Itinéraire

Le trek Langtang Gosaikunda commence après 9 heures de route de Katmandou à Syabrubensi. Un peu plus haut dans la vallée se trouve le village de Langtang, balayé par le tremblement de terre du 25 avril 2015 et aujourd'hui reconstruit, et Kyanjin Gompa, où nous nous arrêtons pour la nuit et testons le fromage de yak local. Nous passons par Nubamatang, niché dans une vallée cachée, sur notre chemin pour voir les glaciers, qui marquent la porte d'entrée du col Tilman, un itinéraire de haute montagne vers le Jugal Himal qui traverse une cascade de glace abrupte et difficile sur le côté sud.


Nous pouvons également faire une randonnée jusqu'à Kyanjing Ri ou Tsergo Ri (Cherko Ri), qui offrent des vues spectaculaires sur Naya Kanga (5 846 m), Ponggen Dopku (5 930 m), le mont Langtang Lirung (7245 m), le pic Yala, Dorje Lakpa (6966 m), Urkeinmang (6387 m), Loenpo Gang (6979) et Kangchenpo. En revenant sur nos pas, nous traversons le village de Syabru et SingGompa jusqu'à un haut plateau où se trouve le lac sacré Gosainkund.


Le lac Gosaikunda est également connu sous le nom de Nilkantha Kunda. Le lac Gosaikund possède un rocher noir en son centre, que l'on dit être la tête de Shiva. Selon la légende, Shiva a créé ce lac de haute altitude lorsqu'il a percé un glacier avec son trident (Trishul) pour obtenir de l'eau afin d'étancher sa soif après avoir consommé du poison provenant du barattage des océans (le poison est la raison pour laquelle Shiva est représenté avec une gorge bleue).


Un rocher blanc sous l'eau serait le vestige d'un ancien sanctuaire de Shiva. On dit également que l'eau de ce lac disparaît sous terre par un canal souterrain et fait surface dans le bassin de Kumbeshwar, à côté du temple de Shiva à cinq étages de Patan, à plus de 60 km de là. Des milliers de personnes s'y recueillent et s'y baignent pendant le festival de la pleine lune en août. Après avoir franchi le col de Laurebena (4610 m), nous continuons vers le sud, laissant derrière nous la région du Langtang et traversant la vallée de l'Helambu. De là, il ne reste plus que quelques jours de marche pour retourner à Katmandou.

Day 1

After landing in Kathmandu, you will meet our Peregrine Treks and Tours representative. You will then drive to your Hotel located in Thamel in our vehicle. In this 30-minute drive, you will have an introductory session and a short briefing about the trek. From the window, you can get a close look at the bustling urban life of Kathmandu city. 


As you enter Thamel, the setting changes as the streets are vibrant, and the culture of Kathmandu reflects in the houses here. Meet your Peregrine Treks and Tours guides and prepare for the trek with their aid today. You can rest for the day after reaching your Hotel.

Day 2

Drive duration: 7-8 hours

After your breakfast today, we will have a highway drive to the village of SyabruBesi. You will take a local bus to the starting point of your trek. The drive passes through some historically and commercially significant settlements where you can take brief breaks. 

The fantastic scenery of the vegetation and landscape peeks through your window as you head deeper into the rural face of Nepal. The road is adventurous, and you will travel mostly through graveled sections in the hills. After reaching SyabruBesi, rest for the day. Overnight at a lodge in Syabrubesi.

Day 3

Trek jusqu'à l'hôtel Lama (2640M) depuis SyabruBesi

Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

Your trek of Langtang-Gosaikunda starts early today from SyabruBesi. We will commence the trek by crossing the bridge over the mighty Trishuliriver from SyabruBesi. The first part of the trek is plain and straight through the lush forest in the hills leading to Pahiro and Bamboo. 


We will gradually ascend from here and to the Lama Hotel. The forest clears as you will near the Lama Hotel. You can observe the Tibetan-influenced lifestyle in the small settlements here. You will glance at the beauty of Langtang National Park in this stretch of the trek. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

Day 4

Trekking jusqu'au village de Langtang (3340 m) depuis l'hôtel Lama

Trek Duration: 6 hours

We will take a quick warm-up walk and view the sunrise from a hill today before starting the trek. Starting your day was never better as we went through the blooming rhododendron forest to Gunachock. The view clears today, and you can have a mesmerizing view of Langtang Lirung, Naya Kang, and many other sub-ranges. 

