Humayun's Tomb: Humayun's tomb in the capital Delhi is a fine specimen of the great Mughal architecture. Built in 1570, the tomb is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. Its unique beauty is said to have inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the unparalleled Taj Mahal. In many ways, this magnificent red and white sandstone building is as spectacular as the famous 'monument to love' in Agra. This historic monument was erected by Humayun's queen Hamida Banu Begam (Haji Begam) at a cost of about 1.5 million. It is believed that she designed the tomb.

Qutab Minar: Qutab Minar is a soaring, 73 m-high tower of victory, built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak immediately after the defeat of Delhi's last Hindu kingdom. The tower has five distinct storeys, each marked by a projecting balcony and tapers from a 15 m diameter at the base to just 2.5 m at the topIt is said that if you can encircle it with your hands while standing with your back to it your wish will be fulfilled.

Lotus Temple: East of Nehru place, this temple is built in the shape of a lotus flower and is the last of seven Major Bahai's temples built around the world. Completed in1986 it is set among the lush green landscaped gardens.

The structure is made up of pure white marble the architect Furiburz Sabha chose the lotus as the symbol common to Hinduism, Buddhism, Bhai Temple Jainism and Islam. Adherents of any faith are free to visit the temple and pray or meditate.

India Gate: India Gate, an important monument of the city, is a memorial built in commemoration of more than 80,000 Indian soldiers who were killed during World War I. The monument is an imposing 42 meters high arch and was designed by the famous architect Edwin Lutyens.

Later evening drive to Agra city. on arrival check-in hotel. overnight stay.

Day 3

Jour 3 : Agra - Jaipur (230 Kms)

Get ready at 5:00 AM to visit The Taj Mahal in Sunrise.  backto hotel and checkout then visit Agra Fort. after lunch, drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur sikri.

Taj Mahal: Taj Mahal, "the epitome of love", is "a monument of immeasurable beauty". The beauty of this magnificent monument is such that it is beyond the scope of words. The thoughts that come into the mind while watching the Taj Mahal of Agra is not just its phenomenal beauty, but the immense love which was the reason behind its construction. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan got this monument constructed in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, with whom he fell in love at the first sight.

Agra Fort : The construction of the Agra fort was started around 1565, when the initial structures were built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, and subsequently taken over by his grandson Shah Jahan, who added most of the marble creations to the fort. The fort is crescent shaped, flattened on the east with a long, nearly straight wall facing the river. It is ringed by double castellated ramparts of red sandstone, punctuated at regular intervals by bastions.

Fatehpur Sikri: The ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri is home to well-preserved courtyards, palaces, pavilions and arches within its walls. Foreign visitors flock here to photograph the superb regal architecture. The striking red hue of the buildings is particularly pronounced at sundown. Wander the abandoned city and admire the grand structures, which reveal details about court life in one of the world’s most pow erful dynasties.

The complex became the capital of the empire in 1571, but was abandoned just 14 years later due to water shortages. It was built by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar, who was known for his policy of religious tolerance and for his sympathetic approach to the conquered Hindu subjects. As you explore, note the unique mixture of Muslim and Hindu architectural elements that exist within the walled city.

On arrival jaipur check-in hotel. overnight stay.

Day 4

Jour 4 : Visite de Jaipur

After breakfast, get ready to Jaipur guided tour inclusive of Amber fort, Hawa mahal, Jal Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar.

Amber Fort: Amber Palace aka Amber Fort was constructed in 1592 AD by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbar's army. Later it was expanded and renovated by Raja Jai Sigh I. Situated at a distance of 11 km from the city, it carries the pride of Jaipur.

Set amidst the hills and overlooking the Maota Lake, Amer Palace is the finest example of Indo-Islamic architecture. Within the vicinity of the Amber fort there are 4 courtyards. There are various other buildings within these courtyards i.e., Palace of Man Singh I, Garden, Tripolia gate, Lion gate, Diwan-I-Aam, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Mahal, etc.

Hawa Mahal: The renowned 'Palace Of The Winds', or Hawa Mahal, is one of the prominent tourist attractions in Jaipur city. Located in the heart of Jaipur, this beautiful five-storey palace was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh who belonged to Kachhwaha Rajput dynasty. The main architect of this palace built of red and pink sandstone, is Lal Chand Ustad and the palace is believed to have been constructed in the form of the crown of Krishna, the Hindu god. Considered as an embodiment of Rajputana architecture, the main highlight of Hawa Mahal is its pyramid shape and its 953 windows or 'Jharokhas' which are decorated with intricate designs.

City Palace: The City Palace is a palace complex, situated in the core of the Pink City Jaipur. The beautiful complex comprising numerous edifices, vast courtyards and attractive gardens, is a souvenir of the majestic history. The Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal are some of the significant structures in the complex. To preserve the valuable items of the bygone era, many compartments of the palace have been converted into museums and art galleries. To witness the beauty of the palace, thousands of visitors from across the world visit the City Palace every year.

Jantar Mantar: The Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is the largest and one of the best preserved of five observatories constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh all over northern India. For being a reputed astronomer, Jai Singh was commissioned by Emperor Muhammad Shah, to correct the astronomical tables and to confirm the data that was available on the planetary positions. He took nearly seven years to finish the Jantar Mantar. It was restored in 1901 and in 1948 the famous observatory was declared a national monument. The Jantar Mantar in the Pink City consists of multiple structures of stone masonry built in varied and large geometric forms that have caught the attention of artists, architects and art historiographers throughout the world.
