La Via Transilvanica est un sentier de randonnée longue distance en Roumanie, qui s'étend sur plus de 1 400 kilomètres de la frontière nord avec l'Ukraine à la partie sud du pays. Elle traverse certains des paysages les plus beaux et les plus diversifiés de Transylvanie. La région de Terra Siculorum, connue pour sa riche histoire, ses villages pittoresques et l'héritage culturel du peuple Szekler (Siculi), est un élément clé de ce sentier.

In the late afternoon, transfer to the small village of Praid. In Praid, you will also visit the famous salt mine.

After breakfast, you will start the moderate hike in the land of the Szeklers.
Since there are no water sources along the route today, please bring enough water. There are two more challenging ascents: the first is longer, and the second is shorter but steeper. After getting an overview of the Szeklerland, you will descend to the village of Atia and visit the Hungarian village.

Today, you will walk a longer but well-marked, easy route. The hike will take you through small villages with charming houses, Szekler gates like jewels, and centuries-old homes. The connections between the villages may be on asphalt, uphill, or on young forest paths.
Your large luggage will be transferred for you to the guesthouse in Lupeni, just like the previous day.
In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Lupeni.

Today's route is well-marked, moderately difficult, balanced, with little asphalt. You will again pass through traditional Szekler villages, hills, and forests. The route also leads to the “Heart of Jesus,” a large statue that visitors can ascend to admire the surrounding landscapes. You will pass through Dealu, a village known for organizing a palinka (brandy) festival, and then hike through the hills and other traditional villages to reach Odorheiu Secuiesc.
Dinner and overnight stay for 1 night in Odorheiu Secuiesc.
In the morning, you will visit the town center of Odorheiu Secuiesc. Since the route has not passed through a town for a long time, this is the right place to restock your wardrobe, repair your backpacks, or replace your hiking shoes.
Then, the hike continues to the hills above the town, where there are meadows with sheepfolds, followed by dense forest, traditional villages, and wild cherry trees along the roadside.
In the afternoon, you will arrive in Martiniș.

After breakfast, we pack our daily provisions.
Today, we have a longer tour with a moderate level of difficulty. The landscape begins to change at the border between two cultures: Szekler and Saxon. The path leads through fields, forests, gravel roads, and grass paths with little asphalt, passing through the villages of Rareș, Sânpaul, Daia, Iașu, and Ulieș, with the destination being Dârjiu, where you can admire the architecture of the Saxon-influenced Szekler churches and houses.
Dinner and overnight stay for 1 night in Dârjiu.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast.
Afterwards, you will visit the fortified church of Dârjiu (a UNESCO World Heritage site).
Then, on the final part of our hike, a light route through fields, forests, gravel roads, and grass paths with a little asphalt will take you to the village of Mujna, reaching your destination in Archita, where you can admire the architecture of the fortified church and Saxon houses.
In the afternoon, transfer to Sighișoara.
Optional: after a refreshing break, explore the romantic citadel (UNESCO World Heritage site) with a guided city tour, including its guild towers, churches, colorful houses, and cobblestone streets.
Free time in Sighișoara.
Dinner and overnight stay for 1 night in Sighișoara.
After breakfast, depending on your departure time, transfer to Sibiu Airport.