Following the trail, you will pass the settlements of Thomna, Ghortabela, and Thyangsyap. 


Tamang culture showcases itself here, and you can take brief stops here. In the late afternoon, Langtang valley comes into sight, and the village is picturesque and beautiful from a distance. Overnight at a lodge in Langtang village.

Day 5

Trek vers KyanjingGompa (3860 m) depuis le village de Langtang

Trek Duration: 3-4 hours


Today's trek is shorter than other days of the Langtang Gosainkunda trek. So, you will have enough time today to enjoy the beautiful surrounding view during the trek. In the morning, you can enjoy the short village tour. The village of Kyanjing is one of the culturally rich and significant settlements of the Langtang region. You can rest for the rest of the day and take a brief tour of the village. You can visit the local cheese factory in the evening and try some delicacies overnight at Kyanjing village.

Day 6

Repos et acclimatation à Kyanjing

Acclimatization is crucial essential hiking in the Himalayas, and at an altitude of 3820 meters, Kyanjing will be an ideal stop. However, you can ease the pressure of altitude sickness with the short hiking options to the nearby unique destinations. 


Your first stop today will be Kyanjing Gompa if you have yet to visit it. The beautiful paintings here are centuries old, and the Gompa is significant to the locals. Other popular options also give you the perfect view of Langtang Lirung (7234 m), Yala peak, DorjeLakpa (6966 m), and Kangchenpo mountains from a close range. These three are some of the best good short hiking sites near Kyanjing village.

Day 7

Trekking à l'hôtel Lama depuis Kyanjin

Trek Duration: (7-8 hours)

We will start our trek early and leave 

the Kyanjin village. The village will appear more beautiful than ever with the bright background of snow-covered mountains. Our trek is mostly descending today, and we will walk through some of the earlier settlements to reach the Lama Hotel. You can encounter Himalayan sheep (Naurs) and beautiful Himalayan birds on the trail today. The walk will get more relaxed as you are near the Lama Hotel. You will reach there in the late afternoon and rest for the day.

Trek jusqu'au village de ThuloSyabru (2540 m) depuis l'hôtel Lama

Trek Duration: (6 hours)

Today's trail is the same halfway mark as the earlier hiking days to Pahiro. We will then choose the following route to the ThuloSyabru village today. Passing by the Bamboo village, we can see the SyabruBensi from the trail separating at Pahiro. We will gradually walk up to ThuloSyabru village for the last few hours. ThuloSyabru is a beautiful and comparatively more significant Tamang settlement in the Langtang region. Head for a village tour and try some local cuisine in the evening here. Overnight at a hotel in ThuloSyabru.

Day 9

Trekking à Lauribina (3920 m) depuis Thulo Syabru

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

Our day will start with Breakfast and the majestic landscape views surrounding the ThuloSyabru village. We will start trekking and do a gradual uphill trek to reach the ridge at Phoprang danda (3190 m). This Danda (hill) is popular among visitors and locals for the fantastic fresh breeze accompanied by the majestic panoramic mountain views. 


We will walk through patches of rhododendron forests amongst the sub-tropical ones to reach Sing Gompa or Chandan Bari. Taking a brief stop here, we will walk further to the village of Lauribina. On the way to Lauribina, we will pass through a specified Sanctuary for the rare Red Panda. We will know Lauribina is close as the majestic views of Manaslu, Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal appears more beautiful with every step. Overnight at a hotel in Lauribina.

Day 10

Trekking à Gosaikunda (4210 m) depuis Lauribina

Trek Duration: 4 hours

We will start our day early as the best views of the Himalayas are available from the nearby ridge at Lauribina. Our trek today is short and to the holy Lake of Gosaikunda. The trail is among the most beautiful on this trek as we pass through pastures and small streams before reaching Gosaikunda. Gosaikunda is the most significant Lake on our trek. 


