Look for your guide holding a personalized welcome signboard with your name at the arrival area. After meeting your guide, you will be transferred to Siem Reap city, where along the way, your guide will share useful information about the city, including insights into local culture, daily life, and traditions.

On the morning after breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to explore the magnificent Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the greatest wonders of the ancient world.

Begin your journey at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire, which in the 12th century was the largest city in the world with a population of around one million. 

Continue to the Bayon Temple, renowned for its impressive towers adorned with four smiling faces facing in all directions, located at the very center of Angkor Thom. 

Next, visit the Baphuon Temple, then proceed to the Phimeanakas within the Royal Palace enclosure, followed by the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, each rich in detailed carvings and historical significance. 

After exploring the Angkor Thom complex, continue your journey to the hidden jungle temple of Ta Nei, offering a peaceful and less crowded atmosphere. From there, visit the iconic Ta Prohm Temple, famously embraced by giant tree roots and featured in the Tomb Raider movie. The atmosphere at Ta Prohm evokes the sense of discovery experienced by Henri Mouhot, the French explorer who brought Angkor to the world’s attention in 1860 AD.

On the morning after breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to visit the Tonlé Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and one of the most unique ecosystems in the world. 

Enjoy a scenic boat cruise to explore the Kampong Phluk Floating Village, considered one of the most beautiful and authentic floating communities on the lake. As you cruise through the stilted and floating houses built on boats or bamboo rafts, witness the real daily life of Cambodian fishing families who live entirely on the water. 

Tonlé Sap Lake is a rare natural phenomenon, as its water levels are fed directly by the Mekong River, and it is the only lake in the world where water reverses direction seasonally, flowing in and out from the Mekong River.

After exploring the floating village and learning about the unique way of life in this water-based community, return to the port and continue to a local restaurant for lunch, where you’ll enjoy traditional Khmer cuisine. 

After lunch, continue to Artisans Angkor, a social enterprise dedicated to preserving and showcasing traditional Khmer arts and crafts, where you can observe skilled artisans creating wood carvings, silk paintings, and stone sculptures. 

Next, visit Wat Bo, one of the oldest pagodas in Siem Reap, known for its beautiful murals and peaceful atmosphere. From there, visit the Royal Residence Park, a serene public garden often visited by locals, followed by a visit to West Baray, an impressive ancient manmade reservoir built during the Angkor period, which still holds water today.

Upon arrival, you will have the option to explore the island by bicycle or tuk-tuk, following a scenic 7-kilometer loop trail. As you journey around the island, visit traditional wooden stilt houses, meet with local families, and enjoy casual conversations to gain insight into the daily life, culture, and customs of the residents.

Koh Trong is also famous for its grapefruit orchards, as most families grow this delicious fruit, you’ll have a chance to taste fresh, organic grapefruits straight from the source.

Afterwards, visit the ancient monastery of Phnom Sambok, located on a small hill along the Mekong River, offering peaceful views and a glimpse into the region’s spiritual life. Continue on to Wat Sor Sor Moury Rory, a lesser-known yet culturally rich temple.

At first glance, the Skun Market may look like a typical local market, but it has gained worldwide attention for its fried spider delicacies, particularly deep-fried tarantulas, which are considered a local snack. Women walk through the market with trays of spiced and crispy spiders, some as large as the palm of your hand, alongside stalls selling fresh produce, fruits, and local snacks. This visit offers a fascinating glimpse into Cambodia’s bold culinary culture.

Start your journey with a visit to the deeply moving Choeung Ek Genocide Center, also known as the Killing Fields, located just outside the city. Here, you’ll gain insight into the tragic history of the Khmer Rouge regime, which ruled Cambodia between 1975 and 1979.

Continue to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), a former high school turned interrogation center during the Khmer Rouge era. Your professional guide will provide historical context and personal stories to help you understand this important chapter of Cambodia’s past.
