - 7 661 mètres / 25 135 pieds, Dhaulagiri V - 7 618 mètres / 24 992 pieds. Le trek du circuit du Dhaulagiri vous fait traverser une jungle impénétrable et mystérieuse, divers réseaux de rivières, des prairies alpines, des vallées stériles, des cols de haute montagne, des glaciers et des moraines, avec des vues rapprochées de plusieurs sommets de plus de 8 000 mètres. Le trekking du circuit Dhaulagiri commence par un vol panoramique de Katmandou à Pokhara. Une fois arrivé à Pokhara, prenez la route en direction de Darbang. Ensuite, vous vous dirigez vers Sibang en traversant des collines luxuriantes couvertes d'une nature sauvage profonde. Le long de ce sentier, vous aurez une vue imprenable sur le massif du Dhaulagiri, le Gurja Himal et le Putha Hiunchuli. En suivant les sentiers de la vallée de Myagdi Khola, vous traversez des fermes en terrasse et des habitations clairsemées pour atteindre le minuscule village de Muri. Camp de base du Dhaulagiri

Vous rejoindrez ensuite le camp de base du Dhaulagiri en traversant la moraine latérale du glacier du Dhaulagiri. Depuis le camp de base, vous aurez une vue extraordinaire sur le Dhaulagiri, le Mana Pathi Peak et d'autres montagnes et pics sans nom qui entourent la région. Après avoir exploré les environs du camp de base et profité des vues grandioses sur les montagnes à l'aube et au crépuscule, partez pour la vallée cachée de l'autre côté du Dhaulagiri. Le trekking vous fait traverser un col de haute montagne, le French Pass, qui offre une vue à 360 degrés sur les chaînes de montagnes environnantes. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you’ll be greeted by a representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya. After check-in, take a rest or stroll around the streets of Thamel. In the evening, join in for a welcome dinner hosted by the Alpine Club of Himalaya, where you will be served delicious authentic Nepalese cuisine and get to know our Nepalese food culture.

Day 2

Katmandou pour les visites et la préparation du trek

After breakfast, head on a guided tour to various historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple, and the Buddhist shrine of Boudhanath which is one of the largest stupas in the world. Later in the evening attend a pre-trip discussion where you will meet your trek leader and other team members. It is an opportunity to ask any questions regarding the trek.

Day 3

Vol de Katmandou à Pokhara et route vers Darbang (1100 mètres).

Catch an early morning flight to Pokhara. The flight is scenic providing grand views of the Mahabharat hills and the greater Himalayan range. Upon landing at Pokhara after a brief rest head on towards Darbang. The drive takes to down into the Kali Gandaki Valley and up the tributary of the Myagdi Khola valley.

Day 4

Trek de Darbang à Sibang (1 770 mètres)

Start the trek crossing terrace farms and several villages, as you progress you will reach Dharapani situated on top of a ridge. Next following ridgelines and crossing sections of lush, forested trails and villages finally reach Sibang.

Duration: 5-6 hours

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 5

Trek de Sibang à Muri (1 850 mètres)

Following ascending, trails on ridge sections start the trek. As you progress descend down to the riverside. Next following the trail cross multiple suspension bridges and reach the tiny settlement of Muri. Along the trail witness grand views of the deep wilderness of the valley. Upon reaching Muri head out to explore the region.

Duration: 5-6 hours

Day 6

Trek de Muri à Boghara (2 414 mètres)

After breakfast head towards the trail. Start by following an ascending route towards the ridge. As you progress the trail descends to Juge Pani. Next, ascend along a steep trail covered with impenetrable jungle high above the valley. Witness grand views of landscape along this section. Eventually traversing on cliff edges reach Boghara Village.

Duration: 5-6 hours

Day 7

Trek de Boghara à Dobang (2 520 mètres)

Following terrace farms and lush cultivated lands start your trek. As you progress on the trail traverse along ridge sections to reach Lipshe Village. From here the trail takes you across lush bamboo and dense rhododendron forest. Following the forested trail for about two to three hours you will finally reach Dobang Village.


Maximum Altitude: 2520m

Duration: 6-7 hours

Day 8

Trek de Dobang au camp de base italien (3 660 mètres)

Following the mighty Myagdi Khola rapids, crossing over wooden bridges and uneven trails start the trek. As you progress ascend through thick bamboo forests and untouched woodlands. Along this section keep an eye out as you may witness the wildlife of the region.

