Jour 3 : Pékin
Day trip to the Great Wall. On the way back to Beijing, visit the Olympic Park. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven. The temple, built in 1420, symbolizes heaven and earth. Built without a single nail, the Temple of Heaven rises above the marble terraces, shines with its roof of 50,000 blue glazed tiles and is a unique photo motif.
Jour 4 : Pékin
Excursion to the Imperial Palace and the Summer Palace. The Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City, is the largest and most important building in China. The Summer Palace is located just outside Beijing and was originally a private garden divided into different areas. Peking duck specialty dinner in the evening.
Jour 5 : Pékin - Xian
Flight to Xian. In the evening, stroll through the famous night market in the old town and enjoy the unique atmosphere. The day ends with the colorful water games with music in front of the Great Wild Goose Pagoda.
Jour 6 : Xian - Chengdu
You are traveling to the "Terracotta Army". During well drilling in 1974, farmers made an archaeologically sensational discovery: the Terracotta Army, a military force spread over three underground areas, so human-like that one could believe that this underground army could immediately put the strategic order of battle of the time into practice. Travel by high-speed train to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province. On arrival, short city tour with a visit to the historic city center.
Jour 7 : Chengdu
In the morning, visit the panda breeding station, where around 100 panda bears live and can be observed. Founded in 1987, it now attracts scientists and visitors from all over the world. The temple complex Qingyang Gong ("Temple of the Black Goats") is one of the most important Taoist monasteries, whose origins date back to the Tang Dynasty. In the evening, specialty dinner Sichuan fire pot.
Jour 8 : Chengdu - Chongqing
Train journey to Chongqing, short city tour with visit to an open-air market and drive to Eling Park on a hill, then transfer to your cruise ship.
Jours 9 à 10 : Croisière sur le Yangtsé
The Three Gorges Dam, the largest dam in the world with its 5-stage mega lock, is undoubtedly an architectural wonder of the world! Experience the natural wonders of the Yangtze and sail into the three great gorges "Qutang", "Xiling" and "Wushan". The boat also takes you to the small bays with their bizarre rock faces, e.g. on the Shennong Stream or the Daning River.
Jour 11 : Yichang - Zhangjiajie
Arrival in Yichang, disembarkation. Bus ride through beautiful rural landscapes to Zhangjiajie.
Jour 12 : Parc national de Zhangjiajie
Visits to the bizarrely shaped rocks, pine forests that stretch along insurmountable mountain ridges, picturesque villages, gorges, secluded lakes, forests that are reflected in the emerald green of the water. Waterfalls, karst caves and temple ruins - this natural paradise will surprise you with its incredibly varied nature. Almost more spectacular than the landscape is your journey up the Bailong Elevator. The world's highest outdoor elevator clings to the bare rock as a steel scaffold and its three cabins climb 330 meters vertically upwards on narrow rails. The world's longest glass bridge hovers in the mountains of Zhangjiajie. It spans 430 meters from rock face to rock face and crosses the national park's Grand Canyon, which is up to 300 meters deep. A walk you won't soon forget!
Jour 13 : Zhangjiajie - Fenghuang
Coach trip to the "Phoenix City" of Fenghuang in Hunan province. On a city tour in what is probably the most beautiful old town in China, you will visit the pagoda, a museum of the venerable Miao culture and the Yang Ancestral Temple. On both banks of the Tuojiang River, historic pile dwellings provide an insight into the history and way of life of people before the modern age. A river cruise on one of the wooden boats with a view of the beauty of the old town rounds off the day.
Jour 14 : Fenghuang - Longsheng
Drive to the most famous and highest rice terraces in China, which extend up to an altitude of almost 900 meters. The old Dong stilt houses, which were built on the mountainside or in the valley during the Qing Dynasty, are well preserved. The village is a living museum with around 176 families representing Dong architecture and culture. In Longsheng, take a short hike through the charming landscape of the rice terraces.
Jour 15 : Longsheng - Guilin
Bus ride to Guilin, which lies in the middle of an enchanting natural landscape. You drive to Fubo Shan, the "Mountain of Calmed Waves", which rises on the banks of the Li River.
Jour 16 : Guilin - Shanghai
A boat trip on the famous Lijiang River (Li for short) with its overwhelming panorama is on the program today. The trip is sure to be one of the highlights of your trip to China. Flight to Shanghai in the evening.
Jour 17 : Shanghai
Today's excursion takes you to the old town, the Yu Garden, which dates back to the Ming period and is an example of traditional and typical Chinese horticulture, and the Jade Buddha Temple, which houses a priceless white jade Buddha figure. Acrobatic performance in the evening.
Jour 18 : Shanghai
You will first travel to the ultra-modern district of Pudong, to the Shanghai Tower - the tallest building in China, which offers a spectacular view of the city of Shanghai 632 m below with its "Skywalk", a glass viewing platform. In the afternoon, you will get to know Xintiandi, the "New World" district. The trendy restaurant and trendy district impresses with a combination of modern architecture and restored shikumen buildings from the 1920-30s. You stroll through narrow, car-free alleyways, past elegant boutiques, street cafés, bars and restaurants - this district is a typical figurehead of modern Shanghai. The same applies to the Tianzifang district, which was named after a Chinese painter. Once a residential area in the French Concession, artists, small stores, bars and cafés have settled here since the district was restored. A treasure trove for browsing and, alongside Xintiandi, another trendy attraction in today's Shanghai.
