Itinéraire

Le trek de la vallée d'Arun est situé dans la région du Makalu et de l'Everest. La vallée d'Arun est dotée d'une grande diversité de merveilles naturelles et d'une culture indigène. La vallée d'Arun est située entre le plus haut sommet du monde, l'Everest (8848 m), et la cinquième plus haute montagne, le Makalu (8463 m). Le trek de la vallée d'Arun commence par un vol de Katmandou à Tumlingtar, le point de départ du trek. Le trek traverse des forêts profondes à la végétation mixte qui mènent aux magnifiques villages Rai et Sherpa de la vallée de l'Arun. L'un des principaux points forts de ce trek est l'étang sacré appelé Salpa Pokhari, qui organise une foire au mois d'octobre pour les pèlerins hindous du monde entier.


Le point fort de ce trek est la vue sur Chamlang (7321 m) et Makalu (8463 m) depuis le sommet de Salpa Bhanjyang. Le trek vous emmène dans la zone de conservation du Makalu Barun et vous conduit dans la vallée de Hinku pour atteindre le parc national de Sagarmatha. De la vallée d'Arun aux villes animées de la vallée de Dudh Koshi, le trek de la vallée d'Arun offre aux randonneurs une occasion unique de découvrir les cultures Rai, Chetri, Magar et Sherpa en visitant les nombreux temples et monastères.

Day 1

Arrivée à Katmandou

Our representative will meet you at the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu and you will be transferred by private coach to the hotel. In the hotel we will discuss with the necessary equipment and the trekking permit. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 2

Visite de Katmandou

Kathmandu Valley includes several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath (famous Hindu temple and cremation ground) Boudhanath (massive Buddhist stupa). We can also visit Swyambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, which was built roughly 2000 years ago. Finally, we can visit Patan, city of fine arts. In the afternoon, you will be meeting with your trekking guide and will check all the necessary things. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

vol vers Lumlingtar puis trek vers Kartike ( 523m)

We shall begin the early morning drive to DomesticAirport and take on a flight to the hill town of Tumlingtar, the east of Arun River, along the chain ofHimalayas. We will enjoy our breakfastin the city of Tumlingtar. We will see aview of Makalu and Chamlang Peaks in clear weather. We will drive to the trailhead of Kumal Gaon walkingthrough the forested trail. From there, we head towards the eastern bank of theArun River and cross the bridge which directs us to the Bheteni village.Walking Chewabesi, passing throughbushes, and heading to the southern direction along the bank of Arun River, wereach Kartike. Overnight at Kartike.

Day 4

De Kartike à Gothey (1128 m)

After our breakfast, we will head towards the small settlements of Baluwa Besi thru the grasslands and crossing the bridge over the Arun River. Following the trail, we will be ascending towards Sal Forest and Marduwa village. Along the way, we can notice the beautiful landscapes and terraced fields cultivated with rice and other crops. Moving ahead of here and exploring some more of such beautiful settlements, farms, and walking along the Irkhuwa river, we will reach our destination Gothey. Overnight at Gothey.

Day 5

De Gothey à Salpa Phedi ( 1680 m)

After Breakfast We will be ascending  several small settlements inhabited by Rai and Sherpa people, crossing suspension bridges over Irhuwa Khola, cross streams, and some lush bushes.. With the adorable and picture-perfect sceneries along the trail, we will reach Salpa Phedi  overnight there

Day 6

Salpa phedi à Gurase Bhanjyang ( 2500 m)

After Breakfast we will be ascending to almost 900m high elevation from Phedi. We will start our trekking through the lush bushes and arduous trail. It is a rather tough but worthwhile trek  today. The beautiful oak, birch, and Rhododendron forests and the mind-boggling sceneries of landscapes and mountain ranges will make this journey a fulfilling one. Overnight at Gurase Bhanjyang..

Day 7

De Gurase à Sanam (2850 m)

After Breakfast we will  hike up to the highest elevation of  Salpa La Pas (3,360m) which is a steady climb from Gurase. From the pass, the eye-dazzling sceneries of Makalu ranges and Chamlang can be seen. After the steep ascent up to the pass, we shall descend towards Dhaka through beguiling Rhododendron forest. We will trek up to Sanam village where we will be staying overnight.

Day 8

De Sanam à Bung ( 1900 m)

After Breakfast we will be full of ascents and descents the entire day through the forested trail with Rhododendron,  Chir Pines, and other flora and fauna. We will be crossing a steel suspension bridge over the Hinku River and descend towards the village of Bung. Bung is a Rai village where we will be discovering about the cultivation of Rice, Millet, and Soybeans in the terraced field in their own traditional farming techniques. Overnight Bung.

Day 9

De Bung à Gai kharka ( 2300 m)

After Breakfast, a full day of ascents and descents. We commence the journey descending steeply through the cliff of a hill and then pass across the settlements of Najindingma. We can spot some Chortens and Monasteries along the way as well as we will  pass some Yak grazing meadows and bushes.  Overnight at Gai Kharka.

Day 10

De Gai Kharka à Panggom ( 2850 m)

After Breakfast, we will going to ascends and descends across gorges and old moraines, Rhododendron, and Juniper forest alongside the Hinku River, and in addition, we can have the magnificent view of Mera Peak with some glimpses of the Upper Khumbu region. Also, a steep ascent to Panggom La Pass (3,174m) offers a close-up view of mara peak and other neighboring peaks. From the pass, we will descend toward Panggom village inhabited by Sherpa people. Overnight over there

Day 11

De Panggom à Paiyan (2730 m)

After breakfast Leaving sunny panggom, the route drops around the ridges and hillsides to join the Classic Everest route. En route Kharte (2830m) is above the newer main trail via Kharikhola. There is a simple lunch spot at the Khari La (3415m) en route. Following this higher trail eventually takes the Arun Valley trekker to Puritan (2730m).

Day 12

De Paiyan à Lukla ( 2860 m)

After Breakfast walk described above under the Classic Everest Trek. It takes about four hours and overnight at Lukla.

Day 13

De Lukla à Katmandou

On the last day you will be thanking the porters, who were a crucial part of the trek. From Lukla, we will take one-hour flight back to Kathmandu. If the flight is on schedule, it is likely to be back at the hotel before noon and you can have a good shower and rest in the afternoon. We'll have a celebratory dinner in Kathmandu.

Day 14

Départ