Following the trail, you will eventually reach Sallaghari where you will stop for lunch. After lunch continue climbing up through high mountain country. Traversing across the arid landscape with patches of shrub and dwarf junipers. Following the trail for about two to three hours reach the Italy Base Camp. From the camp witness grand views of the Himalayas. Later enjoy the views of the sunset from the porch of your teahouse. From the base camp witness grand views of Dhaulagiri II (7,751m), Dhaulagiri III (7,715m), and Dhaulagiri V (7,618m).

Day 9

Acclimatation : Explorez le camp de base américain (3 660 mètres).

Today is your day for acclimatization, as you ascend higher, your body must acclimate to the thinner air at greater elevations. The region has various vantage points perfect for an acclimatization hike. Hike around Italy Base Camp or climb a small ridge to the American Base Camp. Dhaulagiri peak is not visible from here but witnesses the marvelous views of the Dhaulagiri Massif.

Head towards any vantage point before dawn and witness mesmerizing views of the sunrise over the Himalayas.

Day 10

Trek du camp de base italien au camp de base suisse (3 730 mètres/ 12 237 pieds)

Today’s trek is short and relatively easy. Leave Italy Base Camp following straight trails, as you progress you will come across several memorials of climbers who perished while attempting to climb Dhaulagiri. Gaining altitude next cross the moraine towards the Swiss Base Camp. In this section, you will be using fixed ropes on some sections. Upon reaching Swiss Base Camp head out to explore the region and soak in the splendid views of the sunset.

Day 11

Trek du camp de base suisse au camp de base japonais (4 300 mètres/ 14 107 pieds) Durée : 4-5 heures.

Following a narrow gorge surrounded by fragile rocky cliffs with sheer drops head towards Japanese Base Camp. In this section take extra caution. As you progress out of this section you will come across a moraine. Traversing on descending routes on moraines you will finally reach Japanese Base Camp, a trek of another four to five hours.

Day 12

Trek du camp japonais au camp de base du Dhaulagiri (4 748 mètres/ 15 577 pieds)

Today's trek is long and challenging. Following the tracks across the lateral moraine of the Dhaulagiri glacier, traversing on rocky surface head towards the Base Camp. Upon reaching base camp witness grand views of the landscape surrounded by rings of Himalayas, icefalls, and glaciers descending from the Dhaulagiri and Tukuche Peak ridgeline.

Day 13

Repos et acclimatation au camp de base du Dhaulagiri.

Today is your second day of acclimatization. Explore around the base camp and head towards any vantage point to catch grand views of the mountains during dawn and dusk.

Day 14

Today’s trek will take you traversing higher altitudes. As some may feel uncomfortable at higher elevations take slow and have frequent rest. Start the trek traversing the north side of Chhondarban Glacier, and gradually climb the steep hillside above the glacier. Next, continue across the meandering tracks of the moraines. As you gain altitude you will reach the summit of the French Pass, from here witness a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountain ranges. Then following the downward trail, you will eventually reach the Hidden Valley on the other side of Dhaulagiri.

Day 15

Trek de Hidden Valley à Yak Kharka via le col de Dhampus (5 280 mètres/ 17 322 pieds) (3 837 mètres/ 12 588 pieds)

Today you will be crossing another high mountain pass. Ascending on ridges and hilltops reach the summit of the French Pass at the other end of the valley. Next following the downward trails head to Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is high alpine pastureland. Upon reaching the region head out to explore around.

Day 16

Trek de Yak Kharka à Jomsom (2 736 mètres)

Today the trail descends for about 1000 meters to the Kali Gandaki Valley and towards the attractive village of Marpha nestled at an elevation of 2667 meters on the Annapurna Circuit trekking trail. Witness grand views of the Dhaulagiri Peak in the southwest, Annapurna and Nilgiri in the east, and far off Mustang in the north as well as the deepest gorge on earth - the Kali Gandaki Valley. From Marpha after a short trek, you will eventually reach Jomsom.

Day 17

Vol de Jomsom à Pokhara (Durée : 30 minutes)

After breakfast head towards the Jomsom airport and catch a flight to Pokhara which takes around 30 minutes. On the flight witness grand views of the landscapes flying parallel to the mountain ranges. Upon reaching Pokhara head on a guided tour of the city.

