La route Connue sous le nom de route "Coca-Cola", la route Marangu est un trek classique sur le Kilimandjaro. C'est l'itinéraire le plus ancien et le mieux établi. Beaucoup privilégient la route Marangu car elle est considérée comme le chemin le plus facile de la montagne, en raison de sa pente graduelle. C'est également le seul itinéraire qui propose des refuges dans des dortoirs.
La route de Marangu a un chemin bien défini, qui a été bien aménagé là où la plupart des obstacles ont été modifiés pour les rendre plus faciles à franchir. Il s'agit d'un itinéraire très pittoresque qui offre de bonnes vues sur le Mawenzi et d'excellentes perspectives d'observation et d'atteinte du sommet.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport; meet by our knowledgeable driver-guide, after greetings and double-check your bags will transfer you to Moshi town (45 minutes’ drive). The briefing will be provided by your Kilimanjaro professional and experienced guide. Your Kilimanjaro guide will also check your climbing equipment. Anything missing can be rented for you.

Our 8-Days Mount Kilimanjaro Safari, Marangu Route begins, with a morning pre-climb briefing and introductions. Our team will proceed by drive to Kilimanjaro Park’s. Eastern Gate Marangu, which lies at 1,860 m, here, your head guide arranges all necessary permits and registration for rescue and search services before you start the walk to Mandara Hut’s 2,700 m.

Early in the morning after breakfast, the group will depart Mandara Hut to start a moderate trek towards the second high altitude camp: Horombo Hut (3,720 m). When you reach the camp on this day, you will be treated to views of two volcanos at once: Kibo and Mawenzi.
Several hours after lunch you will have to complete an acclimatization hike in the direction of Kibo Hut with a 200-meter gain in altitude, and then hike back down to Horombo Hut where dinner will be prepared for you.

After breakfast, you will go on an acclimatization hike towards Kibo Hut/Zebra rock and back. After lunch, you have the opportunity to walk around the surrounding area, take pictures of Mawenzi Volcano or just sleep before the upcoming trekking to Kibo Hut.

On this day, right after breakfast, the group will be trekking to the Kibo Hut (4,700 m). The actual trekking is not very difficult, just remember to stick with an appropriate pace to keep up your strength for the climbing Kilimanjaro’s summit. When you reach the camp, you will be served lunch, after which we recommend you sleep as much as you can, avoid any strenuous activity, and drink lots of water.

Hiking Time: 4- 8 hours
Accommodation: Kibo Hut.
Night departure from Kibo Hut (4,700 m) and the start of your trekking to Kilimanjaro’s summit: Uhuru peak (5,895 m). This stretch of Marangu Route is of moderate physical difficulty, but high altitude puts any climber’s body to the test. For the entire length of the trekking, each pair of climbers will be accompanied by their own guide, who will be monitoring your stamina and mental resolve. After your successful ascent to Uhuru Peak, you can descend to the nearest glacier if desired. Then you will return to Kibo Camp and after a two-hour rest continue your descent to Horombo Hut (3,720 m).

Hiking Time: 9 – 12 hours

You will be offered a warm breakfast in the morning, after which we will head for the Kilimanjaro National Park’s exit: Marangu Gate (1,860 m). After your descent, the whole group will gather to congratulate you, and then you will have the chance to share your opinions on the trip in the guestbook. Lastly, we will present you with your commemorative certificates (in our office) and provide you a transfer back to the hotel.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking. This deposit forms part of the payment for the trip and
shall be offset to the total amount charged to the client/agent. If the full amount is not paid at least
three (3) weeks prior to departure, the Company reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and
the deposit shall be forfeited. Clients/Agents booking within four (3) weeks of tour departure are
required to pay the full amount immediately to secure the reservation. All bank charges are to be settled
by the client or agent respectively. This includes transaction fees charged by our bank. The amount
shown on the invoice is the amount that needs to reflect in our account and should bank charges have
been deducted, we would have to invoice you subsequently.CANCELLATIONSCancellations must be sent in writing to the office that confirmed the reservation. Cancellations shall
only be effective from the date of receipt of cancellation by the booking office. In case of a booking
cancellation, the Company shall retain the full deposit. If a booking is cancelled the client is subject to a
cancellation fee as follows: Until 3 weeks prior to departure – 30% Cancellation Fee 4-2 weeks prior to
departure – 50% Cancellation Fee 2-1 weeks prior to departure – 75% Cancellation Fee Less than 1 week
prior to departure – 100% Cancellation Fee The Company reserves the right to cancel any tour at its sole
and absolute discretion, without prior notification in instances where this is unavoidable. However, in
that case the Company agrees to refund all monies already paid by the client. This shall be the
Company’s sole responsibility to the client and no claim for any damages, howsoever arising, shall
accrue against the company.
