Itinéraire

LePikey Peak est connu pour ses vues panoramiques à couper le souffle sur le mont Everest, le mont Dhaulagiri et le mont Kanchenjunga. Le Pikey Peak est une colline enneigée qui est populaire pour les courtes randonnées et où les Sherpas locaux placent des drapeaux de prière au sommet. Pikey porte le nom d'une divinité sherpa locale et représente le ciel au-dessus de la nature. Comment se rendre au Pikey Peak ?

Le trek du pic Pikey commence à Katmandou et prend environ 7 à 8 heures pour atteindre Dhap (2 900 m). Nous partons à pied de Dhap, et sur notre chemin vers notre destination finale, nous passons par Jhapre, un charmant village local. De Jhapre, nous continuons jusqu'à la base de Pikey Peak (3 640 m), où nous pouvons admirer la beauté naturelle et la région pittoresque des collines. La randonnée nous mènera au Pikey Peak (4 065 m), puis à Jase Bhanjyang pendant deux heures avant d'arriver à notre destination. Le Pikey Peak offre une vue panoramique à couper le souffle sur l'Everest, le Dhaulagiri et le Kanchenjunga. Après avoir passé un peu de temps sur le Pikey Peak, nous retournons à Junbesi (2 700 m), un village de Sherpas locaux. Vous partirez ensuite en randonnée de Junbeshi à Salleri, où vous pourrez visiter un monastère bien connu. De Salleri, retour à Katmandou.

Les meilleures périodes de l'année pour randonner au Pikey Peak sont de septembre à novembre et de mars à mai. Ces saisons sont connues pour leur beau temps et leurs vues époustouflantes. Day 1

Arrivée à Katmandou

Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal! You will be greeted at the airport by an Asian Heritage Treks & Travel representative holding your nameplate. Then you will be transferred to the hotel following your arrival at the airport in Nepal. On the way, you will pass through Pashupatinath Temple, the Royal Palace Museum, also known as Narayanhity Palace, and the Garden of Dreams, and reach Thamel. Your accommodation will be located downtown at the tourist hub. There will be enough time to roam around the streets of Thamel.


Accommodation: an overnight stay at Yatri Suites and Spa or a similar one.

Day 2

Today, start your journey with the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kathmandu Durbar Square. Admire the intricate wood-carved temples and structures that provide glimpses into the city's rich history. Next, visit Swyambhunath, the iconic Monkey Temple where Buddhism and Hinduism coexist peacefully, and observe panoramic views of Kathmandu's endless landscape.

Continue your exploration with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site in Southeast Asia. Explore Guweyswori Temple, another important pilgrimage site, and immerse yourself in the lively local culture. Your journey takes you to the 600 AD Boudhanath Stupa, the only stupa of its kind in the world, which represents Buddhism. Explore the area's rich heritage and wrap up your day's activities before returning to your hotel after learning about Kathmandu's diverse cultural and spiritual heritage.

Day 3

Route de Katmandou à Dhap (2900m), (7 heures).

Our guide will meet you at your hotel early in the morning and drive you to Dhap. The road goes along the Sun Koshi River, which merges with the Tama Koshi River to form another Koshi River before reaching Ghurmi. You'll see a lot of settlements and bazaars along the way. When you arrive in Dhap, take the opportunity to explore the local bazaar and learn about the local way of life.

Includes: breakfast, and overnight stay in an available local lodge.

Day 4

De Dhap à Jhapre (2830m) via Sigane (4 heures)

Today, we begin our journey by walking along the dusty roads leading to Sigane. We arrive in Jhapre after a long walk down the dusty road. Jhapre is well-known for its viewpoint overlooking mountains such as Mt. Everest and the Numbur Himal. You can also see stupas and monasteries here.

Day 5

De Jhapre à la base de Pikey Peak (3600m), (5 heures)

Witness the breathtaking sunrise over Jhapre, where the first golden rays illuminate the snow-capped mountains. We continue our trek along the trail and eventually arrive at Bhulbule. The trail then becomes steeper, taking us through rhododendron forests and small settlements in Lhamuje.

After crossing Lhamuje, we enter yak-grazing pastures and pass by a long Mani wall before ascending to Pikey Base Camp. You can visit the Yak Cheese Factory and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayas.

Day 6

Randonnée jusqu'au Pikey Peak (4065m) et retour à Junbeshi (2390m), (6 heures)

In the early morning, hike to Pikey Peak to enjoy the glorious sunrise over the Himalayas, such as Mt. Everest (8848m), Numbur Chuli (6958m), Thamserku (6608m), Kangtega (6782m), Khatang (6853m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Manaslu (8163m), Gaurishankar (7134m), Dorje Lakpa (6966 m), and Langtang. After enjoying the view, return to Pikey Peak Base Camp, and from there, hike down to Junbesi, followed by the descent to Lamjura. Crossing many Mani walls and Chortens on our way, we will reach Junbesi.

