Itinéraire

Camp de base du Dhaulagiri : Le Dhaulagiri est la septième plus haute montagne du monde, avec une altitude de 8 167 mètres (26 795 pieds) au-dessus du niveau de la mer. C'est la plus haute montagne à l'intérieur des frontières d'un seul pays. Simple, propre et authentique. Le trekking vous emmène dans une partie du Népal à laquelle vous ne pensez pas lorsque vous planifiez un trekking. En l'absence de tourisme, le trek vous emmène dans des paysages dépourvus de toute forme de commercialisation. Au pied de l'Himalaya, vous naviguerez à travers la jungle, suivrez des rivières, traverserez des moraines et des cols jusqu'au camp de base du Dhaulagiri. Un grand territoire avec très peu d'habitants accrochés à flanc de montagne, dans les pics glacés de l'Himalaya.


Vue d'ensemble :

Commencez l'aventure par une visite guidée de la vallée de Katmandou, en explorant les différentes attractions des environs. Le lendemain, partez pour un long trajet en voiture à travers des collines luxuriantes et des réseaux de rivières jusqu'à Beni. Cette ville est située au confluent de la rivière Kali Gandaki et de la rivière Myagdi, à une altitude de 899 mètres. Beni est le point de départ de votre trek, d'où vous suivrez la rivière Kali Gandaki en amont jusqu'à Babiachor. Ensuite, en traversant des vallées couvertes d'une profonde nature sauvage, vous atteindrez Dharapani. Vous atteindrez ensuite le village de Muri.


De Muri, en montant le long des crêtes et des falaises, vous atteindrez Boghara. Continuez ensuite jusqu'au village de Dobang. Ensuite, en observant l'Himalaya et en suivant les réseaux fluviaux, vous vous dirigez vers le minuscule hameau de Choriban Khola. Le sentier suit ensuite les moraines à la base du glacier de Chhonbarban jusqu'au camp de base italien. Depuis le camp de base, vous aurez une vue splendide sur le massif du Dhaulagiri et d'autres sommets.

Après l'acclimatation, une excursion permet d'explorer le camp de base et de visiter divers points d'observation en direction du camp de glacier. Le lendemain, vous traversez la moraine latérale du glacier du Dhaulagiri et vous vous dirigez vers le camp de base. En arrivant au camp de base, vous découvrirez des vues comme vous n'en avez jamais vues auparavant. La face nord du Dhaulagiri I domine l'horizon. À l'ouest, le Dhaulagiri II, à 7751 mètres, le Dhaulagiri III, à 7715 mètres, et le Dhaulagiri V, à 7618 mètres, se dressent dans toute leur grandeur.


Après avoir exploré le camp de base et s'être imprégné des vues grandioses des montagnes, partez pour la vallée cachée de l'autre côté du Dhaulagiri. Le trekking vous fait traverser un col de haute montagne, le French Pass, qui offre une vue à 360 degrés sur les chaînes de montagnes environnantes. Franchissez ensuite un autre col, le Dhampus Pass, qui mène à Yak Kharka, l'alpage le plus haut de la région.

Day 1

Arrivée à Katmandou (1400 mètres)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative from the Alpine Club of Himalaya. After check-in, take a rest or stroll around the streets of Thamel. In the evening, join in for a welcome dinner hosted by the Alpine Club of Himalaya, where you will be served delicious authentic Nepalese cuisine and get to know our Nepalese food culture.

Day 2

Katmandou pour les visites et la préparation du trek

After breakfast, head on a guided tour to various historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath known as ‘Monkey Temple, and the Buddhist shrine of Boudhanath which is one of the largest stupas in the world. Later in the evening attend a pre-trip discussion where you will meet your trek leader and other team members. It is an opportunity to ask any questions regarding the trek.

Day 3

Route de Katmandou à Beni (8,50 mètres/ 2,788 pieds)

Early morning head on a long drive towards Beni. Following the winding roads of the Prithvi Highway passing several settlements dotted along riverside and hilltops reach Pokhara. Next traversing along the northern roads proceed to Beni. Upon reaching Beni head towards your accommodation.

