Jour 1 : ARRIVEE ATHENE (40km - 35min)

On your arrival at Athens Airport or Port, you will be greeted and you will be taken to your Athens hotel in the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle. Athens has an array of amazing hotels, and this package has the cream of the crop, and we know you will thoroughly enjoy your one-night stay in Athens. Rest of the day free of leisure. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2

Jour 2 : ATHENES

Day 3

Jour 3 : ATHENES - CANAL DE CORINTHE - MYKENE - NAUPLIA - EPIDAURUS - ATHENES (250 km - 3 heures)

Breakfast in the hotel. Explore the remains of the ancient city of Mycenae a major centre of Greek civilization from 1600BC to 1100BC. Depart from Athens via the coastal National highway for the Corinth Canal (shortstop). Drive to Mycenae and visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. Visit the Palace, the Lionesses Gate and the tomb of Agamemnon. Before the optional lunch an optional stop in a pottery factory (lunch not included). After lunch through Argos proceed, to Nauplia the first capital of modern Greece with its Venetian fortress of Palamidi and the fortified islet of Bourtzi (shortstop). Continue to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asclepius, the healer and was the most celebrated healing centre of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best-preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. The tour returns to Athens in the late afternoon. Overnight in Athens.

Day 4

Jour 4 : ATHENES - DELPHI - KALAMBAKA (420 km - 5,5 heures)

After breakfast, leave for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, arrive in Delphi and visit the Archaeological Site. After the visit depart for Kalambaka, passing through picturesque villages and towns of Central Greece. Proceed to Kalambaka for dinner and overnight. Overnight in Kalambaka.

Day 5

Jour 5 : KALAMBAKA - METEORA - ATHENES (355 km - 4,5 heures)

Breakfast at your hotel. Visit Meteora and enjoy a unique and most impressive scenery with ageless Monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between earth and sky atop huge rocks. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (shortstop to see across the road the Leonida's Monument), arrive in Athens early in the evening. Overnight in Athens.

Day 6

Jour 6 : ATHENES (TOUR CULINAIRE OPTIONNEL DISPONIBLE)

Breakfast at your hotel. Today the day is at your own leisure, or you can optionally book the Athens food tour (not included):Athens food tour (Shared; English or French): Start your day in one of the quaintest neighborhoods of Athens, ‘Psyrri’, where you can enjoy a fitting Greek breakfast of aromatic Greek coffee and the well-known ‘koulouri’ sesame pastry. From there, experience the depth of traditional Mediterranean cuisine, by visiting a selection of unique Greek delis and specialized Greek pie shops where you can enjoy the Greek’s favourite snack, spanakopita, amongst many other freshly baked goodies. After exploring the vivid ‘Varvakios” market, we will take a short stop in the center of the hustle and bustle and taste typical Greek home cooking such as; mousaka, gemista, and fresh sardines. Throughout the entirety of your tour, you will be tasting iconic Greek delicacies such as cheeses, cured meats, rusks, olives, olive oil, and everything else you could imagine in a Greek food tour of Athens. On an alternative note, a quick visit to a beautiful little mastiha shop will captivate all your senses. Complete your tour in true Athenian style by visiting a secluded, authentic Greek mezze shop, a hotspot with the locals. Accompanying your Greek ‘mezze’ will be the prestigious alcoholic beverage ‘tsipouro’ that packs a punch! Day 7

Jour 7 : ATHENES (CROISIERE OPTIONNELLE D'UNE JOURNÉE AUX TROIS ILES SARONIENNES)

Petit déjeuner à votre hôtel. Aujourd'hui, vous disposez d'une journée libre à Athènes. Explorez la ville et découvrez ses recoins secrets à votre rythme ou réservez une excursion facultative vers les trois îles de Poros, Hydra et Égine pour une journée de détente en mer. Le transport, les transferts et le déjeuner buffet étant organisés (un délicieux déjeuner et un spectacle folklorique grec à bord du bateau sont inclus), vous pouvez vous asseoir et profiter de votre croisière d'une journée tranquille, avec du temps libre sur chaque île pour l'explorer. Croisière d'une journée vers les trois îles Saroniques : Après le transfert d'Athènes au port en autocar, vous mettrez le cap sur l'île de Poros, où vous aurez du temps libre pour flâner et faire du shopping. Vous débarquerez dans la capitale colorée et disposerez d'environ deux heures pour visiter l'île à votre guise. À l'approche de l'île d'Hydra, admirez le port coloré. Vous disposerez d'environ une heure et demie pour profiter des charmes uniques de l'île d'Hydra, dont la forme en amphithéâtre servait autrefois d'abri aux pirates saroniques. Flânez dans les ruelles étroites, détendez-vous autour d'un café ou achetez des souvenirs dans les boutiques pittoresques. Vous pouvez explorer l'île à votre guise grâce à une visite audioguidée gratuite. Depuis les ponts, vous pourrez admirer l'architecture très particulière et les paysages spectaculaires de cette île, dont les vieilles maisons traditionnelles en pierre et les manoirs témoignent silencieusement d'une histoire longue et mouvementée.
