Tour program
Bienvenue en Alaska !
Start point
Aspen Suites Hotel Anchorage, 100 E Tudor Rd, Anchorage, Alaska 99503, United States
17:00 - 18:00
D'Anchorage au parc national Denali et à Talkeetna
We scoop you up from the hotel and depart Anchorage, heading North for Denali National Park. On the way we stop at Talkeetna to explore a once blue collar Alaskan town turned artsy, adventure hub!
As we arrive at Denali National Park we set up camp for two nights and have a delicious home cooked meal around the campfire, chatting and getting ready to explore Denali National Park.
Parc national de Denali
We head out to explore Denali, riding the National Park bus into the park on the only road in Denali. We take the early bus, as it is the best time to spot the abundant wildlife that Denali NP is known for. From deep inside the park you can hop on and off the bus anytime you wish, to get a closer look at the many beautiful sights or to stretch your legs.
You can either spend the whole deay exploring Denali NP or spend the afternoon heading out on a rafting trip!
Le jet boat dans la nature
Start your day off with a guided hike to Triple Lakes, a trail leading to a series of scenic alpine lakes near Denali National Park, then depart from our next stop. We load up into a jetboat and speed into the wilderness to camp along the remote banks of a river in the wilderness near Denali National Park, but completely cut off from the rest of the world!
Roadtrip vers Valdez et le glacier Worthington
As we return from our wilderness camp by jetboat, we load into the van and head out for a scenic roadtrip through the expansive Alaskan wilderness, bound for Valdez. Valdez is known as one of the most resilient cities in America, having been completely rebuilt after a Tsunami wiped it out in the 60's.
Along the way we stop to admire the Worthington Glacier, which is one of the most impressive glacier views in Alaska!
Excursion en kayak dans la baie de Shoup
We head out on one of the most special adventures you can have in Alaska, loading into a boat and travelling into the ocean wilderness, bound for Shoup Bay Marine Park. From here, we hop into sea kayaks (with qualified guides and easy instructions), and spend a few hours kayaking among the floating chunks of ice that have calved off from the glaciers at the head of the bay. This is one of the coolest experiences in Alaska, maybe even in all of North America, and the photo opportunity of a lifetime!
Roadtrip McCarthy
Next we pack up camp and head a few hours further down the road to McCarthy, Alaska, where we will be based from as we explore the majestic mountains of Wrangell-St Elias NP.
McCarthy is as much an Alaskan town as it gets! There are only 100 year round residents, which you will likely encounter on the one block sized town. The neighbouring town, Kennecott, is Alaska's most famous ghost town, left over and preserved from the Goldrush days a hundred years ago!
This is where we will be based as we explore Wrangell-St Elias NP over the next few days.
Randonnée sur le sentier du glacier Root
Today we hike the Root Glacier trail, working to get unbelievable views of the massive glacier. The trail is approximately 6 miles (10 km) long and takes a few hours to complete, but the views are something you won't find anywhere else in the world!
The glacier seems to almost stretch out and swallow you as we hike along the trail. You could almost reach out and touch the ice from the viewpoints!
In the afternoon, you have options to head out for a guided ice walk, go rafting, flightseeing, or explore the historic gold mining town of Kennecott.
Randonnée au glacier Kennecott et excursion à Glenallen
Spend the morning hiking to get epic views of Kennecott Glacier, another one of the legendary sheets of ice that call Wrangell-St Elias NP home. Once you've taken all the photos you want, we pack up camp and hop in the van to begin heading towards Seward, stopping in Glenallen to spend the night. The drive from McCarthy towards Anchorage and Seward is considered one of the most beautiful in Alaska and even in America!
Parc national de Seward et Kenai Fjords
We finish our roadtrip along Alaska's most scenic road, arriving in Seward. Along the way we stop to admire glaciers, and a few other scenic stops and short walks along the way.
Seward is a quaint seaside town and the gateway to the remarkably beautiful and rugged ocean inlets that lie just beyond.
Champ de glace Harding et baie de Resurrection !
Start your day off with a visit to Exit Glacier, which seems to almost be tumbling into your lap to make one of the most impressive glacier views in all of America. From here you can choose between hiking the Harding Icefield trail for the day or hopping on a wildlife cruise to Resurrection Bay.
The Harding Icefield Trail is an incredible hike that take you to viewpoints above the Harding Icefield that you should truly need to mountaineer for days to have access to, and the wildlife cruise in Resurrection Bay is a fantastic chance to see whales and orcas, icebergs and mystical sea stacks of Kenai Fjords National Park.
The toughest part is choosing which to go with, but either way, you are in for a great day!
Retour à Anchorage
Today we pack up and head along the gorgeous highway back to Anchorage. We drop you off at Anchorage Airport at roughly 2 pm, so you can catch a flight out after 5 pm, or stay on in Anchorage for extra days.
End point
Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), 5000 W Intl Airport Rd, Anchorage, Alaska 99502, United States