Duration: 6-7 hours

Day 4

Trek de Beni à Babiachor (9,50 mètres)

Following the Kali Gandaki River upstream start your trek. Traversing along the lush section of woodland eventually head along the northern side of the Myagdi Khola. After crossing a bridge on the southern bank of the river head on an uphill trek. As you progress you will finally reach the Babiachor.


Maximum Altitude: 950m

Duration: 5-6 hours

Day 5

Trek de Babiachor à Dharapani (1 400 mètres) Durée : 5-6 heures.

After breakfast head into the trail traversing along riverbanks. As you progress reach the village of Shahashradhara. Following the valley covered with deep wilderness cross the rapids of the Duk Khola. As you progress reach the tiny settlement of Ratorunga. From here the valley becomes narrow. Following the ascending trails reach Dharapani. A village nestled in the middle of lush woodlands.

Day 6

Trek de Dharapani à Muri (1 800 mètres)

Traversing across the rich wilderness of the region move towards the village of Sibang and Mattim. Along this section witnesses grand views of the landscapes. Next, descend to the settlement of Gatti Khola and Phalai Gaon. From here cross the rapids of Dhara Khola onto the west bank of the Myagdi Khola, then traversing across mysterious jungles descend to the village of Muri.

Duration: 5-6 hours

Day 7

Trek de Muri à Boghara (2 414 mètres)

Start the trek ascending along the ridge section. From here witness grand views of the landscapes. As you progress the trail descends to Juge Pani. Again, the trail leads you along ridges with steep trails high above the valley. Following cliff edges and sheer drops eventually reach Boghara.

Duration: 5-6 hours

Day 8

Trek de Boghara à Dobang (2 520 mètres)

Following the lush, cultivated fields start your trek. As you progress on the trail you will be traversing along ridge sections. From here witness splendid views of the landscapes. Next, the trail becomes relatively easy and leads you to the tiny village of Lipshe. Traversing along thick and dense woodlands with miles of undergrowth finally reach Dobang Village.


Maximum Altitude: 2520m

Duration: 5-6 hours

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 9

Trek de Dobang à Choriban Khola (3 110 mètres)

After breakfast head into the trail. Start by traversing across the lush woodland of the region. As you progress cross a wooden bridge and start traversing through the deep wilderness. Gaining altitude witness the grand views of the west face of Dhaulagiri I at an elevation of 8167 meters. Then head on a downhill section leading to the Myagdi Khola and continue to Chartare Village. After a brief walk from the village reach Choriban Khola.


Maximum Altitude: 3110m

Duration: 5-6 hours

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day 10

Trek de Choriban Khola au camp de base italien (3 660 mètres).

Traverse across high mountain country following moraines at the base of the Chhonbarban Glacier. Crossing the glacier witness grand views of Tukuche Peak at 6837meters sight ahead

to the right the magnificent north flank of Dhaulagiri I at 8167 meters. Traversing across moraines and rocky surfaces with loose terrain reach Italian Base Camp. From the base camp witness splendid views of Dhaulagiri II (7751m), Dhaulagiri III (7715m), and Dhaulagiri V (7618m).

Day 11

Acclimatation et repos au camp de base italien.

Today is your day for acclimatization, as you ascend higher, your body must acclimate to the thinner air at greater elevations. The region has various vantage points perfect for an acclimatization hike. Hike around Italy Base Camp or climb a small ridge to the American Base Camp. Dhaulagiri peak is not visible from here but witnesses the marvelous views of the Dhaulagiri Massif.

Head towards any vantage point before dawn and witness mesmerizing views of the sunrise over the Himalayas.



Day 12

Trek du camp de base italien au camp du glacier (4 210 mètres).

