11 Days Kenya & Tanzania Birding & Big 5 High End Safari

Morning departure to Lake Nakuru National park for a special sighting of the rare black rhino (an endangered species), one of the big five animals.  The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingoes lining on the lake shore, arriving by mid morning at Lake Nakuru for a game drive en route before checking-in at Lake Nakuru Lodge for Lunch. Afternoon game drive followed by a walk along the shores which will also allow us to see the many wild animals in the park and especially the park is the Sanctuary to the Black Rhino, White Rhino and the Rothschild Giraffe.  Dinner and accommodation Mbweha Safari Camp or similar

After Breakfast depart to Hell's Gate National Park to arrive at 9:30am.  Once at the Park, you have the option of a game drive in a Safari vehicle or take bikes into the Park. Cycling in the Park is a great adventure as you get to ride the bikes for 7 Kilometers before resting at a ranger's post. After a brief stop at the rangers post you leave the bike and start a walking safari. Enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge. Continue on foot into the park’s distinctive gorges, where narrow passageways and caves are sunk into sedimentary rock. After a 1-hour walk, stop by a local Maasai community to learn about traditional life and customs in the Great Rift Valley, then head to Naivasha Sopa Resort for lunch.

After lunch there is an option Explore Lake Naivasha wildlife on a 1-hour boat tour (at own expense USD20) . Spot the hippos that linger just at the surface of the water, and see some of the diverse birdlife; African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbill, and little grebe are all common here.   Dinner and accommodation Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort

Soon after breakfast, drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley the longest rift in the crust of the Earth to Masai Mara Game Reserve the unspoiled Savannah. Masai Mara is actually the northern portion of the Great Plains ecosystem in the neighboring Tanzania called Serengeti. It is a home to the “big five” lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard and elephant as well cheetah, zebra, giraffe and vast herds of plain antelope and numerous and other wildlife. Accommodation will be at an excellent lodge. After lunch and some time to relax and perhaps take a dip in the pool, you will depart with your driver guide for an afternoon game drive in search of the big five. As sun starts to edge dip into the horizon, it will be perfect time to photograph the beautiful Mara rolling plains.  Dinner and overnight Mara Enkaji Lodges or similar

This day you will woke up very early in the morning for Hot Air Balloon Safari and  be transferred to a hot air balloon launching site from the lodge. At sunrise, you will be drifting over the vast plains as the first signs of life appear below. The 1 hour Masai Mara hot air balloon ride experience offers a stillness and tranquility that cannot be found elsewhere else. The changing sky colors as you watch the sunrise are nothing short of magical. You will be granted an aerial view of the wildlife spectacle unfolding below as you take in all that the African Savannah has to offer.

On landing, you will be treated to a sumptuous champagne breakfast before returning to the lodge.After breakfast you will start a full-day game drive all the way to the Mara River, the site of the great wildebeest migration. Eat a picnic lunch in the park at 1 p.m. Complete the game drive and return to your accommodation at 4 p.m. In the evening, visit a Masai village to learn more about their culture for an hour. Early morning game drive to see the early hunters. Breakfast and then depart for Serengeti Through the Isebania border; Arrive border at Lunch time.30 Minutes process of getting visa. Hand over to our Tanzanian driver. In Tanzania we use 4 wheel drive .evening game drive en route to the camp. Dinner and accommodation Serengeti Sound of Nature or similar.

Set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of the Serengeti. A scenic four hour drive, full day game drive together with late evening game drive. Dinner and accommodation Serengeti Sound of Nature or similar.

After breakfast check out for game drive as you proceed to Ngorongoro crater. Dinner and accommodation Ngorongoro Lion's Paw or similar.

Early breakfast, proceed directly to the Crater floor for a full day crater tour with picnic lunches. Later proceed to Lake Manyara. Dinner and accommodation Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or similar.

After breakfast, proceed for a full day game drive in beautiful Manyara National Park then Proceed to Arusha for drop off. Dinner and accommodation Arusha Serena Hotel or similar.

After Breakfast our driver guide will pick you in the morning and offe transfer back to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to connect your flight back home and say bye.  End of Service.
