Your adventure begins with an exhilarating scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. This short 30-minute flight offers breathtaking aerial views of the towering Himalayan peaks, lush green valleys, and terraced landscapes. The experience is both thrilling and unforgettable as the aircraft lands on Lukla’s iconic Tenzing-Hillary Airport, perched at an altitude of 2,800 meters.

Upon arrival in Lukla, you’ll feel the excitement in the air as trekkers and locals bustle through this vibrant mountain town. After a brief preparation and introduction to your trekking team, you’ll begin the journey toward Phakding.

The trail descends gently through a forested path adorned with rhododendron and pine trees. As you walk, you’ll cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, their colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind. These bridges not only add an adventurous element to your trek but also provide a serene connection to the spiritual essence of the Himalayas.

On the way, you’ll catch your first glimpses of snow-capped peaks, heightening the excitement for the journey ahead. The path passes through small villages and farmlands, giving you an insight into the Sherpa way of life.

By the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Phakding, a quaint village nestled at an altitude of 2,610 meters. This charming village is known for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the serene flow of the Dudh Koshi River. It serves as a perfect resting spot for acclimatization and relaxation after your first day of trekking.

In the evening, you’ll settle into a cozy teahouse in Phakding, enjoying warm Sherpa hospitality and hearty meals while reflecting on the day’s incredible experiences. The trek to Phakding sets the perfect tone for the adventures that await.

Today's journey takes us from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, the largest and most vibrant Sherpa village in Nepal and a bustling hub in the Everest region. Namche Bazaar is not only a gateway to the Everest Base Camp trek but also a cultural and economic centre for the local Sherpa community.

We start our trek by following the trail along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing its sparkling waters on high suspension bridges that provide breathtaking views of the river gorge. The path winds through enchanting forests of pine and rhododendrons, offering opportunities to spot local wildlife and cascading waterfalls along the way.

As we ascend, we arrive at the Sagarmatha National Park checkpoint, where trekkers must register their permits to continue. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to diverse flora and fauna and is vital to the preservation of the Himalayan ecosystem. After completing the formalities, the trail begins to climb steeply through hills.

The trek becomes more challenging but rewarding as we move upwards, with frequent resting points offering views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. On a clear day, trekkers may be treated to their first glimpse of the towering Mount Everest, a sight that inspires awe and fuels motivation for the journey ahead.

After a gradual ascent, we reach Namche Bazaar (3,440m), a crescent-shaped village nestled on a mountainside. Namche is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, offering a mix of traditional Sherpa culture and modern amenities, including bakeries, shops, and gear stores. The village is also a perfect spot to acclimatize for higher altitudes in the days to come.

Tonight, we’ll stay at a comfortable guesthouse in Namche Bazaar, surrounded by stunning mountain views and the warm hospitality of the Sherpa people.a

Today is a much-needed rest and acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, allowing your body to adapt to the altitude. While you can spend the day relaxing and soaking in the beautiful surroundings, optional hikes are available to enhance your experience.

You can visit the Sagarmatha National Park Viewpoint for stunning vistas of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and other peaks. Alternatively, explore Hillary’s School or the local monastery, gaining insight into Sherpa culture and traditions.

Namche Bazaar, the largest village in the region, offers vibrant markets, cafes, and shops. Take this opportunity to explore the town, enjoy the lively atmosphere, or simply relax and prepare for the days ahead. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.

We continue our trek today and move toward Thyangboche from Namche Bazaar. We get to see the first view of Ama Dablam, Lhotse Shar, Taboche, Kangtega, and Thamserku as we move up toward Thyangboche. Our trek will be mostly uphill today. Thyangboche is a small beautiful village famous for its Buddhist monastery which is the biggest monastery in Everest Region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Thyangboche.

We continue our trek as we move toward Dingboche from Thyangboche. Today our trail passes through several abundant forests of rhododendron trees. Following our path we reach Pangboche where a religious place "Pangboche Gompa" exists. On our way to Dingboche, we can enjoy the panoramic views of  Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Before reaching Dingboche, we go through the beautiful imja valley and Lobuche River. After trekking for a few more hours, we will finally reach Dingboche. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Dingboche. 

