Le Manaslu, situé dans le nord de la chaîne himalayenne du district de Gorkha, est considéré comme la 8ème plus haute montagne du monde.


Outre l'ascension du mont Manaslu, cette région est également réputée pour ses randonnées. Le circuit du Manaslu est un chemin remarquable pour les randonneurs au Népal. Il s'agit des sentiers cachés de la région du Manaslu.


Ce court trek de 11 jours sur le circuit du Manaslu est rempli de nature, de culture et d'aventure. Ce trek traverse des forêts de bambous et d'étroites colonies Gurung.

Petit trek du circuit du Manaslu - Meilleure période

La plupart des gens considèrent l'automne (septembre, octobre, novembre) et le printemps (mars, avril, mai) comme les meilleures périodes pour faire du trekking dans la région du Manaslu.


L'automne et le printemps sont tous deux considérés comme la haute saison pour le trekking au Népal. Pendant l'automne, le temps et la température sont agréables.


Le ciel est dégagé et la visibilité des montagnes est parfaite. La température dans la région du Manaslu n'est ni chaude ni froide. C'est la période idéale pour franchir le col de Larke La.


Le printemps est la plus belle des saisons, car la nature commence à retrouver sa beauté. Les feuilles mortes commencent à retrouver leur verdure et à la répandre dans toute la région.


Les fleurs commencent à éclore, donnant à tout un air de fraîcheur et de nouveauté. Vous pouvez vous promener dans la forêt avec le magnifique parfum qui émane des fleurs.


Vous pouvez vous attendre à des précipitations irrégulières et à des chutes de neige à la fin du mois de mai, mais le temps sera chaud à basse altitude.


Si vous souhaitez faire du trekking en hiver ou pendant la mousson, c'est possible. Mais la randonnée sera passionnante car la température augmentera. Peu de gens font du trekking pendant cette période de l'année, ce qui la rend paisible.


Le trekking en période de mousson est assez aventureux car les sentiers sont humides, boueux et il y a des risques de glissements de terrain et d'inondations dus à la pluie.


Si vous êtes un aventurier qui aime les expériences palpitantes, la saison de la mousson est faite pour vous. En prenant de l'altitude, vous découvrirez des vues à couper le souffle et des phénomènes naturels impressionnants qui ne se produisent qu'ici.


Lorsque la pluie s'estompe, vous serez stupéfait par la clarté de la vue sur les montagnes.


Les sentiers du circuit du Manaslu bénéficient d'un temps sec et d'un ciel plus clair pendant les saisons hivernales. En raison des chutes de neige, les itinéraires peuvent être perturbés, ce qui peut entraîner un blocage entre les chemins.


Le temps est chaud en journée et devient froid à la tombée de la nuit. Il peut faire jusqu'à -20ºC tôt le matin et la nuit. Le paysage que vous voyez le long du chemin fait que le trekking en vaut la peine.


Si vous avez décidé de partir en randonnée en hiver ou pendant la mousson, prévoyez des vêtements chauds et un imperméable pour les jours de pluie. En effet, à mesure que vous montez en altitude, il fait de plus en plus froid.


Difficultés du trek du Manaslu

Le circuit du Manaslu couvre une distance totale de 177 kilomètres. Le trek est très varié puisqu'il va de son point le plus bas 228 m à son point le plus haut 8163 m.


Lors d'un trekking dans ces régions, vous devez être préparé mentalement et physiquement. Les itinéraires sont irréguliers et rocailleux, ce qui peut fatiguer les personnes en mauvaise condition physique. Avant de partir en randonnée, entraînez-vous et habituez-vous à marcher sur des surfaces irrégulières.


En altitude, vous pouvez marcher 6 à 8 heures par jour avec un sac léger. La préparation du corps et de l'esprit est donc importante pour rendre le trekking agréable et mémorable.


