Day 1

Arrivée à l'aéroport international de Tribhuvan, Katmandou.

Your landing at the airport marks the first day of the trip. A representative from Escape Himalaya will be waiting at the airport for your pick-up and escort to the hotel. You will be dropped off at the hotel, where we will meet you and explain the trip's program. You can relax for the remainder of the time and pack for the trek.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

This day, we will take a beautiful morning flight to Lukla, presenting you with some pretty sights of the landscape, which changes gradually. Then, we will begin our trek with an easy walk, passing through the village of Chaurikharka and walking down towards Dudh Koshi Ghat, lying at an altitude of 2,530m. Trekking along the Dudh Koshi river shore, we will reach Phakding.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

We will head off from Phakding on this day and pass through splendid rhododendron forests, the wood blossoming rich with magnolia and aligned with fir trees. The area will be full of blooming rhododendron flowers during springtime. We will also pass through Jorsalle (2,805m) and the junction of Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi. We will climb for some time and get the first glimpse of Everest if the weather is clear and the clouds part away. Ascending further, we will reach Namche Bazar, a flourishing Sherpa village and an administrative hub of the Khumbu region.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

At Namche Bazaar, we will rest to acclimatize and avoid altitude sickness. We should also experience a short hike on this day to help adjust our bodies to the raised elevation. We will, therefore, climb to Everest View Hotel, which presents magnificent views of Mount Everest, Mount Ama Dablam, and more of the surrounding peaks. We will then trek back to Namche.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

We will move ahead from Namche Bazaar and continue walking all along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Koshi. On the way to Sanasa, we will pass by the ethereal rhododendron forests. You may also see faunas like the multi-colored pheasants, musk deer, and the Himalayan Thar. From Sanasa, we will walk on a vertical way up to get to the famous Tengboche Monastery. Tengboche is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region, and it presents magnificent views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

On this day, we will trek for around five hours to get to Dingboche. Our trek begins with an adjacent route through the rhododendron forest from Tengboche to Deboche. We will also traverse the raging Imja River through a suspension bridge and pass by Pangboche village, the region's biggest village occupied by Sherpa people. Here, we can walk to Pangboche monastery, one of the ancient monasteries. We will have quite a challenging walk in the afternoon as the scenery turns dry and deserted before reaching Dingboche.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

We will have another acclimatization day in Dingboche on this day. To get accustomed to the high altitude, we will also have a short hike to Nangkartshang Peak, often known as Nagerjun Hill, set at 5,083m just above Dingboche. The walk will be pretty demanding as the path is steeper. It takes almost three hours to reach the top of the hill. The stunning 360° views of the Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,481m), Imja Tse/ Island Peak (6,160m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), Kangtega (6,782m) and many more mountains will mesmerize us. Then, we will return to Dingboche.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

We will climb steeply to Lobuche, leaving behind Dingboche and passing a chorten. We will also pass by Dhugla, located at the tip of the Khumbu Glacier. With a vertical and small climb up, we will reach Thukla Pass and see memorials put up in tribute to those who lost their lives while climbing mountains. Also, you cannot ignore the stunning vista of the enormous mountains. We will finally reach Lobuche (4,910m) with a trouble-free walk.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

Departing from Lobuche, we will walk towards the mighty Everest lap today. Today is a crucial trek day as we will reach the Everest Base Camp. Upon walking to the base camp, the views of Everest, Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Nuptse will encircle us. We will also walk further up to the top, passing the Changri Glacier gush to see Kala Patthar, which translates to “Black Rock” in Nepali. Walking further ahead, we will reach Gorak shep and continue to the Everest Base Camp, where we shall have a fantastic time drowning ourselves in the majestic Sagarmatha! Then, we will return to Gorak Shep.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

We will walk from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar early in the morning to witness the magnificent view of the sun rising behind Mt. Everest. The spectacular views of Chhangtse, Nuptse, Lhotse, and others will be alluring. At Kala Patthar, you will also spend some rewarding time remaining in your memories forever. Then, we will walk down to Gorakshep and trek down to Pheriche.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

Today, we will walk from Pheriche to Namche Bazar. We will pass several local settlements, alpine forests, suspension bridges, and rolling hills on rugged, twisty paths.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

We will walk downhill from Namche to travel along the Dudh Koshi River again. Then, we will stroll to Monjo, where we must accomplish the formalities at the Sagarmatha National Park check post at Monjo. Subsequently, we will walk towards Phakding and continue walking to Lukla. In Lukla, you can relax and remember the incredible memories of trekking.

Overnight at the guesthouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

We will return from Lukla to Kathmandu on a short and scenic flight. Upon landing at Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel.
