Walk in the footsteps of Jesus as you traverse a scenic and meaningful route that weaves through quaint villages, lively cities, and rolling farmland — all along the path where Jesus carried out much of his ministry.
Starting in Nazareth, the trail takes you to the ancient Roman capital of Galilee, Zippori; the site of Jesus’ first miracle in Cana; a fully-functioning religious Jewish kibbutz; ancient olive groves; the dramatic cliffs of Mount Arbel; and, of course, the serene shores of the Sea of Galilee. Along the way, you'll visit significant churches, culminating in Capernaum — the heart of Jesus' ministry. For those seeking a deeper spiritual experience, an optional (and highly recommended) hike to the Mount of Beatitudes is available.

Exiting the Old City via its 406 steps, you’ll be rewarded with your first breathtaking view of the Galilean landscape. From here, the trail leads toward Zippori National Park — a captivating archaeological site where you’ll have time to explore its ancient wonders. The journey continues through a quaint village and on to the lively city of Cana, traditionally known as the site of Jesus’ first miracle. Your third night offers a chance to experience genuine Arab hospitality in a warm, home-style guesthouse.
The morning begins with a home-cooked breakfast —fuel for another day of exploring! Beginning with a As you depart Cana, take a moment to admire the unique architecture of the local homes before descending into the tranquil Beit Keshet Forest. Your journey brings you to a preserved stretch of the ancient Roman road that once connected Acre and Tiberias — a route believed to have been walked by Jesus on his way from Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee. From there, continue on to Kibbutz Lavi, one of the few Orthodox religious kibbutzim, where you'll spend the night in a comfortable modern hotel and enjoy a traditional kosher buffet dinner.
Another hearty kosher meal fuels you for the journey ahead. Departing from the hotel, you’ll walk through the lush farmlands of Kibbutz Lavi, making your way to the first highlight of the day: the Horns of Hattin. From the summit of this extinct volcano, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of the Galilean landscape. The trail then leads to Nebi Shu’eib, the most sacred site for the Druze community worldwide. The final leg of the day winds through ancient olive groves and timeless scenery, offering a glimpse into the land’s biblical past. Your day ends in Moshav Arbel, where a warm bed and a delicious home-cooked meal await.
A nourishing breakfast sets the tone for the final, unforgettable day of your journey. You'll begin with a walk to Mount Arbel National Park, where sweeping views of the Sea of Galilee shimmering in the morning light await you. From there, the trail descends the dramatic cliffside into Wadi Hamam, a Bedouin village nestled at the base, and continues toward the peaceful Galilean shoreline.
Along the way, you'll visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes in Tabgha, a site steeped in spiritual significance. Finally, you’ll arrive at Capernaum — the place Jesus chose as the center of his ministry. Explore the ancient ruins, reflect on your incredible journey, and take pride in having walked from Nazareth to Capernaum — following in Jesus’ footsteps.
At this point, you can wait for your shuttle pickup from Capernaum, or, for those with energy left and a desire for one last spiritual moment, take the optional walk to the Mount of Beatitudes and be collected from there.