Au cours de ce trek, vous traverserez différents climats, altitudes et paysages. De nombreux trekkeurs commencent à ressentir le mal de l'altitude à partir de 2500m. Que vous soyez novice ou expérimenté, si vous ne randonnez pas correctement et ne prenez pas soin de votre corps, vous souffrirez du mal de l'altitude.


C'est pourquoi, lorsque vous randonnez à une altitude plus élevée, vous devez adapter votre corps. Pour aider votre corps à s'adapter, des séances d'acclimatation sont organisées dans certains endroits. Pour éviter le mal de l'altitude, vous pouvez marcher lentement, vous reposer régulièrement et boire beaucoup d'eau.


Le temps joue toujours un rôle crucial lors d'une randonnée. Pendant la journée, il fait assez chaud, mais la nuit, il fait presque froid.


Pendant la saison hivernale, les routes peuvent être bloquées en raison d'une épaisse couche de neige. Les cols élevés comme le Larkya La Pass peuvent être fermés en raison de fortes chutes de neige. Cependant, il est possible de faire du trekking dans la région du circuit du Manaslu pendant la saison hivernale.


La région du circuit du Manaslu reçoit une bonne quantité de précipitations pendant la saison estivale. Les sentiers peuvent être glissants et pleins de sangsues. Mais la vue qui s'offre à vous après la pluie en vaut la peine.


Vous devez être bien préparé, quelle que soit la saison, car les changements climatiques sont imprévisibles.

Programme du circuit

Day 1

Départ de Katmandou en voiture pour Arughat, puis trekking vers Soti Khola.

The first day of your trek is going to be a drive from the cultural capital Kathmandu to Arughat. The drive is about 5 to 6 hours covering a distance of 138 km. On your way to Arughat, you will pass many villages and view beautiful scenarios of mountains and hills.


Your first trek starts from Arughat to Soti Khola covering a distance of 13 km. It takes about 5 hours to reach your destination today. The routes are a little rough following Budhi Gandaki upstream from Arughat to Soti Khola.


The towns of Arughat and Soti Khola are active villages in the lower Gorkha district. They have many shops and stores where people living in villages around the Gorkha and Dhading areas visit to buy local commodities. 


Today you will stay at Soti Khola and call it a night.

Day 2

Trek vers Machha Khola

The second day of your trek will be towards Machha Khola which is about 5 to 6 hours walk. It covers the distance of around 14.1 km at an altitude of 930 m.


It is the beginning part of your trails where you experience unspoiled cultures. As you walk steeply uphill along the Budhi Gandaki River you pass through many villages i.e. Armala, Lapubesi, Khanibesi, etc.


The routes are filled with eye-pleasingly green forests, blue rivers, unique landscapes, rich flora, and fauna, etc. You will witness the changes in the landscape as you climb higher in the altitude.


As you walk through suspension bridges, forests, and pasture land you reach Machha Khola. You will stay overnight at Machha Khola.

Day 3

De Machha Khola à Jagat

Today you will be traveling from Machha Khola to Jagat covering the distance of 22.2 km. It takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach there as you will be passing Gurung villages along the way. This path is exotic and has remained isolated and unspoiled so far.


The walk is going to be adventurous as you will be passing through rugged terrains viewing the magnificent mountains and exploring the culture. You will be walking through the uphills and downhills path. 


About an hour’s walk, you reach khorla besi village then arrive at Tatopani known for having the natural hot springs. From there you walk through the suspension bridge built above the flowing Budhi Gandaki river.


As you arrive Doban you take a sharp decline towards the Budhi Gandaki banks reaching Jagat.


Jagat is situated at an elevation of 1410 m where you will be spending your night.

Day 4

Trek vers Deng

On the fourth day, you travel from Jagat to Deng covering the distance of 19.9 km. It takes about 6 to 8 hours to reach the destination. 


You will be trekking through the river banks and hills experiencing the different natural beauties. It is very populated by thick forests filled with oak, birch, and pine trees.


Today also you will be crossing several suspension bridges while crossing over Budhi Gandaki and several small rivers. On your way, you will enter Philim, one of the Gurung villages in Manaslu region. They have a large number of small monasteries, mani walls, and flags. 