Day 18

Vol de Pokhara à Katmandou (Durée : 30 minutes)

After breakfast, head towards the airport and catch a flight towards Kathmandu. Witness views of the Himalayas and green lush hills. Upon reaching Kathmandu head towards your accommodation. Later in the evening join in for a farewell dinner program to mark the end of your adventure.

General Booking Conditions

Deposit Policy

For trips to Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, a photocopy of your passport and a 35% deposit of the total trip cost are required to confirm your booking.

This 35% deposit is non-refundable and is used to secure hotel reservations, transportation, trekking permits, and other advance arrangements.

The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu, prior to the commencement of the tour.

Booking a Trip

* A 'trip' encompasses any itinerary or activities, including trekking, tours, expeditions, and other adventure programs that you purchase from us.

* The contract between Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. and the client is established only when we send a confirmation invoice or email to the customer.

* We reserve the right to adjust the prices of trips or tours before the booking is confirmed and the contract is finalized.

Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for any warranties, collateral agreements, prior agreements, or descriptions of services or conditions beyond those explicitly stated in this agreement.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking with the Alpine Club of Himalaya, please provide us with written notice. We will confirm the receipt of your cancellation request. The amount you will be charged for canceling will depend on how close to the departure date you make your request:

A non-refundable cancellation fee of 35% of the total tour cost will apply.

•⁠  ⁠45 to 59 days before departure:

40% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠30 to 44 days before departure:

50% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠15 to 29 days before departure:

70% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠7 to 14 days before departure:

85% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠Less than 7 days before departure:

100% of the total tour cost will be charged.

Please note, no refunds will be provided if you voluntarily drop out once the trip has begun or if you do not use any pre-paid services such as accommodation, transportation, or meals.

Cancellation by Alpine Club Of Himalaya  Pvt. Ltd.

Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any trip, including those guaranteed to operate, before departure due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, illness, quarantine, government restrictions, adverse weather, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, we will provide a refund of the trip price only. If a guaranteed trip is canceled, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or choose an alternative trip of equal value.

Significant alterations do not include changes to airline carriers, flight schedules, or itineraries, as long as departure and arrival dates remain the same. Changes in cabin category or hotel accommodation will be within the same category.

Please be aware that Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for any incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the client as a result of the booking. This includes costs such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail fares, parking fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.

Additionally, no refunds will be given if you choose to withdraw from the trip after it has commenced, or if you do not utilize any pre-paid services, including accommodation, transportation, or meals.

Last-Minute Booking

­ 

Last-minute bookings for Nepal trips are accepted up to one day before departure. Full payment is required immediately. Last-minute bookings for Bhutan and Tibet trips are not accepted.

Trip Postponement

­ 

If you need to postpone your trip, notify us in writing with your new departure date. We will transfer your reservations to the new date at no additional cost, unless there are changes in rates for the new date.

Medical Conditions and Special Requirements

If you have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. at the time of booking. This includes physical disabilities or any other conditions that may affect your ability to travel. Failure to disclose such conditions may lead to refusal of travel and potential forfeiture of your deposit or even the full trip cost.

Certain trips may not be suitable for clients based on age, physical conditions (such as mobility issues or pregnancy), or mental health. It is your responsibility to verify suitability before booking. Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. will not provide special accommodations unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. We will make every effort to accommodate special requests, including dietary preferences, but such requests are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contractual agreement.

Medical facilities and standards vary by country, and Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality of medical treatment available.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. It should cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, helicopter rescue, and other relevant risks. We recommend purchasing insurance from a reputable provider in your country.

Passport and Visa

­ 

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained at the Nepalese Consulate or on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Visa costs are the client’s responsibility.

Flight Delays and Changes in Itinerary

­ 

Please be aware that mountain adventures are subject to unpredictable weather conditions. Bad weather in mountainous regions can lead to delays or cancellations of domestic flights. In such cases, Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will arrange accommodation (guesthouse) and provide meals (lunch and breakfast) if requested by the client. However, clients are responsible for covering any additional expenses, including those for extra food and accommodation. If you opt for alternative arrangements, such as a helicopter flight to bypass delays, you will be responsible for all associated costs.

Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for missed international flights. We will make every effort to assist with alternative arrangements where possible. Additionally, please note that changes to the itinerary may be necessary due to adverse weather conditions or other factors beyond our control during outdoor activities.
