Tour program

Day 1

Zagreb - Parc national de Plitvička Jezera (env. 150 km)

Your round trip Croatia 10 days starts at Zagreb Airport where you will pick up your rental car. The first highlight of this trip will be the city of Zagreb. The country's capital offers plenty of culture, history and architecture. Stroll through the upper and lower city, past the famous cathedral, Kaptol Square and Ban Josipa Jelačića Square, to name just a few of the sights. In the late afternoon, continue your journey towards Plitvička Jezera National Park. Your accommodation is just a few kilometers from the entrance to the national park.

Spend the next day exploring the national park, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. 16 turquoise lakes are connected by breathtaking waterfalls and cascades. Stroll or hike along the wooden walkways past breathtaking nature.

Overnight stay at the Plitvice Lakes National Park.

You will spend another 3 nights on the coast. You will spend the night in the small town of Biograd na Moru, where you will find a large selection of restaurants, several stores and beautiful pebble beaches. The best place for your first day of excursions is Paklenica National Park. The main attraction of the park are the two canyons Mala and Velika Paklenica, which run deep into the sea. The park is also home to unusual karst relief formations, caves and diverse flora and fauna. On the way back to Biograd, it is worth making a detour to Zadar. The old town offers numerous treasures, including churches, proud town houses and Roman ruins. Have a coffee on the main square, the "Narodni Trg", before heading to the sea promenade where you will find two of the city's fantastic attractions: the Sea Organ and the adjacent Greeting to the Sun. The next day we recommend that you visit the Kornati National Park. Take a leisurely cruise through the island world, which comprises 89 mostly uninhabited islands and islets, and enjoy the vastness of the sea. You must not leave the region without visiting the Krka National Park. The 17 waterfalls, which plunge dramatically into the depths, are the main attraction of the park. Fancy cooling off? Then let's go and jump into the crystal-clear water - despite the national park, swimming is allowed here. On the way home to Biograd, we recommend you stop off in the town of Šibenik and take a look at the historically valuable old town. One of the town's biggest attractions is the Cathedral of St. James (UNESCO), a masterpiece of architecture. The fortress of St. Ana offers a great view over the city and the sea; it is well worth the effort.

Now it's time to relax for the next 3 days! Take the ferry from the port of Split to the island of Brač. Drop off your rental car in the city of Split and from there take the shared transfer. The island's main town, Supetar, is just a 55-minute drive away. The island is famous for its limestone deposits; it was even used to build the White House in Washington. You will spend the night in the small boutique hotel Lipa, which is located in the fishing village of Postira. Several restaurants and bars can be found on the sea promenade, and there are also numerous bathing bays in the surrounding area. The island is particularly famous for its unique pebble beach "Zlatni Rat", which changes its point depending on the wind direction. Enjoy a day of swimming on Croatia's most famous beach and stroll through the small town of Bol in the evening, admire the pretty stone houses and dine in one of the fish restaurants. You will find peace and quiet again in your overnight stay in Postira.

Last but not least, pay a visit to the port city of Split. Life has been pulsating here in all its facets for over 1700 years. The UNESCO-listed old town of Split offers numerous attractions. Stroll through the narrow streets, past colorful bars, delicious restaurants and chic stores. Marvel at cathedrals, churches and monuments, let yourself drift along the long sea promenade "Riva" and watch the locals "dolce far niente". Climb up to the top of the local mountain Marjan from where you have a beautiful view of the city.

You have now experienced 10 days and 10 highlights on this trip with us. Today your return flight departs from Split airport. You will be picked up by our transfer partners and driven to the airport, where it will be time to say "goodbye".