The trek will be somewhat different as you will be able to see different species of flora and fauna. The village of Deng is situated 1800 m above sea level and one of the best places for viewing the mountains.


You will rest here tonight.

Day 5

Trek vers Namrung

You will be walking from Deng to Namrung covering a distance of 19.4 km. It takes 5 to 6 hours to reach Namrung from Deng.


Along the way, you get to see many Buddhist mani walls, monasteries, and flags. Numerous worshippers of Buddha live in this part of the Manaslu region.


You will notice the beauty this region has to show as you trail in these paths. You will stay the night in Namrung which is situated at an altitude of 3530 m.

Day 6

De Namrung à Samagaun

On your sixth day, you will be heading towards Samagaun covering the distance of 18.6 m. You will walk past the alpine forest and be able to sight Mount Manaslu.


After walking for about 6 hours you reach Samagoan where you will call it night and rest there.

Day 7

Repos avocation

Today is your acclimatization day, you will be resting and helping your body adjust with the climate at higher altitude. Acclimatization is done to prevent your body from altitude sickness.


As it’s your rest day, you can explore the Buddhist village Samagaon. And learn the lifestyle and culture of the people living in that area.


You can also hike up to Manaslu base camp or visit the Pungyen Monastery. Pungyen monastery is situated in the south of Samagaon which takes two and a half hours to reach. 


It is a Buddhist temple surrounded by many high mountains. You get the view of Majestic Manaslu and other mountains. You can also see the yak and thars grazing in the pasture land.


When you reach the monastery you also get the striking view of glaciers. The glacier melts into Birendra tal one of the turquoise glacier lakes.


Whereas Manaslu Base Camp is situated on the north side of Samagaon. If you want to prepare yourself for Larke La Pass it is suggested that you should visit the base camp.


You have to climb the steady trails so walk slowly and keep your body hydrated.


After spending your day exploring the village you return back and call it a night.

Day 8

De Samagaun à Dharmashala

Today you will wake up early to view the beautiful sunrise and head towards Dharmashala. You will be walking for about 8 to 9 hours.


You will be crossing the field and climbing towards the valley. On the way, yaks can be seen grazing in the pasture lands. While walking the paths you will enter forests filled with juniper and birch. 


Also, the dazzling view of Landscape from the Tibetan border will astound you. You will be passing through Larke bazaar a Tibetan Seasonal Market. 


Nature will astound you with its beauty as you observe mother nature all the way to Dharmashala.


Walking these trails, you get to sight hanging glaciers, mani walls, monasteries, etc. And you will also view the Larke glacier as you cross the streams. 


Gradually ascending after trekking around Salka Khola a valley before you reach Dharamshala. 


Dharmashala was once a trading spot but it is now used as a resting stop for trekkers. Trekkers spent the night here to regain energy after a long walk.

Day 9

De Dharmashala à Bimtang

On your ninth day, you will trek from Dharmashala to Bimtang covering a distance of 24.7 km. You will be walking for about 8 to 9 hours today.


Your trek begins from Dharmashala crossing Larke La pass reaching Bimtang. The paths between them surround the unstained natural beauty that has remained isolated so far. 


This area is owned by Tamang and Gurung people who have their own extraordinary culture and tradition. The culture they have is similar to Tibetans which you will get to experience.


Larke La pass requires a special restricted area permit to trek in this area. It is the highest point you have to reach on the trek. From the Larke La Pass, you can view the high Himalayan scenario. 


Walking through these trails you sight different mountains like Manaslu, Annapurna, Himlung, etc. The exotic landscape, beautiful valley, flora, and fauna make your journey an unforgettable one.


From the majestic pass, you start heading towards Bimtang situated at an altitude of 3720 m. After a long walk, you will stay your night here.

Day 10

De Bimtang à Dharapani

Today is the second last day of your trek and last day in the Manaslu region. You will be traveling from Bimtang to Dharapani. You will be covering a distance of 26.4 km traveling about 8 to 9 hours.


