Buenos Aires city and the Iguazu Waterfalls are without any doubt two of Argentina´s highlights. But in the road between them there is a hidden natural wonder, the Ibera Wetlands. Thousands of square kilometers of land invaded by water and the biggest bio diversity reservoir in Argentina. Access is difficult and services are scarce, and that makes it a very off the beaten track destination. This tour is made for those that are hungry for discovery.

Jour 1 : Buenos Aires

Jour 2 : Buenos Aires
Breakfast. 9 am City Tour: Discover the beauty and wonders of Buenos Aires, see the National Congress, The Metropolitan Cathedral next to the Government House in May Square area. Visit the Colon Theater, one of the most important opera houses in Latin America and San Telmo, traditional neighborhood where Tango performances can be seen in many bars and restaurants. Stop at La Boca colorful neighborhood, which was seat of immigrants - mainly Italians - and now home of some artists.
Enjoy Palermo, an area that combines its architecture and history with entertainment and amusement in its green spaces. Finally, La Recoleta, an exclusive and elegant neighborhood where the famous cemetery is found.
In the evening (8 pm), Tango show with dinner: In the very heart of Buenos Aires, this refurbished historic place is a classic building of the porteño culture. A Tango Show is a trip to older times.
Professional artists will show you their best art, singing songs and dancing typical pieces, shared with the best tango orchestras. The show consists of several parts in which you can appreciate 2 tango orchestras, a folkloric group, dancers and singers.
Jour 3 : Buenos Aires-Saladas
Breakfast and check out at 11 am. In the evening (7 pm), departure to Saladas by night bus.
Jour 4 : Saladas - Concepcion (Esteros del Ibera)
Arrival in Saladas early in the morning, conection with 8 am public bus to Concepcion. Arrival, lunch and Introduction talk and visit to “Reserva Natural Ibera” Interpretation Center. Accommodation at La Alondra.
Jour 5 : Concepcion (Esteros del Ibera)
Breakfast and transfer to Juli Cue port to board small vessels to visit the wetlands to see landscapes and animals. About the middle of the trip change to a canoe pulled by horses, the original way the people use to travel here. Lunch in the shade of ancient trees. Back to hotel in the evening.
Jour 6 : Concepcion (Esteros del Ibera) - Corrientes - Puerto Iguazu
Breakfast and check out. Bus to Corrientes. Connection with bus to Puerto Iguazu. Arrival at midnight. Transfer to accommodation
Jour 7 : Puerto Iguazu
Breakfast. 8 am Full Day Excursion to the Falls, Argentine side: This Tour take will you to visit part of the Iguazú National Park. It preserves 67.000 ha. of giant trees, vines and ferns living with multicolored butterflies, birds and mammals, all of them part of the rich local flora and fauna.
The park was declared Natural World Heritage in 1984, due to its scenic beauties and the great biological diversity of the subtropical jungle. The famous falls are in the heart of this Park.
You will start the visit at the Local Museum and continue the Tour along the Lower Trail, from where you can see the " Two sisters Falls", the "Bossetti Fall", the "Hidden Fall", a panoramic view of "San Martin island " and the "Union Fall".
Later you walk the Upper Trail shifting along walkways located above major falls up to the majestic "San Martin Fall” from where you have a panoramic view of the Brazilian falls.
Finally, you go with the Train of the Jungle up to "Devil's Throat" station. From there, after 1,000 meters walk along the catwalks, you will reach the spectacular "Devil's Throat", where the Iguazu river expresses itself with all its strength and the falling water gives the illusion of magic rainbows.
Jour 8 : Puerto Iguazu
Breakfast. 8 am Excursion to the Falls Brazilian Side, half day: Your guides take you to visit the wonderful Iguazu Falls, on the Brazilian side, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Argentine water falls
You will get close to "Floriano", "Deodoro," and "Benjamin" waterfalls, and the walkways lead you also to "Santa Maria Falls." (Beware of visa needs if going to the Brazilian side, eg: Australia, USA, Canada, China, etc)
Jour 9 : Puerto Iguazu
Breakfast. 11 am: Check out. Transfer to Airport or Bus Station. End of the services or take the optional Night BUS back to Buenos Aires.
