Day 1

Jour 1 : ARRIVÉE À BANGKOK

Arrival at Bangkok International Airport, reception and transfer to your hotel (unaccompanied transfer). Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Perhaps treat yourself to a traditional Thai massage, indulge your taste buds with the fantastic local flavors and end the day by enjoying the sunset at one of the stylish rooftop bars that have flourished in the city's skyscrapers in recent years - the possibilities are endless. Overnight stay in Bangkok.

Day 2

Jour 2 : BANGKOK

Full day at leisure to discover Bangkok on your own or take one of the many optional excursions on site. For those who have never been to Bangkok before, we recommend a half-day tour to the most popular Buddhist temple and landmark of the City of Angels (optional, not included in the price). The Royal Grand Palace, a grand architectural masterpiece of multiple buildings on the outside and a magical interior, was used as a royal residence from the 18th to the mid-20th century. It is without a doubt a national reference and possibly the most visited royal monument in Thailand, and it should not be missed. The building is home to "Wat Phra Kaew", Bangkok's most sacred temple, which houses the famous Emerald Buddha. Overnight stay in Bangkok.

Day 3

Jour 3 : BANGKOK - PHITSANULOK (400 km - 5 heures)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Bang Pa-In to visit the magnificent summer palace of Rama V. Continue to the former capital of Ayutthaya and visit the ancient temples of Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, Wat Mahathat and the museum in Ayutthaya Historical Park. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then drive to Phitsanulok to check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Phitsanulok.

Day 4

Jour 4 : PHITSANULOK - CHIANG MAI (350 km - 5 heures)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, home to one of Thailand's most revered Buddha statues. Drive to Sukhothai to explore this ancient city full of historical sights. The most impressive is the Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the ruined temples and palaces as well as the Buddha statues of all sizes. Lunch en route at a local restaurant. A short drive away is Si Satchanalai with the impressive ruins of half a dozen temples, including Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, which you reach via a wooden suspension bridge, as well as countless Buddha and elephant statues. This normally tranquil location offers a special spiritual break during the tour before arriving in Chiang Mai. Overnight stay in Chiang Mai.

Day 5

Jour 5 : CHIANG MAI

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary (Grand Canyon). After a safety and orientation briefing, participate in an ethical and respectful experience centered around elephant care, protection and observation. Learn about the sanctuary's mission while observing elephants in a natural environment where their welfare and freedom of movement are paramount. Capture unforgettable photos and meaningful moments with these gentle giants to remember for a lifetime. After lunch, continue to the bustling Wararot Market, a historical landmark known for the variety and quality of its produce, before visiting the fragrant flower market. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 6

Jour 6 : CHIANG MAI - CHIANG RAI (200 km - 3 heures)

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the city. You can reach the temple via a 309-step naga staircase or by cable car (included in the price). If the view is breathtaking, the temple itself is even better and features a number of dazzling structures. Continue to visit the historic Wat Suan Dok and admire its 48-meter-high Sri Lankan-style chedi overlooking the royal cemetery. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue on the road and stop at Wat Rong Khun, nicknamed the 'White Temple', a dazzling temple built in the 1990s. Its ornate, all-white façade with embedded mirrors gives it a magnificent appearance, making it one of the most beautiful temples in Thailand. Continue to Chiang Rai for check-in. Overnight stay in Chiang Rai.

Day 7

Jour 7 : CHIANG RAI - TRIANGLE D'OR - DÉPART DE CHIANG RAI

After breakfast at the hotel, visit Wat Rong Seua Ten (Blue Temple). Its magnificent blue interior with a large white Buddha marking the spirits. "Seua Ten" literally means the dancing tiger. There were tigers that used to leap across the river. The current site of the temple was the ruins of a temple that was abandoned 80 to 100 years ago. In 1996, the villagers decided to rebuild a temple. Construction began in October 2005; the White Buddha was completed in 2008, while the main hall was only finished in January 2016. Continue on the road to the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. Enjoy a boat trip around the Golden Triangle with a stop at Don Sao Island, which belongs to Laos (the boat trip takes about 45 minutes). Lunch at the Imperial Golden Triangle Hotel. In the late afternoon, transfer to Chiang Rai Airport (please book your flight accordingly).