You will begin your journey by crossing the Bhimtang Glaciers in the south. Then you will climb uphill entering a beautiful forest filled with colorful rhododendron between huge pine trees with the marvelous view of Manaslu at the back. 


As you descend and walk along the banks of Dudh Khola and cross it using the wooden bridge you will enter a village named Goa. The valley begins to get agricultural as you pass through fields.


Again, you reach another village Tilje and pass under a stone arch crossing the Dudh Khola and descending all the way to Marsyangdi village in the north. You will then climb up and walk the suspension bridge over the Marsyandi River to join the Annapurna trail.


Reaching the trails, you turn left to reach Dharapani situated at an altitude of 1963 m and spend the night there.

Day 11

Retour à Katmandou depuis Dharapani en jeep ou en bus

Today you will be returning back to Kathmandu covering a distance of 118 km. The drive will be about 9 to 10 hours this day. 


From Dharapani you can choose either jeep or bus as your transportation to return back. The drive will be via Besi Sahar giving you the opportunity to enjoy the Landscapes as you drive through the banks of Marsyandi and Trishuli river.

25% down payment which you can transfer to Bank Account in Kathmandu / Nepal rest of the trip cost to be made on arrival in Kathmandu before trek / tour departures, where applicable foreign currencies accepted like US $ – UK Pounds, and Euro or Chinese / Indian.

For Tibet and Bhutan at least minimum of one month booking ahead to arrange all logistic and entry permits for neighboring countries with 50% in advance.


Booking in Last Hour:

We accept your last hour booking in the eve of trip departure with 100% payment (07 days prior to tour starting date only for Nepal Trips, excluding trips Tibet, Bhutan and India not accepted as this requires at least 3 weeks in advance prior to trip departure for Nepal neighboring countries.

Trips Cancellation Policy:

On booking, some might be compelled to cancel the trip with various reasons from personal / domestic, medical, health, job or with some other situations, in this case where cancellation fees will be applied of 25% as cancellation charge, where you will be notified us or to our overseas agents with minimum of month in advance before trip departure.

60 % cancellation fee applied on 2 weeks to a month notice.

No refund on last minute or no show situation.

If clients has to return or break from the tour, trekking / or any other trips earlier than proposed itinerary days due to medical / physical or personal reasons clients has to borne his / her own expenses on route of trekking and at hotel in Kathmandu or in any other last main cities before you departure for home.

There are no refunds, if the company has to reroute to other areas due to unavoidable circumstances and from bad weather.

Clients’ Responsibility:

A tour / trekking guide representing our company holds all authority during treks and tours. If one behave badly or commit any unlawful act, where you will be compelled to leave the tour / treks. No refund will be made in such condition.

NEPAL VISA & PASSPORT CONDITION:

All clients are requested to have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date. Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.  The costs of Nepalese visas are sole / own responsibility of clients.

CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES FOR BHUTAN:

01: Required minimum of 30 days for cancellation notice prior to trip departure and it must be in written form, such notice will be implied from the day the note is received. Cancellation shall be valid after the company approval on receiving the documentation. The Trip shall then be termed as cancelled and then 50% of the trip amount would be deducted from the advance paid as cancellation charge.

02: There will be no refunds if a passenger cancels the trip or leaves a trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily, involuntarily or if you commit any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. We will make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.

03: On the eve of trip departure if you are prevented in joining the chosen tour, unfortunately there is no refund regarding this, transfer or postponing options are available as the Bhutanese Government has strict Tourism act and policies.

BHUTAN VISAS & PASSPORT CONDITIONS:

All clients requested to have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. For Bhutan visas you need to send your passport details to Destination Holidays for visa applications at least 45 days prior to the fix departure date.

TIBET CANCELLATION & BOOKING CHANGES:

01: As per the company rules, there will be no refund to clients with less than 20 days notice given to us, on or before Trip departure and if a clients leaves the trip earlier for due to personal or medical reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily and if committed any unlawful act after the trip has commenced. Then the company is compelled to make no refunds for any meals, accommodation or services not used.