However, there are dozens of small and big lakes surrounding the area. These beautiful lakes can be reached within hours of hiking from Central Lake. Saraswati Kunda (Lake), Bhairav Kund, DudhKund, RagatKund, Chandra Kund, and AmaKund are significant lakes we can reach today. Gosaikunda is a beautiful Lake with Hindu devotees visiting it annually. 


Legends say that the Hindu god of destruction made this Lake quench his thirst with his mighty Trishul to extract the Gosaikunda. Hence, the river which gets its water from here is known as Trishuli, which we crossed down in SyabruBesi. People here believe that Lord Shiva will answer their prayers if they walk to Gosaikunda with a clean heart and worships at the shrine. The view of the snow-capped Himalayas below the sea of clouds from Gosaikunda is also pristine. Overnight at a hotel in Gosaikunda.

Day 11

De Gosainkunda à Gopte (3640) via le col de Lauribina La (4610 m)

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

After viewing the beautiful sunrise from Gosaikunda, we will start our trek for the day to the village of Gopte. We will do the Lauribina La pass first, the highest point of our trek. We will start our uphill rocky climb to Lauribina Pass by crossing three small lakes. Once at the top, you can have an incredible 360-degree view of rocky hills and snow-capped mountains touching the horizon. After spending some time in the Pass, we will start our descent to the village of Gopte. Rest for the day in a lodge once you are in Gopte.

Day 12

Trekking jusqu'à Kutumsang (2540 m) depuis Gopte

Our trek for today to the village of Kutumsang is mostly downhill and through a lush sub-tropical forest. The trek is refreshing, and walking down the ridge, we can have a spectacular view of DorjeLakpa and Shisha Psangma (8027 m) mountains. Crossing Magin Goth on the way, we will walk further to the Kutumsang village today. Overnight at a lodge in Kutumsang village.

Trekking à Chisapani (2230 m) depuis Kutumsang

Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

Chisapani is one of the most preferred day hike selections from Kathmandu. This trekking route includes this fantastic destination as it promises many scenic, natural, and cultural delights. These trails highlight the beauty of the Helambu region as a whole. We will walk up and down the green hills to reach the natural viewpoint of Chisapani. We can have a fantastic view of the far and wide hills and mountains from here. This Picturesque setting is perfect for losing yourself and plunging into Nature's lap in Nepal. Overnight at a hotel in Chisapani.

Day 14

Trekking à Sundarijal depuis Chisapani et route vers Katmandou.

Trek Duration: 3 hours and a 1-hour drive

Our last trek day starts with a fantastic sunrise view from your Hotel in Chisopani. We will walk to Sundarijal and drive back to Kathmandu today. You will pass through multiple settlements where you can make brief stops to try local snacks here. After reaching Sundarijal, you will take a private cab to your Hotel in Kathmandu. You can enjoy the nightlife and souvenir shopping in the evening near your Hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.

We will transfer you to the TIA couple of hours before the departure flight. In your spare time before the flight, you can revisit some nearby restaurants and monuments here. 1. If you wish to transfer from one trip or trek to another, 10% of the tour cost will be made to cover office administration. We are happy to accept transfers only providing this does not cause us to cancel the trip or trek you are already booked onto and provided we do not suffer costs incurred from suppliers and airlines relating to your cancellation. Any additional costs incurred as a result of your transfer will be passed on to you.


2. If you want to make changes to your itinerary after we have confirmed your booking we must be notified in writing at least 15 days prior to departure. A fixed fee of US$150 per person will be charged to cover administration and booking cancellation costs. Costs resulting from changing your booking will be passed on to you. Changes made 15 days or less before your departure date will be considered to cancel your original booking and the cancellation charges outlined will be applied.


3. Cancellation must be advised, in writing, and will be effective from the date of receipt by The Company. In the case of group bookings, cancellation of one or more individual places within the group must be received in writing from the person responsible for placing the booking originally and not from individual members of the group.

No refund/changes within 17-day prior to departure date based on the tour operator's time zone.

