• On the way, stop at the invigorating Tachog Temple located across the Paro river.
• Stop at Wangsisina nunnery and commence your journey to Bhutan with a sacred offering of 108 butter lamps.
• Upon reaching the Thimphu city sprawled along the valley of Wang Chu (Thimphu River), visit the vibrant Buddha Dordenma statue at Kuenselphodrang.
• Later explore the only city in the world without a single traffic light before retiring to your hotel to absorb and acclimatize to this altitude.

After a good breakfast you will begin your journey to Punakha valley, the ancient capital of Bhutan until 1955.

• Ascend 3,100 meters to the vibrant Dochu La (Pass), adorned with 108 Chortens (Buddhist shrines) and bright colored prayers flags. On a clear day you will also be able to get a good glimpse of the highest peaks of Bhutan from the Pass.
• Visit the thriving Sangchen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery overlooking Punakha & Wangdue valleys. 
• Drive to Leki Wangmo Homestay, a traditional Bhutanese farm-house, offering a grand view of Punakha valley. Enjoy traditional farm-to-table meals and Bhutanese tea prepared by the hostess, Aum Leki. You can try your skills in preparing Bhutanese dish or learn the art of making butter tea or simply relax, soaking in the view of the Punakha valley. It is an opportunity to discover and experience the life of real Bhutanese farmers living in villages.
• Explore the village of Talo, home to the temple of the Queen Mother's protective deity. Indulge in the beauty of the rural life

After a healthy breakfast get ready to explore the golden valley of Punakha

• Walk across farmhouses and rice paddies of Sopsokha Village, also popularly known as The Phallus village,  to reach Chimi Lhakhang better known as The Fertility Temple. It is a popular pilgrim site for couples hoping to start a family. Along the way you will come across the detailed paintings and elaborate colors to depict phalluses across walls of traditional houses is a perplexing, yet amazing sight to behold!
• Visit Punakha Dzong, a massive structure built at the junction of two rivers. Punakha was once Bhutan’s capital until 1955 but the Punakha Dzong still serves as the winter residence of the central monk body. 

● Drive further to Nyzergang to to take a small hike to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Temple.

● Pho Chhu Suspension Bridge - The 160 metres Pho Chhu Suspension Bridge has the reputation for the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan, offering spectacular views of Punakha Dzong and the Pho Chhu Valley.

Overnight at homestay n Punakha. 

Take a scenic drive to the beautiful Phobjikha Valley. The valley is also known as Gangtey and is popular for its scenic splendor and cultural uniqueness. Phobjikha is well known as the winter home of the Black-Necked Cranes (Grus Nigricollis), that migrate from the Tibetan plateau. Overlooking the valley is the Gangtey Goenpa.

• Upon reaching Gangtey, venture into the most beautiful and shortest of the existing nature trails in Bhutan, The Gangtey Nature Trail. The trail hike starts from the Mani (like Chorten) stone wall to the north of the Gangtey Goenpa and ends in Khewa Lhakhang. The hike takes about an hour and half through the pine forests and small bamboo shrubs. The view of the valley underneath is breathtaking from this hike. It is regarded among one of the best hikes in Bhutan and a pristine place for Nature lovers.

After the hike, visit the Gangtey Goemba, seated on a forested hill, overlooking the green expanse of the entire Phobjikha valley.

• Upon reaching Paro, visit the National museum and discover ancient artifacts dating back to 4000 BCE. The National Museum or the Ta Dzong served as a watch tower, designed to protect the Paro Dzong in the olden days.

• Evening free or visit the Paro town with a street of typical Bhutanese traditional buildings.

The best for the last, the legendary Taktsang hike is the focus of today’s activities. Get your energy up at breakfast this for the hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Venture through the pristine surroundings of the monastery resting on a cliff.

Hike up to Tiger’s Nest - one of Bhutan’s most revered pilgrim sites; be rewarded to the overwhelming sight of the monastery perched on a cliff at 3,120 meters above the sea level and 900 meters above Paro valley. Tiger’s Nest or Taktsang acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th Century, Guru Rinpoche, widely revered as the second Buddha, arrived from Tibet, flying across the mountains on the back of a tigress and meditated here for three months. He blessed and preached tantric Buddhism in Bhutan.

After the hike, relax your muscles with a rejuvenating bath with a healing traditional hot stone bath and indulge in a game of local archery to fully relax the authentic Bhutanese way.