Day 7

Junbeshi à Salleri (2360 m), (4-5 heures)

Explore the charming Sherpa culture in the picturesque village of Junbeshi, where you can immerse yourself in Sherpa traditions and visit a well-known monastery. As we continue from Junbeshi, the trail winds through colorful prayer flags, spinning prayer wheels, and carefully carved mantra stone walls, providing a fully immersive cultural experience. After arriving in Salleri, relax and recharge at the cozy lodge, or go on a rewarding hike to Phaplu, where you can visit the famous Tibetan monastery and learn more about the region's rich spiritual heritage.

Day 8

De Salleri à Katmandou (8-9 heures)

Take a scenic drive from Salleri to Kathmandu, enjoying breathtaking views of lush hills and picturesque slopes along the way. When you arrive in Kathmandu, soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Thamel, which is known for its bustling streets lined with shops and stalls. Enjoy a delightful shopping spree, surfing through an assortment of souvenirs, handicrafts, and trinkets, ideal for bringing back cherished memories of your journey for yourself and your loved ones.

Day 9

Visites de Patan et Bhaktapur

Today, our guide will welcome you and drive you to Patan. The driver will take you to one of Kathmandu Valley's ancient cities, Patan Durbar Square, for sightseeing. You will also visit the Krishna Temple and Patan Durbar Square, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Later, visit the Patan Museum to learn about Patan's history and kings.

Later, visit the Golden Temple, which is popular among both Hindus and Buddhists, as well as the Banglamukhi Temple. Then, after we visit Bhaktapur, you will be amazed by the architecture, as the city has managed to preserve its original form to this day. You can see old wood-carved buildings all over Bhaktapur.

Explore the surrounding area before visiting the Nyatapola Temple, one of Nepal's largest temples. You will visit Pottery Square. You can also take a pottery-making class using traditional methods. You will learn how to design your pot, and once you've figured out the basic shape, you can decorate it with beautiful patterns and inscriptions.

Day 10

Départ

After breakfast, your trip will come to an end. Our representative will pick you up with a private van and drop you off at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport approximately three hours before your scheduled flight back to your home or other destination.

Terms & Conditions

Introductory provision:

“Company” refers to Asian Heritage Travel.

“Customer” refers to any person or organization trading with the Company or its employees or sub-contractors whether relating to the Companies products or services. 

“Contract” refers to the agreement between the Company and the Customer in relation to a booking.

“Holiday package” refers to any activity, trek, tour, course, accommodation or service offered by the Company. 

“Working days” means:  Sundays to Fridays, with the exception of recognized public holidays.

“Office hours” mean:  Sundays to Fridays from 08:00-18:00, with the exception of recognized public holidays.

“Group member” refers to an individual who falls within a group which is related to a Holiday package being offered by the Company.

 

Terms & Conditions:

These Terms and Conditions, together with all information relating to your chosen Holiday package, shall be part of the Contract between Asian Heritage Treks & Expeditions (“the Company”) and you (“the Customer”). Please read them carefully as they set out your and our respective rights and obligations. By asking the Company to confirm your booking, the Company is entitled to assume that the Customer has had the opportunity to read these booking conditions and legally agrees to abide by them.

 

Note:

When you confirm the Holiday package, we need a photo copy of your passport and upon the creation of the Contract; a deposit must be paid equal to 15% of the total agreed travel sum. The remainder of the travel sum must be received by the Company no later than six weeks before the day of departure. If the Contract is concluded within 6 weeks of the day of departure, the travel sum must be paid immediately and in full. Different terms and conditions may exist between other Customers and the Company; these terms and conditions are not transferable. In addition, payment arrangements may differ. This will not render the remainder of the contract void.

 

Asian Heritage Travel cannot be held responsible for the following:

• Injury, accident, illness, death while on the Holiday package unless negligence is proven against the Company.

• The loss, theft or damage to valuable or personal property such as camera, sunglasses, luggage.

• Alterations in the itinerary, and any subsequent costs, resulting from such events as illness of a Group member, unsafe weather conditions, delayed flights, and non-granting of permits or visas.

 

Cancelation charges:

Should you need to cancel your chosen Holiday package after it has been confirmed, you must immediately inform the Company in written form by recorded delivery post, fax or email. The notice of cancellation will only be effective when the Company receives it in written form. Cancellations outside Office hours are deemed to have been made on the next Working day. 

If a contract is cancelled, the Customer is liable to pay cancellation charges in addition to any booking charges. The cancellation charges are as follows:

• cancellation up to the 42nd day before the day of departure: the deposit;

• cancellation from the 42nd day up to the 28th day before the day of departure: 35% of the travel sum;

• cancellation from the 28th day up to the 21st day before the day of departure: 40% of the travel sum;

• cancellation from the 21st day up to the 14th day before the day of departure: 50% of the travel sum;

• cancellation from the 14th day up to the 5th day before the day of departure: 75% of the travel sum;

• cancellation from the 5th day up to the day of departure: 90% of the travel sum;

• cancellation on the day of departure or later: the full travel sum.