18-32 days prior to departure date - 25.00% Refund

33-47 days prior to departure date - 50.00% Refund

48 days or more prior to departure date - 75.00% Refund


4. Such terms are adopted in a similar form throughout the travel industry and are designed to protect The Company who is required to make certain advance payments as part of your holiday arrangements. Provided the reason for cancellation falls within the terms of the policy, you may be able to claim cancellation charges back from your insurance company. We strongly suggest you take out insurance at the time of booking to cover against possible cancellation charges. Should you cancel your booking the insurance premium is forfeit.


5. We reserve the right to cancel or modify your holiday. If we have to cancel your holiday before the date of departure, you will have the choice of taking an alternative holiday. Where this is a lower price we will refund the difference and where this is of a higher price you will be expected to pay the difference. Or you can choose to withdraw from the contract with us and accept a full refund. In addition and in appropriate cases, where the full balance has been paid, and where such cancellation is not due to under booking or force majeure (as defined below), we will pay you compensation, which is reasonable given the circumstances in question. Force majeure is defined as unusual and unforeseeable circumstances, beyond our control, the consequences of which neither we nor any of our suppliers could avoid. If a tour is under booked and as a result will not run, we will inform you no later than 6 weeks prior to departure. We cannot be held liable for any loss or damages incurred or any claims due to any cancellation on any account whatsoever.


6. No refund or compensation will be made for any unused air tickets, accommodation or any other activity, service or feature of the trip. A general indication is provided of the itinerary for each adventure holiday, accommodation used, what is included in the price, passport and visa requirements and health formalities. As indications, they are not a contractual obligation on the part of The Company. Changes in any or all of these may be made at any time and we will notify you of any such changes that we become aware of as soon as we are reasonably able to do so. Most holidays will have accompanying detailed Itineraries which can be downloaded from our website or sent out to you on request. We advise you to read these notes carefully before making any booking to ensure you understand the nature of the holiday and what is and is not included in the price. If you have made a booking and, after reading the itinerary, feel you have not fully understood the details of the holiday, you may cancel your booking without penalty and we will refund any monies paid to us. This type of cancellation will only be allowed during the 7 days following our sending the Itineraries to you. Cancellation of this type will not be allowed if your booking is made less than 8 weeks before departure.


7. It must be realized that with adventure travel, changes to an itinerary may occur. Most of our trips operate in developing and/or remote countries and regions and a degree of flexibility is required, sometimes patience and a sense of humor, which are part of the adventure travel experience. We reserve the right to make such changes after we have confirmed your booking and if we do so, we will make the best efforts to inform you before departure and make suitable alternative arrangements. Circumstances may arise where we are forced to alter trip dates, duration or hotel accommodation before leaving your country. Local events may result in delays or alterations. Clients will be informed of any such changes as soon as we know of them and will be invoiced for any additional costs resulting, or refunded any difference as appropriate. During a trip, we will do our best to ensure suitable alternatives and minimal disruptions to your itinerary and any changes will be made in discussion with the group.


8. Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize and accept the risks and hazards potentially involved in adventure holidays and that you are mentally and physically capable of undertaking your chosen trip. You must tell us if you have an existing medical condition or disability that might affect your holiday before you make any booking. If in our reasonable opinion, your chosen holiday is not suitable for your medical condition or disability, we reserve the right to cancel the contract if medical or other problems are discovered. In this eventuality, we will give a full refund but no compensation. You are responsible for bringing with you the proper clothing and equipment. Which we advise you about in our printed trip information and pre-departure information pack. The Company is liable for the negligence of its employees and suppliers when they are acting within the scope of their employment or in the provision of the travel arrangements. The company is not liable for any failures that occur in the performance of the travel arrangements which are attributable to the consumer, or attributable to a third party unconnected with the provision of the services and events which are unforeseeable or unavoidable, or which are due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the company which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised.


9. All Tibet tours are run strictly under the Tibet Tourism Authority. We or our agents shall not be responsible for any change or cancellation program due to any unavoidable circumstances such as road blockade, flood, snow, political unrest, cancellation of flights, delayed arrivals, sickness or accidents or any changes imposed by the Tibet Tourism Authority. Any resulting additional cost must be borne by clients. Therefore, we advise you to have full medical, personal and cancellation insurance and to ensure that your planned activities are fully covered. Regarding Tiber and Bhutan Tour cent percent of the tour, the cost must be paid before than 45 days than departure.