Today’s trek gains in altitude so take it slow and have frequent rests. Following through a narrow gorge having sheer cliffs and drops head towards Glacier Camp. Take extra caution on this section as it is prone to landslides. Crossing moraines, stony terrains reach the Glacier Camp. From here witness grand views of the landscapes and the Himalayas.

Day 13

Trek du camp des glaciers au camp de base du Dhaulagiri (4 740 mètres)

Today's trek is long and challenging. Following the tracks across the lateral moraine of the Dhaulagiri glacier head towards the base camp. The climb is tuff so take it slow and have frequent rest. Upon reaching the base camp witness grand views of the Himalayas. The north face of Dhaulagiri I at 8167 meters dominates the skyline. In the west Dhaulagiri II at 7751 meters, Dhaulagiri III at 7715 meters, and Dhaulagiri V at 7618 meters stand in all their grandeur. Various glaciers and icefalls descend from enormous peaks. Also, soak in the grand views during sunset.

Day 14

Repos et acclimatation au camp de base du Dhaulagiri.

Today is your second day of acclimatization. Explore around the base camp and head towards any vantage point to catch grand views of the mountains during dawn and dusk.



Day 15

Trek du camp de base du Dhaulagiri à Hidden Valley (5 120 m) via French Pass (5 360 m).

A six to seven-hour trek is ahead of us today, and due to the higher altitude will be physically more demanding. We begin by crossing a moraine and then reach a ridge that heads up to the snowy slopes heading up to French Pass. We cross the pass and head into the Hidden Valley on the other side of Dhaulagiri where we make camp for the night.

Day 16

Trek de Hidden Valley à Yak Kharka (3 837 mètres/ 12 588 pieds) via Dhampus Pass (5 280 mètres/ 17 322 pieds).

Today you will be crossing another high mountain pass. Ascending on ridges and hilltops reach the summit of the French Pass at the other end of the valley. Next following the downward trails head to Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is high alpine pastureland. Upon reaching the region head out to explore around.

Day 17

Trek de Yak Kharka à Jomsom (2 736 mètres)

The trek of five hours today has some memorable views of Dhaulagiri Peak in the southwest, Annapurna and Nilgiri in the east, and far off Mustang in the north as well as the deepest gorge on earth - the Kali Gandaki Valley. The trail is fairly easy going until we get nearer to Yak Kharka when it descends rapidly to Marpha Village where we can stop for lunch. After lunch, we continue to Jomsom where we stay the night in a lodge.

Day 18

Vol de Jomsom à Pokhara (8,50 mètres/ 2,788 pieds)

After breakfast head towards the Jomsom airport and catch a flight to Pokhara which takes around 30 minutes. On the flight witness grand views of the landscapes flying parallel to the mountain ranges. Dhaulagiri Peak in the southwest, Annapurna and Nilgiri in the east, and far off Mustang in the north as well as the deepest gorge on earth - the Kali Gandaki Valley.


Upon reaching Pokhara head on a guided tour of the city. Later stroll by the banks of Phewa lake and visit various pubs and restaurants in the region.

Day 19

Route de Pokhara à Katmandou (1400 mètres)

After breakfast head towards Kathmandu valley following the winding roads of Prithvi Highway. Upon reaching Kathmandu head towards your accommodation. Later in the evening join in for a farewell dinner program that marks the end of your adventure.

Day 20

Today you will be returning to your country. Alpine Club of Himalaya representative will drop you at the airport.

General Booking Conditions

Deposit Policy

For trips to Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, a photocopy of your passport and a 35% deposit of the total trip cost are required to confirm your booking.

This 35% deposit is non-refundable and is used to secure hotel reservations, transportation, trekking permits, and other advance arrangements.

The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu, prior to the commencement of the tour.

Booking a Trip

* A 'trip' encompasses any itinerary or activities, including trekking, tours, expeditions, and other adventure programs that you purchase from us.

* The contract between Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. and the client is established only when we send a confirmation invoice or email to the customer.

* We reserve the right to adjust the prices of trips or tours before the booking is confirmed and the contract is finalized.

Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for any warranties, collateral agreements, prior agreements, or descriptions of services or conditions beyond those explicitly stated in this agreement.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking with the Alpine Club of Himalaya, please provide us with written notice. We will confirm the receipt of your cancellation request. The amount you will be charged for canceling will depend on how close to the departure date you make your request:

A non-refundable cancellation fee of 35% of the total tour cost will apply.

•⁠  ⁠45 to 59 days before departure:

40% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠30 to 44 days before departure:

50% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠15 to 29 days before departure:

70% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠7 to 14 days before departure:

85% of the total tour cost will be charged.

•⁠  ⁠Less than 7 days before departure:

100% of the total tour cost will be charged.

Please note, no refunds will be provided if you voluntarily drop out once the trip has begun or if you do not use any pre-paid services such as accommodation, transportation, or meals.

Cancellation by Alpine Club Of Himalaya  Pvt. Ltd.

Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any trip, including those guaranteed to operate, before departure due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, flight cancellations, strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, illness, quarantine, government restrictions, adverse weather, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, we will provide a refund of the trip price only. If a guaranteed trip is canceled, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or choose an alternative trip of equal value.

Significant alterations do not include changes to airline carriers, flight schedules, or itineraries, as long as departure and arrival dates remain the same. Changes in cabin category or hotel accommodation will be within the same category.

Please be aware that Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for any incidental expenses or consequential losses incurred by the client as a result of the booking. This includes costs such as visa fees, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail fares, parking fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment.

Additionally, no refunds will be given if you choose to withdraw from the trip after it has commenced, or if you do not utilize any pre-paid services, including accommodation, transportation, or meals.

Last-Minute Booking

­ 

Last-minute bookings for Nepal trips are accepted up to one day before departure. Full payment is required immediately. Last-minute bookings for Bhutan and Tibet trips are not accepted.

Trip Postponement

­ 

If you need to postpone your trip, notify us in writing with your new departure date. We will transfer your reservations to the new date at no additional cost, unless there are changes in rates for the new date.

Medical Conditions and Special Requirements

If you have any medical conditions or special requirements, please inform Alpine Club of Himalaya   Pvt. Ltd. at the time of booking. This includes physical disabilities or any other conditions that may affect your ability to travel. Failure to disclose such conditions may lead to refusal of travel and potential forfeiture of your deposit or even the full trip cost.

Certain trips may not be suitable for clients based on age, physical conditions (such as mobility issues or pregnancy), or mental health. It is your responsibility to verify suitability before booking. Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. will not provide special accommodations unless explicitly agreed upon in writing. We will make every effort to accommodate special requests, including dietary preferences, but such requests are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contractual agreement.

Medical facilities and standards vary by country, and Alpine Club of Himalaya    Pvt. Ltd. makes no representations or warranties regarding the quality of medical treatment available.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. It should cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, helicopter rescue, and other relevant risks. We recommend purchasing insurance from a reputable provider in your country.

Passport and Visa

­ 

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Nepalese visas can be obtained at the Nepalese Consulate or on arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Visa costs are the client’s responsibility.

Flight Delays and Changes in Itinerary

­ 

Please be aware that mountain adventures are subject to unpredictable weather conditions. Bad weather in mountainous regions can lead to delays or cancellations of domestic flights. In such cases, Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. will arrange accommodation (guesthouse) and provide meals (lunch and breakfast) if requested by the client. However, clients are responsible for covering any additional expenses, including those for extra food and accommodation. If you opt for alternative arrangements, such as a helicopter flight to bypass delays, you will be responsible for all associated costs.

Alpine Club of Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for missed international flights. We will make every effort to assist with alternative arrangements where possible. Additionally, please note that changes to the itinerary may be necessary due to adverse weather conditions or other factors beyond our control during outdoor activities.

Our tour/trek leader has full authority during the trip. Any unlawful behavior may result in immediate removal from the tour, with no refund.

Personal Belongings

Missed or Unused Services