02: If client require any changes from the chosen original tour, the person who have booked the tour must submit a written document with any changes required. Then we will make every effort after the notification, but the changes cannot be guaranteed.

03: If you are compelled to cancel from travelling on the tour by genuine reason or circumstances, for example (without restriction) due to death, injury or any serious illness of the person, close relative or friends, redundancy or jury service, in this case one may postpone or transfer your booking to another close person, as long or provided they meet all the requirements relating to that trip. You are requested to provide proof of why you were unable to travel at the time and need to change your booking.

Nepal visas can be obtained from the Nepal Consulate or Embassy in your country or upon arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.  The costs of Nepalese visas are sole responsibility of clients.

All clients must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date. As you are unable to obtain visas to Tibet you need to send your passport details to Destination Holidays for visa applications to this country, we require this information at least three weeks prior to departure.

HEALTH & FITNESS:

All Treks and Tours requires where one should be in sound health and good level of fitness before signing trip with us, client requires should with your Doctor or Physician regarding your health and fitness before the trip departures to Himalayan destinations.

It’s solely client’s responsibility to inform Eco Holidays Nepal of any pre-existing medical condition or disability that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of your required medical attention, which may affect your capability to travel on the trips booked with us.

CHILDREN:

An authorized guardian by the parents must accompany all travelers under the age of sixteen. If you have any queries regarding age and suitability, please contact us for further information.

PUBLICITY:

Request to allow Eco Holidays Nepal to use pictures, snaps or images of you taken during the trip without being informed and as well without compensation, for company promotion and advertising purpose only through whatever medium takes place.

CHANGES TO YOUR HOLIDAY AND PRICING:

Travelling with us requires a degree of flexibility, positive attitude good humor and understanding where mode of transport, accommodation and itineraries may change, even after the tour has commenced, without prior notice due to local circumstances such as flight delay, cancellation or postponement, road block due to riots and political crises.

WEATHER:

Himalayan regions or other unpredictable circumstances such as land-slides, road blockage, flood, snow, political unrest or delay arrival etc. Eco Holidays Nepal is unable to refund any payment under the above circumstances due to prior supplier arrangements. If possible we will always endeavor to provide you an alternative or substitute trip of same category.

Eco Holidays Nepal does not accept any responsibility for loss on employment, delays or compensation resulting from situations beyond our control.

Our holidays, tour / trek packages, are based on twin share accommodation. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to clients who do not have another tour participant to share accommodation with.

We reserve the right to revise pricing rates posted in our marketing material, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are further than our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc.

PRIVACY:

In order to gather information from you to make a booking through Eco Holidays Nepal  Destination, may ask many questions to obtain necessary permits etc. No private or personal information that you supply to us when making a booking will be disclosed for any other purposes.

RISK & LIABILITIES:

We are committed to providing the best services which will give you a once in a life time journey in this connection, we perform our duties honestly & seriously to make your journey very smooth & pleasant. However, the entire program is conducted strictly under the rules and regulation of theirs’ own policies.

Eco Holidays Nepal shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstance such as govt. restriction, Land slide, road blockage, flood, snow political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, sickness or accident, Any extra cost incurring there of shall be borne by the clients on the spots.

OUR RESPONSIBLE TOURISM POLICY

COMPLAINTS:

Should you have a complaint about the trip or tour you must make it known to a tour leader or guide at the earliest opportunity who will take the appropriate action.

IMPACT OF THE JOURNEY:

Eco Holidays Nepal makes great effort to ensure enjoyable, comfortable traveling within our limit and control.

Client also should understand that what you might be accustomed to the western affluent countries, Himalayan or Third World and Developing Countries can’t afford such facilities.

Weather is another factor that directly impact on the journey. Hence, patience and positive in mind, enthusiasm and proper preparation before hand is must in taking part around third world countries.

