Day 1

Jour 1 : Arrivée à Halifax

Arrive in Halifax and check in to your accommodations which are ideally located in the downtown core of this vibrant and cosmopolitan urban centre on the Atlantic Ocean. Meet your Tour Director or Driver/Guide and fellow travelers this evening at a Meet & Greet.

Option: You may wish to add additional nights in Halifax to your vacation package. Bursting with culture and rich history, Nova Scotia's capital city has much to offer.

Day 2

Jour 2 : Halifax, NS à Moncton, NB

Explore the Bay of Fundy and learn about the world's highest tides as you meander its colourful coastline to New Brunswick. En route, explore the Joggins Fossil Cliffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will see magnificently exposed layers of rock revealing the world's most complete fossil record of life in the "Coal Age" of 300 million years ago. After crossing into New Brunswick, an unforgettable culinary experience awaits as you enjoy a scrumptious lobster dinner on a lobster boat. Continue on to Moncton and check into your downtown hotel for the night. (Continental Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3

Jour 3 : De Moncton (N.-B.) à Saint John (N.-B.)

Experience a true natural wonder this morning at the Hopewell Rocks on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. Marvel at these massive flower-pot shaped formations sculpted by the highest tides on the planet. Travel through Fundy National Park on to Canada's first incorporated city, Saint John, on the southern New Brunswick coast.  Enjoy a city tour, including the Reversing Falls where twice daily the Bay of Fundy tides force the Saint John River to reverse its flow. Check into your Saint John accommodations for a two-night stay. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 4

Jour 4 : St. Andrews by-the-Sea

Enjoy a day trip to picturesque St. Andrews by-the Sea where the quaint charm of this coastal town is sure to captivate. After a Whale Watching Boat Tour (weather permitting), the afternoon is yours to experience the friendly people, beautiful architecture, and rich marine life of this seaside gem at your own pace. Jour 5 : De Saint John (N.-B.) à Digby (N.-É.)

Ferry back to Nova Scotia this morning and arrive in Digby, the scallop capital of the world, where the fresh sea air and passionate Acadian culture combine to form an enchanting and historically rich town. Check into the Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa overlooking the Annapolis Basin on the Bay of Fundy. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Jour 6 : De Digby, N.-É. à Halifax, N.-É.

Parcourez la luxuriante vallée de l'Annapolis, où les Acadiens français de Grand-Pré ont établi leur première colonie au début des années 1600. Discover the rustic charm of the renowned fishing village of Peggy’s Cove where you will enjoy breakfast overlooking one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. Travel the South Shore and on to the UNESCO World Heritage Town of Lunenburg, renowned for her fleets of Grand Banks’ fishing schooners. Take a walking tour to fully experience one of the most remarkably preserved colonial settlements in the New World, and visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic to learn about the town’s famous seafaring heritage. Day 8

Jour 8 : De Halifax à Charlottetown, PE

Learn about the Mi'kmaq people at Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre before crossing Confederation Bridge, the world's longest continuous multi-span bridge, to Prince Edward Island. Check into your Charlottetown accommodations for a two-night stay and enjoy a theatre performance by local entertainers at the Confederation Centre of the Arts (a substitution may be necessary due to the theatre schedule). Day 9

Jour 9 : Visite de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard

Enjoy a free morning in Charlottetown, Canada birthplace, or join a complimentary walking tour of the city. This afternoon, tour the scenic North Shore of the island. Drive by red cliffs, white beaches, gently sloping sand dunes and green fields of Prince Edward Island National Park and visit Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, the alluring inspiration of Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic books. Experience true Maritime hospitality this evening at a traditional hall-style lobster supper.(Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 10

Jour 10 : De Charlottetown, PE à Baddeck, NS

Ferry over the Northumberland Strait back to Nova Scotia and proceed to Cape Breton Island, the Scotland of North America, via the Canso Causeway before checking into your accommodations on the Bras d'Or Lake where you will spend the next two nights. This evening you will see the beautiful Bras d’Or Lake from the water as you board a unique sightseeing boat tour. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 11

Jour 11 : Excursion sur la Piste du Cabot

Experience one of the most stunningly picturesque drives in North America today as you tour the Cabot Trail which winds around the rocky splendor of Cape Breton's northern shore, ascending to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Look-offs offer unforgettable vistas of Cape Breton's rugged coastline so be sure to have your camera on hand. Visit Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck to learn of the many accomplishments of this genius who made his home on the island. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12

Jour 12 : De Baddeck, NS à Port aux Basques, NL

Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site awaits today and words cannot do justice to this reconstruction depicting one fifth of the settlement of 1744 New France. At North Sydney, board the Marine Atlantic ferry for a relaxing overnight* crossing to Port aux Basques, your port of entry on the island of Newfoundland. (Breakfast, Dinner)

*The Marine Atlantic ferry schedule changes from year to year. As such, a day crossing may be necessary and in that case you would overnight in Port aux Basques.