Today is an important rest and acclimatization day in Dingboche, situated at 4,410 meters. It’s crucial to allow your body time to adjust to the altitude before continuing the trek.

While the day is designated for rest, you can still take advantage of the opportunity to explore the surrounding area. A short hike to Nangkartshang Peak is a popular choice, offering spectacular views of Mount Makalu, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and the Imja Tse. This hike will also help your body acclimatize by gently increasing your elevation.

Alternatively, you can relax in Dingboche, enjoy the scenic views, and take in the serene surroundings. Dingboche is a quiet village with stunning panoramas of the surrounding peaks, making it the perfect place to rest and recharge.

After a day of rest and exploration, we’ll overnight at a comfortable guesthouse in Dingboche, preparing for the next phase of our journey.

Early in the morning, we start our trek to Lobuche. As we trek to higher altitudes, our trek gets a little more challenging than before. As soon as we start our trek today we get to enjoy the great views of the Himalayas. We pass through a small village called  Dulgha before reaching Lobuche. We continue to trek along the moraine of Khumbu glacier. There the top of the ridge is filled with prayer flags and stones which are memorial shrines for the climbers who lost their lives on Mount. Everest. We continue our journey and climb forward until we reach the village of Lobuche which is situated at the foot of Giant Lobuche Peak. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Lobuche.

Today is the day when you'll have a chance to get closer to your dream Mount. Everest. Our big day kicks off with an initial, relatively easy trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep. But the trek from Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp will be much harder than the trek has done before. We walk along the Khumbu glacier and up to the Everest base camp at 5364m. After a tiring long trek, you'll be finally standing at the Base camp of the World's tallest Mountain. Everest Base Camp itself is incredibly stunning and you can also enjoy amazing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and  Pumori mountains from there. We'll spend some time at Everest Base camp & return to Gorak Shep to spend a night there. 

Today we'll start our trek early in the morning before dawn so that we won't miss the first sunrise from the top of the world. We can get a magnificent view of  Mt. Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse mountains on our way to Kala Patthar. As Kala Patthar is the highest viewpoint of Mount Everest, once we reach Kala Patthar we'll be standing face to face with World's tallest mountain Mount Everest. This is the moment that you'll cherish for your life as you have a breathtaking view of the top of the world Mount Everest surrounded by other various peaks like  Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more. After spending some time with the beautiful Himalayas, we'll head back to Gorak Shep. From gorak shep we'll descend toward Pheriche in order to spent a comfortable and warmer night there. Overnight stay at guesthouse in Pheriche.

Today is the day we get back to Namche Bazaar. There'll be lots of ups and downs on our trail today. We'll pass through Pangboche and Tengboche before reaching Namche bazaar. We walk through a hillside filled with rhododendron trees and we rapidly descend through a pine forest. On the way again we can enjoy the views of various peaks. As we walk down the trail, the trail descends straight up towards Pungki Thanka and we walk through another forest before reaching Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche bazaar.

This is the last day of our trek. Today we'll descend toward Lukla which was also the starting point of our trek. We'll pass by several monasteries, forests and villages before reaching Lukla. After trekking for a few hours we'll finally reach Lukla. You can take a rest and enjoy the view of the breathtaking Himalayas, villages and landscapes for the last time after reaching Lukla.

Aujourd'hui, nous retournerons à Katmandou après notre long voyage dans l'Himalaya. Nous prendrons un vol matinal pour Katmandou. Après avoir atteint Katmandou, vous pourrez vous reposer, faire du shopping ou explorer d'autres quartiers de Katmandou. Un dîner d'adieu sera organisé pour vous ce soir par Himalayan Recreation Treks. Nuit à l'hôtel à Katmandou.

Your trip concludes today. A representative of Himalayan Recreation Treks will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport for your scheduled flight.