The best thing is to take as it comes and think positively, then you will enjoy the holiday with us.

Travel Insurance:

You must have complete travel insurance package against medical, travel for natural calamity, helicopter evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation etc. This is strongly suggested to all our respected clients.

Tour Amendment:

To make alterations of any trek / tour itinerary, prior notice is requested.

You are advised to stay in touch with us thus, but occasionally, you may be obliged to do so en route under certain circumstance for instance bad weather etc.

Your personal belongings:

On any account, we are not responsible for any loss or damage of your baggage / luggage or property even when it is shouldered by Eco Holiday Nepal  porters, yaks-ponies or vehicles.

That means your personal possessions; luggage might be at your risk at the times, and however our trip escorts and guides will provide necessary safety precautions that this does not arise while with us.

Papers & Documents:

All necessary documents should be presented in sequence for example to issue visa, obtain necessary permits etc. We are not accountable in case of any trip formality not completed in time before the trip departure on the absence of essential papers and documents.

Risk & Responsibility:

Assuring your complete safety and satisfaction which is our main responsibility and concern, we therefore carry out our service sincerely & earnestly ensuring a hassle free holiday.

Nevertheless, unless stated otherwise, trip may change under uncertain and inherent circumstances such as land-slides, road block, floods, heavy snow, political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accidents etc. Any extra cost incurring there is your personal responsibility and should be borne on the spot.

What’s included in our package service:

01: All Arrival and Departure Transportation from the airport to hotel and with our company staff to receive you on arrival and see you off at departure.

02: Guided Sightseeing tours in Kathmandu as per trip itinerary with applicable entrance fees and private coach and cars.

03: Twin sharing accommodation at tourist of 3 to 4 or 5 stars standard hotels in Kathmandu on Bed / Breakfast basis (Unless booked for Single Room Supplement) includes other cities with similar standard hotels.

04: Domestic Airfare as per the trip selected and Itinerary.

05: Applicable Trekking / Climbing Peaks / National or Conservation Permit Fees.

06: On full board trekking on Lodge basis with twin sharing accommodation includes all meals (breakfast-lunch and dinner)

07: On Camping services includes twin sharing tents (unless booked for single supplement) with separate kitchen unit backed by cook, kitchen staffs, guides and porters (in some area we use pack animals Yaks or Mules).

08: Private comfortable cars, coach or bus (as per the size of the group) on long driving journeys as per the trip selected.

09: Group Orientation program on do’s and don’ts regarding your trip.

10: International Air Tickets Re-Confirmation.

11: Our guide will have basic First Aid and Medical Kits.

Our Package excludes:

01: International Airfare-Nepal Entry Visa.

02: Personal Travel and Medical Insurance.

03: Expenses of Personal Nature-Gratitude and Meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per the program.

04: Personal Trekking / Climbing gear and equipment, down or duvet jackets, sleeping bags. (Sleeping bags and down jackets and climbing equipment can be hired in Kathmandu at reasonable cost if it’s too much to carry from home)

05: Emergency Evacuation if necessary by any means of transportation including Helicopter

and personal medical kit as prescribed by your doctors.

Trek / Tour Grades information:

Leisure tours or walking trips:

For any physically fit of all ages with sound health, these trips involves short walking days of few hours and more of tour with scenic drives at places of interest.  The whole trip goes from 4-5 to 8 days on trek or scenic tour.

On rafting for a day or two days.

Moderate Trips:

For any physically fit of all ages that have done normal walk and with sound health. These trips involves few ups and down and the length of treks will be from 4-5 hours of walk every day with plenty of break in between. The whole trip goes from 2-5 to 8 days.

Adventurous Trips:

For physically fit person of all ages with sound health who have done moderate to vigorous walk or activity before or at present. These kind of treks involves long ups and down and the length of treks will be from 6-7 hours of walk every day with break in between. The whole trip goes from 10 to 20 days in the high altitude. On Rafting it involves river expedition for 7 -10 days.