10. Any information provided by The Company on matters such as permits, visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment etc is provided in good faith but without responsibility on the part of The Company, and the passenger accepts responsibility for obtaining any necessary visas and travel documents required for the holiday.


11. The Company cannot be made liable for the consequences of flight cancellations, strikes, industrial action, riots, government intervention, wars, threat of war, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, weather conditions, flood, sickness, quarantine, missed departure flights, or other similar events beyond our control. Any additional costs that result, such as extra hotel accommodation or flights or land transfer will be your responsibility and must be paid for directly, at the time.


12. While making an arrangement for joining your group either in Nepal, India, Bhutan and Tibet our responsibility does not commence until the appointed start date and time. We shall not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you in order to join the group.


13. Any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our holidays may be used by The Company without charge in all media (whether now existing or in the future invented) for bona fide promotional or marketing purposes, including but not limited to, promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures, slides, video shows and the internet.


14. Our trek leaders/guides and ground office staff in Kathmandu or another destination point will do their utmost to ensure that any problems are solved for the benefit of the group as a whole. Signing the booking form signifies your acceptance of their authority to make decisions affecting the group or individuals. For example, he/she may require an individual to leave the group if he/she believes that a person’s health is at risk if an illegal act is committed or their behavior becomes detrimental to the safety, enjoyment and well being of other members of the group. Should the leader take such action, that person would not be entitled to any refund. Similarly, a client leaving a tour en route will not be entitled to any refund unless agreed by the Company Director.


15. The Company including all guides, leaders and anyone working in association with us cannot be held responsible for any accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of arrangements or services for a trip. In absence of professional medical assistance, group leaders will provide first aid support if needed, to the best of their ability and judgment. By signing the booking form you agree not to take any legal proceedings against The Company or its employees or associates as a result of any first aid treatment or medicine suggested or administered including advice and suggestion during the trip.


16. Please understand that there are certain hazards involved in adventurous holidays, which you must accept at your own risk. The Company will not be liable for any illness, injury or death sustained during a trip, trek or tour, except due to negligence, nor will it be liable for any uninsured losses of your property. We cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or accident to any luggage or properties, which at all times are carried at their owner’s risk even when carried by porters or pack animals.


17. If you have a problem or complaint during your holiday, you must inform your guide who will endeavor to put things right. If your complaint is not resolved you should then speak with the Operation Manager or Managing Director in our office in Kathmandu. Please do also submit your complaint in writing to keeping it concise and to the point as this will help us to identify your concerns and to speed up our response to you. If you fail to follow this simple procedure we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint during your holiday and this may affect your rights under this contract. We agree to independent arbitration should this become necessary.


18. Before confirming your booking we will need to see documentary proof of your insurance policy, which must include satisfactory cover for helicopter rescue, repatriation and cancellation. Should you wish to purchase insurance through The Company, we offer some of the best and most competitive insurance on the market through the Travel Trust Association (TTA).


19. Prices on this website are based on costs for more than 2 people. Single Accommodation, a group less than 2 people, special service may take the additional cost. We will not impose any surcharges on the price of trip arrangements less than 30 days before departure. In addition, if surcharges become necessary before that time we will absorb an amount up to the first 2% (excluding insurance premiums). Surcharges may be imposed to cover dramatic increases in, for example, airline prices if the Sterling/US Dollar rate weakened substantially. The Company will not apply surcharges except in the most unusual circumstances.


20. Passports, visas, vaccinations and other preliminary arrangements are entirely your responsibility and we accept no responsibility in the event that these are not secured in time for departure.


21. The Company’s agents and representatives, other than the Chairman and Directors, are not entitled to promise refunds for whatever reason and The Company will not be bound by any such promise.


22. These booking conditions may only be waived for special individual circumstances by a letter from the Company Directors.


23. The terms and conditions of all agreements made with The Company shall be subject to and governed by, Nepalese jurisdiction.