Day 13

Jour 13 : De Port aux Basques (NL) à Port au Choix (NL)

Drive through the Codroy Valley and through Gros Morne National Park - to be enjoyed later on during your tour - to the fishing community of Port au Choix to learn of ancient cultures. The Port au Choix Peninsula juts slightly out into the Gulf of St. Lawrence on Newfoundland's northwest coast and people have lived here for 5,500 years. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 14

Jour 14 : De Port au Choix, NL à L'anse au Clair, NL

Board the ferry from St. Barbe to cross the Strait of Belle Isle to Labrador. Continue to Red Bay National Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the Basques had a whaling station in the 16th century. This mystical place takes the essence of Labrador coastal living and transposes it onto a tapestry of rich culture and history. Spend the night in Labrador.  (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 15

Jour 15 : De L'anse au Clair, NL à St. Anthony, NL

Return to Newfoundland and travel to L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, the first cultural discovery in the world to receive recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hear of the Vikings who walked here over a thousand years ago. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Jour 16 : De St. Anthony's, NL à Cow Head, NL

Anthony avant de vous rendre à Cow Head dans le parc national de Gros Morne pour un séjour de deux nuits. (Petit déjeuner, dîner)

Day 17

Jour 17 : Excursion locale à Gros-Morne

Découvrez pourquoi le parc national du Gros-Morne, classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, est vraiment l'un des points forts de votre voyage avec une excursion en bateau sur Bonne Bay ; soyez à l'affût des aigles à tête blanche qui fréquentent les eaux profondes du fjord. Visitez également les Tablelands ; cette montagne de roches plates d'un type que l'on ne trouve habituellement que dans les profondeurs du manteau terrestre est un spectacle impressionnant. La journée d'aujourd'hui sera une expérience inoubliable ; certains disent que le paysage qu'offre Gros Morne est inégalé dans l'Est du Canada. (Petit-déjeuner, déjeuner en boîte, dîner)

Day 18

Jour 18 : De Cow Head, NL à Deer Lake, NL

Retour au parc national du Gros-Morne pour visiter le phare de Lobster Cove Head, puis continuation vers l'aéroport de Deer Lake où se terminent vos arrangements avec Atlantic Tours. (Petit déjeuner)

Multi-Day Tours & Vacations

A deposit of $200 per person, per tour, is due at time of booking for most tours.

For tours including rail, air or cruise, a deposit of $500 per person, per tour is due at time of booking.

Non-refundable full payment is required for any airfare/rail components added to your package.

For shopping tours, a deposit of $100 per person is due at time of booking.

Balance of payment must be paid 45 days prior to departure unless otherwise specified upon booking and on your invoice.

Full payment must accompany any reservation received within 45 days prior to departure.

Cancelation Terms

More than 61 Days Before Departure: Deposits are non-refundable.

60 Days or Less Before Departure: 100% of the tour cost is non-refundable.

Cancellation charges also apply to additional pre or post accommodations and to any add-on sightseeing tours.

Note: should the payment and/or cancellation terms for your package/vacation vary from what is listed above, you will be notified upon booking and said terms will be listed on your invoice.

Credit Cards

Should you or an authorized person disclose your credit card number and expiry date for the purpose of making a reservation, you are indicating your compliance with our booking Terms & Conditions, and therefore agree to pay the amount debited to your card, regardless of whether an authorized signature has been obtained or not. Verbal authorization of your credit card confirms your reservation.

Payments made by credit card must be processed in the Canadian equivalent and are subject to currency fluctuations. The payment which will appear on your credit card statement may be slightly higher or lower than our published brochure price. In order to avoid this, your credit card number may be given as a guarantee to hold the reservation until such time that your personal cheque is received and cleared.

Travel Protection

Atlantic Tours strongly recommends the purchase of trip cancellation/interruption insurance and emergency medical coverage while traveling. Insurance should be purchased with your initial payment and covers "unforeseen" medical reasons either to you, your traveling companion or your immediate family. Insurance is non-refundable. We will be pleased to provide you a rate for insurance for your specific tour upon request; however, please note that by joining one of our tours without sufficient emergency medical coverage, you agree not to hold Atlantic Tours Limited responsible for any costs incurred should an emergency medical situation arise.  Further, should you opt not to purchase cancellation/interruption insurance and it becomes necessary for you to cancel your trip, the above cancellation terms are stringent and we will not make exceptions to them. Revision Fees

If you would like to change any details of your booking after it has been confirmed, we will do our best to accommodate. Changes to a booking are subject to a $50 administration fee, per change. Changes to a tour involving rail or air are subject to higher change fees and may not be permissible once confirmed. Changes to the date of the tour or changing to a different tour are subject to full applicable cancellation charges.

Documents

Documents are generally forwarded to clients by e-mail unless it is requested that they be sent by regular mail. Bookings made within three weeks prior to travel date may require courier service to obtain necessary documents for travel should we not be able to email them to you.  In these instances, a courier fee will apply to be determined by location. Payment for courier costs are required with final payment.

Responsibility

Atlantic Tours Limited will not assume responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, cost or expenses arising out of personal injury, accidents or death, loss, damage or delay of baggage or other property, or delay, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental, especially if such loss results from any of the following: The act of omission of any party other than Atlantic Tours Limited or it's employees. Your failure to follow instructions including but not limited to airport departure times, baggage handling, and check-in and check-out times. Cancellation or change for any reason in the travel services offered. We reserve the right to cancel or change the travel services at our discretion, but we will try to substitute comparable services. If we must completely cancel your reservation, and in any event, Atlantic Tours Limited's liability will be limited to a refund equal to the total original purchase price of the vacation package. A full refund, however, will not be honored in situations where your reservation must be cancelled by Atlantic Tours Limited for reasons which are beyond its control and where Atlantic Tours Limited's contractual obligations with its suppliers does not allow it to obtain reimbursement of the sums paid to the on behalf of the customer. Written notice or any claim against Atlantic Tours Limited must be received no later than fourteen (14) days after your trip.
